"There are... many jobs. I'll see if I can find you a report with what we've found so far. They are... set - but it's not like a caste, for the reason that they seem to all be... equal? They do tend to stick to one job and will not change, although they may acquire a few extra abilities within the range of their job and the ones similar to it. Like I said, a report might detail it better."
Alyosha looked at Sy, wondering why she was acting slightly odder than usual.

Her mind was sent reeling. She had heard most of the information Alyosha was spurting off about Aerandir, so it wasn't that that had her perplexed, but rather the men. While it was apparent to her, suddenly, that Alyosha had no earthly idea about her behavior, her outburst worried her still. Then there was Orian who kept kissing her hand innocently and begging her to stay.
"You... you mean stay here, to live?! I-I'm sure I'd just be a bother, ask Aly." She jumped to her feet, suddenly, and this time only a little off-balance. "Would either of you like a drink?"

Orian quickly moved out of the way to let Sy up, looking perplexed. "Alchoholic, or normal beverage? If you have any Whiskey, I'll gladely take that, or if its something normal, just some cold water."
Looking back to Aly, he thought over the information he had been given. "I would appreciate that greatly. Hrrrm. How do you decide on the guardians for the Aerandir? I assume you are rather picky in who you choose."

"Er..." he started as Sy jumped up. "Well.. perhaps some apple juice if you're going..." He didn't answer the other question, being as he wasn't sure whether she was using this as an excuse not to stay or.. .something. Anyway, he'd maybe talk to her about it when he could speak to her on his own.
He looked around to Orian. "Well, it's all based on willingness really. We do a small check beforehand, to make sure they're up to the task, but wanting to is foremost. "

Quickly rushing to the kitchen she busied herself with getting out three glasses, one for each of them. For Aly she got a glass of apple juice, and one of water for Orian, and for herself she got milk. >_o Damn catlike urges. After she poured the drinks she took the opportunity alone to carefully gain her composure before walking into the other room.
"No alcohol." She handed Orian his drink, and then handed one to Aly, but she was quick to draw her hand away quickly less it brush against his. Oh, she would not fall prey to this obviously cool and collected man. She'd show him!
"But all the current Aerandir have homes, right?"

Accepting the glass, Orian took a sip of water, smiling up at Sy. "Thank you M'lady." He kept sipping at the glass noiselessly, until it was all gone. "Well, if the list to become a guardian ever opens up again, you can add me to the willing list. As for the background check, well, i guess i'll just have to work my a** off here to show you what sort of person i am, huh? But for now, I think i'm going to go explore this island a little more. You two have a good time!" With that, he stood, kissing Sy's hand, and giving a small bow to Aly before walking out the door, humming a little tune, hands behind his back.

Alyosha took his drink and nodded a little as Sy mentioned the current numbers of Aerandir. "We have somewhat of a number of other artifacts, though. It's just arranging suitable owners and times to take in new owners, it takes some time and work"
He blinked, slightly, as Orian left at speed. Well, he had Sy to himself for the moment it seemed. He could ask her now, he guessed.
"Erm.. what you said earlier about staying..." he started.

@__@ Another hand kiss. This man must be a noble, she thought, to have such manners as he did... and what did he mean when he wandered off and encouraged them to have a good time? He probably did this on purpose! Oh, that man acted innocent, but he certainly knew how to manipulate this situation.
Damn him for being so nice.
Maybe if she was really quiet, he could ramble and she wouldn't have to say or admit to anything... and then... it would all be okay. Yes, yes, she would sit here quietly... or, if things got too complicated, change the topic back to Aerandir.

He sat pondering for a moment, watching her squirm and wondering if he really made her feel that uncomfortable. He looked up to the ceiling. "I really have no problems with you staying, if that's what you wish..." he stopped. He always seemed to be unsure of what to say around her, with others it was usually rather easy. Either he had a sort-of working relationship with them or.. something. She wasn't like most of the girls he'd known in his life, bar, maybe, his older cousins from way back but.. not in this day and age.

"But I'm not a guardian and I've only caused you trouble," she points out, and stands, fidgeting. Not that she was really saying much to him because of course he took this into account when he told her she could stay, but idea seemed bizarre because on this island she'd certainly be out of place. What was he trying to say?
Her embarassment was melting into frustration at all the mixed symbols... of course, the lack of embarassment was also slightly due to the fact she wouldn't him the face. Oh yes, she was learning how to keep her composure.
"Besides, what would I do and where would I stay? I'd be gone most of the day for work..." she paused again. Was she really taking this seriously? Indeed, where would she stay, his room? She blushed again, cleared her throat, and stared at her feet.

Alyosha slipped up onto the seat beside her, wrapping an arm about her shoulder, much like he had used to do to one of his younger siblings so long ago. "Look, Sy, if you wish to stay thats your choice. You seem to get on well with people here and you've.. well.. pretty much become one of the group, if you know what I mean. I like your company even if things did get off to a rocky start."
He pondered for a moment. "You could stay in one of the spare rooms until something more .. permanent could be arranged.. or even in my apartments. Not like you haven't been there before. And there's more space now too."

As soon as his arm slipped around her shoulder she had a hard time paying attention to his words, although she definately stopped fidgeting. She even almost stopped breathing. Like her company? She could MOVE INTO HIS APARTMENTS!?! What in the world... remember to breathe, Sy. He seemed sincere enough, so he was either completely oblivious or in that creepy brotherly mode. Either way made her a bit nervous. And made her blush, but that was a given.
She just had a darker shade of red on her face when he was there with his arm around her. What if someone walked in saw them and got the wrong idea?! No, no, don't panic!
Topic change time, yes, yes, to something much more safe. "By permanant, you mean like me adopting an Aerandir?"

"Maybe eventually" he smiled a little "if you feel you have the time." He got to his feet slowly, fingers brushing her cheeks as they passed. "Well, I have to be going, must do something with my afternoon" he grinned, heading off to his apartments. "Let me know what you wish, I won't be out anytime soon"

>_< That man! He definately knew and was torturing her... well, she wouldn't fall for it. If he thought he could play her, he was totally wrong. >> But then again, being here among three rather attractive man and some friendly women, all who were around her age, seemed a little bit more agreeable than going back to living with just her son in the middle of nowhere.
But alas, the guest bedrooms didn't have an oven or refridgerator. Hmmm... this would require some thought. Until she figured everything out she decided that she better run into work and profusely apologize to Tryon for falling asleep for so long.
And with that she was gone.

Timidly, Anakiro pushed open the door of what, he could only assume was the community centre. He hoisted his small bag on his shoulder a little more securely, in his hand a letter. He wasn't sure what it contained, but was told the recipient would be somewhere in this building.
Forcing his ears upright with a deep breath, the blonde finally entered the building, as opposed to standing in the doorway. Then, a little confused, he stopped in the middle of the large room. This was as far as directions had been given from the boat.
"Hello?!" he called, glancing around quietly.
