 Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 "Oh, well I'm sorry. I would not want to waste your time. But I do wish to become stronger. Yet I will respect your wishes. Perhaps sooner or later, I can show you just how strong I can be. If you do not think it to be a waste of time." "But of course. I do hope you enjoy." Cherry walked back to the bleachers and took a seat on the bottom one. She positioned the guitar so it was sitting up slightly as her hands came up to the neck of it. Gently, she began plucking at the strings that were on the neck as she started playing the song he had requested. She may have been an idol, but this song was very popular. It was a song that everyone should have heard at least once in their lifetime. The look she got while playing the song was something serene. It was the calming, soothing effect of the melody. The way her fingers plucked at the strings would remind one of a gentle caress. As if her fingers were one with the guitar. Once the song was finished, she turned and looked to Fenrir. Something was bothering her now. The Gene-X was starting to kick in. She was feeling sick, and her vision was starting to blur. But she wasn't about to say anything about it either.

Fenrir ignored most of what the girl said and headed for the door, but was stopped at the sound of his familiar tune. He stopped and glanced back at her. Needless to say, Fenrir didn't really expect her to know it. However, it sounded differently on guitar than when he'd listened to it. The tune popped back into his mind, and the room training room seemed to understand that thought because the classical version started playing throughout the room, giving no real place of origin as the notes hang in the air. Fenrir grew a slim grin and laughed lightly to himself. "Heh, "art is the greatest illusion"." He quoted, as a familiar musician once quoted to him before. And Fenrir focused on Cherry. "Stick around rookie. I might decide to show you a few things if you're still here when I get back." The wolfish teen gave her a light wave and headed out. The music soon faded out with him gone.

Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 After he left, Cherry toppled off of the bleachers. She was breathing hard as her vision dove in and out, going from light to darkness. She laid there with a sick feeling, waiting for it to pass. When it did, she was in for a lot more than just a simple sick feeling and weary vision. As she rolled over and pushed herself up, she started putting the guitar back into the case, only to find the room warping before her. What it became reminded her of the place she had been forced to call home for eight years. The base of the Yakuza boss. Her eyes went wide as all she could see were dark halls and cold wooden floors. She looked left and right, trying to figure out exactly where she was. Though she tried to contain it, her heart was beating swiftly, and she was starting to panic. "I must really be tripping balls this time..." She commented to herself. Once her mind gave the illusion of men working for the boss, the image got a little too real. The pink idol turned and dashed from the training room, or rather, the illusion of the yakuza's headquarters.

Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 Cherry walked back inside and took her guitar out of the case again. She propped it up against the bleachers and took out the book she had borrowed. The woman looked at it and began examining it, reading through the book intently. She was a fast reader so it didn't take her long to finish reading it. Once she was done, she began her training. (Sound Control 1/2) She took a deep breath and began concentrating on her ki. It was a strange thing to do. She had never imagined actually using her Ki to accomplish something before. The woman took a deep breath and continued on trying to control it. Luckily, it wasn't too hard to Master. (Sound Control 2/2) Now she focused on the sounds around her. The noises the other students made. Taking a deep breath, she began using her ki to move the soundwaves around in the air. It wasn't hard to master and she soon found herself accomplishing this task. (sound control learned) (Stage 1 post 1/5) Cherry looked around. This place was much too noisy. So she grabbed her stuff and headed into one of the other rooms of the facility. Once there, Cherry sat down and pulled out an Ipod that she had on her. She would have to begin listening to different songs and replicate them. That didn't seem too hard. The first song she listened to was called Highly Strung. She sat with her eyes closed and let the music course through her veins. It was an upbeat tune, one she had grown very fond of recently. Of course, once it was over, Cherry picked up her guitar and began to play the tune. Her perception of the notes was wonderful, and she had played the entire song before too long. (2/5) The next song Cherry listened too was called Dance with Me. A song that absolutely enchanted her. She listened to the entire song with her eyes closed. Again, letting the tune, the voice, everything sink into her body and her mind. Once she was done, she grabbed her guitar and began playing the tune, singing along to the lyrics of one of her favorite songs. (3/5) The next song she picked, was another slower song. But it had a good beat. A song called 1-2-3-4. She enjoyed the melody and the lyrics. It had a good beat that made her feel as if nothing could go wrong. The woman closed her eyes and listened to the entire song, allowing it to sink into her mind. Once she was done, the woman picked up her guitar and played the song for herself. Singing her heart out with the lyrics. As she did, she felt her love of music growing. (4/5) The next song that came up just made Cherry smile. She used to listen to it when she was with Wren. Ah, those had been good times. Too bad he dropped her like a bad habit when the s**t came down. She sighed lightly and listened to the song. Once it was over, she began playing the same tune on the guitar and singing along. (5/5) The last song that played filled Cherry with a sense of calm the likes of which could only be felt with this song. It was so serene and beautiful that it reminded her of nature. There was so much beauty within it, and nature itself was so divine. It was like something that could never be touched. She listened to the song all the way through, and once it was over, she played the final song of the stage on her guitar. As always, she sung her heart out.

Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 Now that she had learned the first stage, she felt more powerful. With a smile on her face, Cherry grabbed everything and headed back out to where a few of the students were. She decided to practice her skills on them since they were just sitting and talking. (ranna 1/2) She remembered the passage in the book. Gripping her guitar, Cherry began strumming the lowest cord. She tried putting her Ki into it to make the attack work, but unfortunately, nothing happened. But she would not be discouraged. She just had to try again. (Ranna 2/2) Cherry stood there, still strumming the guitar. The woman worked hard, putting her ki into it. This time, she began smelling something foul from a student not too far away. She stopped playing and listened to the young man's friends as they scolded him. "Dude! You just s**t your pants! What the hell?" "I-I...I don't know what happened!" "Well don't just stand there! Go clean yourself off, you reek man!" The young man rushed off to the bathroom. Cherry swung her hand around her nose to clear the air of the foul odor and decided her attack had worked. (ranna learned) (Sonet 1/4) Cherry thought for a moment and tried to figure out which song to play for her next attack. She finally came up with one and began strumming the guitar. Her fingers plucking at the strings as she began singing the lyrics to a song called Mask. "Oh my darling, I love you And the kid who just stands tonight." (Sonet 2/4) Her fingers continued plucking at the strings. As she did, she noticed a few people starting to go into a trance like state. She kept it up and continued to sing the lyrics. "Mystery--mashou wo utsusu purachina no tsuki akari kasukani hohoemu kuchibiru azayakani someta mitsumeteite sorasanaide anata no sono shisende, fuuin wa tokareru..." (Sonet 3/4) The woman began tapping her foot to the beat as the song continued. She kept putting her ki into the song and focused hard on it. As a result, more and more people seemed to be lulled into a trance. But it was a happy trance. One that made them smile and laugh. "Shy na Venus kamen sutete yasashikute zankokuna sugao wo misetai no anata dake ni ageru secret I want to kiss you, surrender to your heart nigebashou no nai yajuu ai no meiro no naka de ikitaeru made" (Sonet 4/4) "Sadistic--jounetsu no muchi de odorasete ageru maru de haritsumeraretai to ayatsuru youni Tokimete koe de sakebu "I love you" kono mune ni kizamikomu, kienai akashi wo..." As she kept playing Cherry looked up to see that nearly all the people around where in the trance. She smiled and decided to finish up the song for them before she released them from said trance. "Zurui Venus kamen sutete yasashikute zankokuna sugao wo miseru no wa daremo shiranai toki no carnival I want to hold you, surrender in my heart ai ni oboreta yajuu yume ni kokochi no mama ne ikitaeru made Oh my darling, I love you And the kid who just stands tonight Oh my darling, I love you And the kid who just stands tonight" With the last strum of the cords, the trance was broken and everyone was looking around, wondering what had happened while Cherry just smiled. Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 "Alright, lets see now..." Cherry picked up the book again and read over the skills that remained for the first stage of the Devil's Rhapsody. "Sound burst hmn? Alright." (Sound Burst 1/4) Cherry put her guitar away and took a deep breath. The woman started out by focusing on her ki and putting it in her hand. She then swung at the air, but there was nothing that came forth. Nothing happened. She pulled her hand back and looked at it with a little bit of curiosity before she decided to try again. (sound Burst 2/4) Cherry decided to try once more. She stood there and stared at her hand, building more Ki up into it so that the next time she tried, she would be able to achieve this skill. As she built it up, she noticed her hand starting to glow pink in color. It was strange to say the least, but hey, when in rome right? (Sound Burst 3/4) Cherry decided to try it once more. She felt as if her Ki had been built up enough and punched outwards, releasing it. There was a small sound that came from it, but nothing that could really do any sort of damage. Hell, she wouldn't have been able to pick up the sound if not for her good hearing. (Sound burst 4/4) Cherry tried once more. She focused the Ki into her hand and was determined to get it right this time. The woman took in a deep breath and punched at the air. As she released her Ki, she heard a sound that made her feel a little dizzy. It passed quickly enough and didn't seem to cause any sort of internal damage, but she had felt dizzy for a few seconds. And that could come in handy in battle. (Sound burst learned) (Sound Slicing 1/4) Cherry decided it was time for another skill. She remembered reading this one in the book and now it was time to try it. The woman took a deep breath and began focusing on her Ki. She pushed it down to the side of her hand and drew it back. The woman made a slicing motion at the wall and stared on as nothing happened. (Sound Slicing 2/4) There was nothing on the wall, but Cherry looked to her hand and began flexing it. Perhaps it hadn't been straight enough when she had done the attack. So she decided to try again. The woman once more applied some Ki to the edge of her hand and drew it back. She made a slicing motion again. This time, she saw a slight mark on the wall. Nothing much, but perhaps she could do better. (Sound Slicing 3/4) Cherry decided to try once more. The woman took a deep breath and made her hand flat once more. She placed the Ki on the edge of her hand and rose it back. The woman focused on her target and swiped at the air once more. As she did, she ended up hitting the spot right above the last mark. It sliced into the wall slightly again. (Sound Slicing 4/4) "I don't think this attack will be able to do much as of right now..." Cherry looked to her hand once more and decided to try one more time. She applied the ki to the edge of her hand and pulled it back. Making sure her hand was flat, the woman chopped at the air again. There was another sliver that ended up on the wall. "I suppose right now, this is as much damage as it will do." (Sound slicing complete) (Muffle sound 1/4) Cherry decided that at this time, it might be best if she actually tried to keep herself from becoming a victim of sounds. She was sure there were others with the Devil's Rhapsody, and the last thing she wanted was to end up loosing in a battle against them. After all, she had been an Idol! She had a great deal of pride! (Muffle 2/4) Cherry looked up and around her. She began focusing on the ki in her body. Pretty soon her body was glowing pink. She began waving her hands around in the air, making them dance to the unseen eye. What she was actually doing was blocking out certain sounds. (Muffle 3/4) Cherry was able to drown out the sound of the other students that were working hard in their own training. She continued waving her hands and pretty soon, figured out that she could muffle the sounds any way she liked. She decided this was fun, so she began toying with it. (Muffle 4/4) It wasn't long before Cherry had mastered this move as well. Though she really didn't want to stop training. It was fun to drown sounds out and only let in that which she wanted to hear. This skill would become very useful in combat, and she knew that. (Muffle sound learned)

Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 (Step lightly 1/4) Cherry decided quickly on the next skill she would learn. The woman took a deep breath and began. She focused on the ki and put a whole bunch into her feet. Soo much so that they began glowing a bright pink color. Picking up ipod, the woman put on a song that would inspire her to move about. (Step lightly 2/4) Concentrating hard, the woman began moving across the ground. Each step was delicate and graceful, and yet as she stepped, she noticed fissures coming from her feet. They had no particular direction, which was something she would need to correct. (Step lightly 3/4) She spun around, her hair whipping about in a lovely motion. She then set her foot down and tried to direct the fissure to her target. It worked, but only until it got halfway. Then it spiked off and went in another direction. It was no matter though. Cherry wouldn't let that keep her down. (Step lightly 4/4) The woman took a deep breath and continued dancing about the floor. The way she moved was like fire, unpredictable, and yet enticing and alluring to watch. She stepped a few more times and worked hard to make the fissures go where she wanted. And this time, she got her wish. When the song ended, Cherry sighed and wiped her brow. That had been a nice little work out. (Balance Destruction 1/6) Cherry headed back over to her guitar and picked it up. She strummed a few cords and tried to amplify it with her ki. Unfortunately, it wasn't working as well as she had hoped. The woman sighed lightly and decided to try once more. (Balance Destruction 2/6) She continued to play around with her guitar. She had to find the perfect cord, the perfect sound. It had to been a sudden burst, but nothing was coming to mind. Her fingers picked and prodded at the strings as if she were a thief trying to unlock a chest that held some great treasure. (Balance Destruction 3/6) It didn't look like it was going too well for Cherry. Not with this one. She seemed to be stuck, having a hard time trying to figure out which cord would be best. The woman grumbled lightly but was not about to let this skill get the better of her. (Balance destruction 4/6) As she continued to play, she hardly even realized the tune that was coming forth from her guitar. Other students did though, and they seemed to stop and watch her play. Cherry was completely focused on finding that cord, finding the one that would help her with this skill. (Balance Destruction 5/6) Still there was nothing coming forth. No sudden burst. She continued playing on the guitar though. She would find it, she would find it and she would master this skill. The woman grumbled lightly and continued looking for it. She was so close that she could see it. Without even noticing, she was putting Ki into the guitar, into the song, and it was almost ready to burst. (Balance Destruction 6/6) She finally found the cord, and smiled as she struck it. As she did, a large sound wave came from the guitar and spread out across the room. When she finished the song and looked up, the woman noticed everyone stumbling around as if they were drunk. She laughed lightly and put her hand behind her head. Of course, the other students weren't amused. They started stumbling towards her. Taking this as her cue, Cherry turned, grabbed her stuff, and rushed out. She needed to give the book back to the library anyway and get another one. (Song here, Balance destruction cord at 1:23 ) (exit)

Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 Cherry walked back inside and set everything down. The woman opened up the book and began reading from it. Again, it didn't take her long to read the book. Once she was finished, she shut the door and decided to try this out for herself. It may have seemed foolish to pick up this style right off the bat, but she was confident in her abilities. (Dim Mak Stage 1 post 1/5) Cherry sat down on the ground and crossed her legs. She started off by looking at all the students that were in the room. The woman was trying to see their chi/ki. It wasn't working though. She decided to continue concentrating. (2/5) She couldn't seem to find the chi/ki points in other students. So she decided to focus on her own points. Perhaps then she could find out how to do this correctly. Cherry looked down and tried to focus on her hands. She began to concentrate hard, meditating on these points if you will. Slowly but surely, Cherry could see the points popping up. (3/5) Her eyes widened slightly as she began concentrating on the other hand. Again, it took a while for her to see the points, but slowly they began to pop up. She was amazed at how much she was learning in such a short amount of time. (4/5) Standing up, Cherry began to examine the rest of her body. She continued to concentrate, but now it seemed harder. As if her mind were being blocked. She took a few deep breaths and continued to concentrate. Soon, she saw more points popping up in her body. (5/5) She seemed to view all the points in her own body. As much as she could see anyway. So she looked up to the other students now and focused. Through focusing, she was able to see the points popping up in the other students bodies. It was absolutely amazing. The woman looked around with wide eyes, as if she had just seen a fantastic magic show. This was going to be a fun style to learn. (Dim Mak stage 1 learned) (Chi sense 1/4) Cherry decided that now would be the best time to try and see if she could learn the Chi sense technique. Surely it would come in handy. Especially if she ever ran into that woman again. She still didn't know what she had done wrong. She only wanted to start a nice conversation and make a friend. But if that woman wanted to be lonely, that was her deal. Even so, Cherry just started feeling sorry for her. It must have been a very lonely existance. (2/4) Cherry took a deep breath and began focusing on the other students in the room. She focused on just one of them, a young man in the back. She wanted to see if she could sense his chi. It was easier said then done. She just had to remember how she focusing on her own chi. That would make it easier right? (3/4) The woman looked to the young man, who seemed to be getting slightly irritated at being stared at. Even so, she wouldn't let him out of her line of sight. She started seeing his chi starting to pop up. It was slow at first, but started becoming stronger the longer she concentrated. (4/4) She stood there staring for about a good half hour. By the end of it, she was able to see the chi that came from the young man. Once she was done, the woman let out a sigh of relief and decided to work on the next skill. (Chi sense learned) (Chi block 1/4) The woman would have to start blocking her own chi now. It would have to work in order to keep herself hidden from other Dim Mak users. She wasn't sure if there were any, but she had to try. Taking a deep breath she started concentrating. It was just too bad she wouldn't be able to tell if this was working or not. (2/4) Cherry continued to concentrate, trying to keep her chi from being seen by other Dim Mak users. All she could do right now was concentrate. And she continued working hard to block her chi. (3/4) Cherry felt as if it was actually starting to work, but that remained to be seen. She continued to concentrate, doing her best to hide her chi from others that might be looking in. She doubted that anyone actually was, but you never knew. (4/4) Cherry continued concentrating. She felt as if she had finally achieved this skill, but only some time in battle would let her know for sure. Of course, now she was done with training. The woman looked around and wondered what she should do now. Cherry walked over to the bleachers and just sat down on it. She pulled out her guitar and began strumming the strings. It was all she could think to do. She needed a nice song to keep her going. It was all she could do at the moment. Perhaps she could try again later to make a friend.

- Training Mode Initiated- - Training Bonus Active- A training dummy's head was cut clean through as Matt's elbow smashed into it, a jet of flame spouting from the sharp point of his joint. Shifting from the target he'd just smashed apart, he rammed his right elbow into another dummy's chest, burning a hole clean through it. A third dummy grabbed Matt from behind, only to be met with an elbow jammed back into his right side. (Three Posts Remaining) It wasn't long before Matt rushed backward, ramming the doll that still managed to hang on into two others that came up, sending all three scattering. He leapt upward, ramming his boots into the doll that he'd knocked down in the process, sending a ring of flame outward. Toasted dummy. (Two Posts Remaining) He looked behind him to see five more, ready for the hunt. With a grin, he stepped off the dolls and popped his knuckles. "Holy s**t... I love this place." Without another warning, he rushed toward the closest dummy and rammed the point of his left elbow into its chest, turning it into splinters. (One Post Remaining) Matt launched toward the next dummy he saw, blasting it with his right knee. Another target decimated via fire. He swung his right leg outward, the flame spouting out from the back of his ankle aiding to take the heads off of the last three targets. A computerized voice echoed around the room. All targets neutralized. Training regimen completed.Matt cracked his neck, walking away from the smouldering wreckage he left in his wake. "End simulation. Increase difficulty of targets next time." New Technique!

Fenrir returned to the training room soon later, as he'd promised, and found Cherry on the bleachers. Again this girl was strumming at her guitar. Was there some reason for practicing so much, or he just always catch her in these kinds of moods. "Heh, I offered to teach you something but by now you've probably already learned all you need. Sorry about that." His voice faded with the apology as Fenrir sat himself near her.

Cherry Lovette the Alluring Siren - Devil's Rhapsody - Level 1 Cherry heard him talking and looked around. She finally spotted Fenrir sitting close. "Oh, it's alright. I don't want to be any trouble to you." She continued strumming the guitar. "I just decided to come back here because I didn't want to just sit in my dorm. Things don't seem to be going so well. I tried to make a friend but the girl I tried talking to was very rude. She said that I was just hiding something. I know it shouldn't bother me but I don't understand why someone would be so mean when you're just trying to be nice." She shrugged her shoulders a little bit. "I'd like to make some friends. I haven't had any friends for the past eight years. I need people that I can talk to, people that I can rely on. You don't seem like the type of person who needs people around to feel okay. I think I'm going to start envying you for that. How do you do it?" She turned and looked to Fenrir. "Maybe you can still help me out though. It's been about two years since I've had to fight. I fear I might be a little rusty. Care to spare with me? Perhaps you could give me a few pointers. Perhaps after that, you could tell me how I gain levels in this place. I must reach level five. Then I'll be one step closer to making sure my mother is freed!" Cherry stood up with a determined look on her face. It didn't stay there for long though. She looked back down at him. "Eh heh, sorry. I don't think you'd really care why I need to work so hard. I'm sure everyone here has their sob stories."

Fenrir listened to Cherry and then stood up. "I live for myself." He simply answered to her question of how he could be such a loner. Then the wolfish young man climbed the few other stairs until he was on the same level as the girl, and broke down into his fighting stance. "Lets just fight. Give me your best shot." His eyes sharpened as he focused on his opponent, and Fenrir's wild black hair seemed almost to stand on end once he cracked a fanged grin. Sob stories were never really his thing, but if this girl had any talent in battle then perhaps it'd be worth listening to.

Fenrir then reached over his shoulder to unsheathe his bat but was surprised to find it missing. He must've left it back at the room. "Heh, wait a minute. I gotta go back for something." Fenrir turns and runs out of the training room.

Fenrir walked back into the training room carrying a wooden bat in his hand. Apparently this was what was so important that he had to leave. Was that really it? "You ready to get this thing started?" Fenrir asked as he approached the cheerful musician. "Its not a problem if you want to back out now..."
