What. Oh damn. No. No no no no no. Riley was approaching the scareoke machine and she was picking up a mic she didn't need and she was preparing to sing... a slow song. Jack dammit.
Still slightly unsure as to whether or not the illithid could actually melt brains, West thought it best that he and Holly do what she had asked after all. Carrying out this travesty in front of her was, perhaps, even better.
As Riley launched into her song, West rolled his eyes and took the fox's hand. "C'mon then."

Chuppi didn't even let Tybalt finish his thoughts, if he was going to say anything more really, as she lunged forward and wrapped her arms about his waist in a tight hug. She was careful not to actually crush him considering what she'd already done to him for the night but her affection in the motion was genuine and shown well. A few tears (she wasn't done crying apparently) started to run down her cheeks as she just stayed in the hug, so relieved that he was still talking to her and still smiling.
Of course she'd be this relieved if it had been any of her other friends as well, but because she was the one to cause direct injury when they were supposed to be having fun together was what made Chuppi all that much sadder. He was showing concern about the dance, and apologizing for ruining it, but hadn't it all been her fault anyway? It was taking all the monster had to say anything at all, to assure her friend that it was okay and it was her fault and she was glad he wasn't hurt. Instead, all she could say. . .

She knew that fast song wouldn't have cut it anyway. Why did she even try at that game? At least she had to dance with West. Wait, was that better or worse then dancing with someone you didn't know?
They weren't going to have to get to close were they? Ugh and she was in this dress. Awesome. "Alright, I just hope this song isn't to long." Why was he going along with it anyway, it was her dare but then again he wasn't probably slightly afraid to cross Riley as well. Holly followed him to the dance area. "Let's just get this over with but I swear if you touch anywhere that isn't part of slow dancing..."

"It's the most fluffy!" His continuing compliments to the thing made Princess Cinders emit a little growl. The boafox watched the Cerberus' ear very carefully, as if he were planning the perfect time to snap at it. His tiny teeth missed, however, when Thackery's ears went back in surprise; he hadn't expected another kiss. Clearly it had everything to do with the amazing, sensual powers of his ensemble.
Squeezing Ash's hand, he leaned against him, swaying with the music. He hoped that it might ease the Reaper into dancing, but his tiny form pushing against the much larger boy was akin to a mouse trying to shove a wall over. Not happening.
"Maybe we should...retire to your quarters," he suggested. It was fairly obvious that he'd been saving that last bit for a while. "You can put your helmet back on too, if you wanna, but I kind of like seeing you!" He tried to reach up and touch his nose for emphasis, but his fingertips didn't quite make it. Whoops, that was embarrassing. As nonchalantly as possible, he shifted closer and extended his reach for a flawless face-poke-of-adoration.

He had opened his mouth again to say something when suddenly Morrigan was... growing a lot smaller and... the bench was getting smaller too and ... Calder was dragging him away- he gave a strangled yelp, brows knitting as he tried to reach after her, but it seemed the Kelpie was feeling either exceptionally needy, or exceptionally bi-polar that evening. "W-w-where are we going?" He finally managed, "I... The wath... Woo-we were-" He managed lamely as he was dragged back into the dance just as that dragon-boil finished his song. Why was Jericho singing? He had never really struck him as the performing type, although in retrospect it did not surprise him. He saw him show boating in the air once or twice for his Mistress.

"Dun worry 'bout that," he muttered, with perhaps more vehemence than he actually felt. Holly wasn't all that bad, as far as ghouls went, but on an average day she wasn't wearing a dress and there were no creepy forty-voice mindflayer songs vibrating through his mind.
Once they were firmly in dance floor territory, West reached out and placed his hands gingerly on parts of Holly that were completely slow dance appropriate.
"Let's do this."

"Dancing sounds phenomenal..." That and they could do their best to attempt to...yeah, ignore some of the scareoke, because inevitably, someone would horrifically botch a song or three, and not realize that their belting made ears want to cry. Taking a slow breath in, he drew her near, beginning a rather slow turn...and admittedly as Riley started her song, Sharra found it perfect for the mood of the dance that he wished to engage in with the lovely lady in his arms. He didn't think there was a boil in the room who could truly blame him for being unable to wrench his eyes from her.
...and then she went and mentioned his aunts. Wincing visibly, the blond youth shook his head. "They didn't harass you, did they?" She didn't seem upset about it, which was good, but this was Yaya, and sometimes she could be quite placid about the oddest things. However, the nergal had wished for an easy introduction to his family...but it was just like his relatives to take things into their own hands. Ah well, best the marid know what she was getting into.

Snapping out of her train of thought, she took a quick look over at the scareaoke machine before returning her gaze to Bul. "You sing?" She asked with a half grin, now curious. She knew he had a fondness for music when he had mentioned before, how stoked he was for music class on groanspring a while back. But she didn't know what musical talents he possessed.
Taking note of Natalia spotting her, she gave the ghoul a small smile and wave, just to let her know she saw her. It was then she also spotted the drunken boil and ghoul Bul had eyed. They better pray that Hellma doesn't pick up the cent of cider and catch them in their drunken state! It would be the princess corner for both of them.
Hearing his question over the booming music and student chatter, she now found him a little more lowered to her height. It could be fun, right? How hard could dancing be? Yeahh.. "As long as you don't mind a bad dance partner, then sure."

It was with great regret he came in in time for Riley to create her mind network and get him involved. UGH! The noise, and worse of all, it was in stereo-layered-surround-sound in his head! It was times like this he wanted to reach for the nearest sharp utensil and stab it through his ear. Luckily, he was out of reach of such things and suffered through it. It wasn't even an upbeat song. Long, dreary, and SO not Scarentine romantic or even dance fun. People needed to have fun here as it was a party, and he wondered if it was all because these people weren't monsters. Most of their kind were loud, expressive, and just let their wild natures come out and tear the place apart. They had FUN!
Everyone else was shy, hesitant, or just bringing down the mood. Well, then no one would mind if he and Christof came in and had a go. It wasn't like it could get any worse, right?
He waited for Riley to be done and, just out of decorum, gave her a few slaps of his hands as a way of applause. Well, at least she sang. That at least gave her a small point from her usual prudish, huffy behavior. She got a small half point in not being a bore.

Shine stared at the smaller boxes with wide eyes. She could pick one for herself!? She studied them all very carefully before picking one up very gently, worried that she might ruin her lovely gift. A little giggle of wonder came from the zombie girl as she watched the little ghosts that flew around the box Rain held. How neat!
"Thank you, Rain." Though she hugged the box close, she also wanted to go hug her friend...sadly, her undead brain couldn't quite figure out how to make that work. It failed her once more when Riley took the stage, her song resonating in a way that Shine had never really heard before. Though stunning, it was entirely beyond her comprehension, causing her to jump with a start. Her new box almost fell from her grip, and her little satchel of candies tumbled to the ground as she favored saving the gift.
With a soft cry, she knelt to pick them up, horrified that all of her precious candies were scattered all over the floor. Maybe she could put them in the box instead...

Candies are everywhere. Aside from their absence upsetting a Witch - which is a terrible idea - they will attract bugs and everyone who has been to Cricket's classroom knows how weird that can get. If you happen to see a candy, pick one up! Shine has five scarentine's candies lying around that she would give to the first five people who can bring her an intact candy.
Roll 1 d10. If you get 1-5, something terrible happens to the candy and you fail miserably. I'm not sure how you'll ever sleep at night. If you roll 6-10, you can reunite Shine with her sugary goodness.

Still Calder hadn't answered his question, and Christof was getting annoyed, ready to tear his hand away and run back to that bench- but then the voices flowed into his mind and he wobbled in place, slowly glancing around before spotting that the dragon boil had passed the mike off to... his Mistress.
The voices unfolded in his mind, flooding him with odd emotions and confusing thoughts that were even muted under the flow of music. By the looks of things, it was being projected to the entire room, not just him... he slumped lower, brows furrowing as guilt bubbled up from ever sad, somber verse- she made no eye contact with him, but there was pain and frustration written over every note- she was still mad at him. Still furious and hurt and he had betrayed her and he was a terrible minion and here he stood, dressed like an idiot with his mouth hanging open wasting his time with the pretty ghoul waiting for him on the bench but he should have been at her side, tending to her every need...

There was an immediate lip curl reaction from the girl when Samantha's voice rang over the mic, but Yaya hid her face against the nergal's neck, focusing on the feel of his pulse and the almost intoxicating scent of whatever cologne he was wearing. She much preferred Riley's choice and song, and the mindflay was actually doing a really wonderful job of it, accounting for the extra layers of her voice that eased through her mind. It was pretty, and fitting, and the djinn found herself relaxing once against against Sharra's chest as they slowly turned about the dance floor.
The wince that flashed across his handsome features made her grin, perhaps a little cruelly. "They did not," she assured him, brushing fingertips along the nape of his neck. "They were very polite and cordial, and it's very clear how much they care for you." She paused, watching his face for a moment longer before resting her head against his shoulder. "They wanted to know what my intentions are where you're concerned." Which was why she hadn't brought it up before. Frankly she wanted to be sure of his feelings for her before laying so very much on the table as proclaiming something very close to love for the boil to his aunts.

She had left Arachne after the hug, promising the Demoness to keep in contact with her. On her way back to the table, she stopped by to hear some students sing, swaying in tune in to the music and clapping for Sammy (she recognized her from BotB) and was about to walk away when Jericho stepped up to the stage.
Jericho. Stepping up. To. The. Stage. To sing.
At the start of the song, there was just a lot of staring - mainly due to shock. After the dance, she had thought that he's not the sort to do anything which might make him (accidentally or otherwise) make a fool of himself. However, after the initial OH GOSH HE IS REALLY GOING TO DO IT, Lizzy found herself wondering if perhaps, he's the type to grab a comb, stand in front of a mirror, and sing and dance like a star - he probably does it in the shower too, if fire dragons even take showers.
By the end of the song, she was too amused and giggly from her overactive imagination to not give the performance a round of applause. With Riley's rather haunting song playing in her mind, she returned to her seat, where Jericho was already waiting with two plates of food.
"Sorry for the wait!" She dipped her head, sliding into a chair beside his as she took out her skelephone from her handbag, glad that its contents had been left untouched. Starting on a text, she looked up mid-way, a grin on her face, "Sooooo... You sing too?"
As she finished her sentence, she pressed 'send' on her skelephone with a text for Amrita.
'AMRITA! Where are you? <3 DID YOU HEAR JERICHO SING? He's not half bad... Now I wish I brought my guitar so Tess and I can perform like we did in BotB! If you are Charlie don't mind, come join us~ We're at the back of the cafeteria!'

Arachne had nodded when Elizabeth had walked away; she needed a little air anyway, and after putting her glass down on one of the tables that hadn't gotten knocked by the antics of the two that had recently entered she started crossing the cafeteria.
On her way she encountered the ghoul who seemed particularly clumsy, dropping candy all over the floor. One hit her foot and she kicked at it, sending it skidding across the floor to who knew where before walking off.
