Alec smiled, shaking his head. "Nah...I don't need help..." He stepped out from behind her, standing in front of her. Alec gazed down at her pile of books. "You...like to read...?" He asked, glancing back at her.

Echo blushed looking at her pile of books on the table. The thought of them made her head swirl with fantasies and ideas, and soon enough she was beaming, a big grin on her face. She looked back at the boy, "Yes. I absolutely love to read! It's my passion." she closed her eyes, watching all the stories fly through her subconscious, and she began adding music to each one. Opening her eyes seconds later, she added, "music is another passion of mine." Echo sighed happily, "I don't know what I would do without them in my life."

Alec smiled, plopping down in the couch next to her. "Music's...cool." He said, laughing softly at his choice of words. How stupid... "What's your name, love?" He asked slowly, scanning the girl. How lovely! She liked to read...and loved music...

Echo laughed a little with him, not really knowing why, probably because she was nervous, but all that did was embarrass her for laughing at nothing. "I'm Echo Shayde." she replied blushing. She bit her tongue so she didn't start to ramble, "What's yours?" Echo nervously brushed a lock of hair behind her ear, only to have it fall back into her face. He probably thinks I'm an idiot.

Alec smiled at her laugh. It was like...chimes. "I'm Alec Scott...." He said, grinning slightly. Alec watched as a lock of hair fell into her face yet again, wanting oh so very much to brush it back. However, that would be strange, as they just met. "So...what are you?"

Echo looked a little surprised, for she had never been asked what she was. "I-I'm just your boring, everyday, normal human being with no special powers and nothing very interesting about her." she laughed, attempting to brush her hair behind her ear nervously again. "How about you?"

Alec smiled. Humans were by far, interesting. "Humans aren't boring..." He laughed with her. "They're probably the supior race anyways." He smiled, pausig at her question. After a moment of thinking, Alec shrugged. "I don't know." He admitted, glancing away. "So, Echo..."

Echo was twirling her hair in her fingers now. He doesn't know what he is? Alec seemed to had started asking a question, so she encouraged him to continue, "Yes?"
