Prince laughed at Dekel, when he realized there was other pups. "Yes, Dekel, new pups and they're younger than you." The older wolf sat on his haunches. "I don't know who they are, I'm guessing they arrived right as we left." Prince stood and appraoched Fairyn, Andragos, and the new pups, his tail wagging as he sat beside the older male. "C'mon Dekel." He called as he looked down at the new pups with a friendly smile.

More humor claimed the stoic wolf, causing yet more chuckles to bubble up from his depths at Rebel's reply. A broad tongue flicked A'cuil's nose in his amusement. "Oh, no, of course you don't!" The larger male caught Clio's eye, and winked conspiratorially at the fae. He wasn't sure if she could hear them proper, but even if she couldn't; he'd fill her in later, or she'd pick up on it soon enough.
Still smiling to himself, A'cuil lifted his head as he broke tree cover in Rouqie's wake. His eyes looked upon the camp of wolves with apprehension; there were even more of them than had been when he'd left! And among these, a leader would be chosen... His ears flicked back momentarily, the male left deep in thought.

As the new colorful wolf came up with the smaller purple one, Lilliana ducked behind Fairyn again. She was trembling underneath the gray female and trying to be unnoticable, or close to it. Although Prince's tail was wagging she wasn't to sure he was completely friendly. Just as she wasn't sure that Andragos completely was. Peeking out from her safe place she looked at the smaller purple pup, "Hi?" She managed to squeak out.

Dekel hopped after him, interested at the idea of meeting not just new pups, but pups who were younger than him. It wasn't something that he had encountered before. Usually, everyone else was bigger than him. So, he barked back excitedly, "Coming!"
Tail wagging madly behind, the pup skipped up to the beside Prince to face the other wolves. He paused for a second, noticing how one of the pups hid away from him and Prince. He was confused at first, before he heard her peep out a greeting, and it dawned on him that she was probably shy.
That in mind, he smiled and yapped a greeting as well. "Hi'ya! I'm Dekel. Who're you?"

Marie looked up at Prince and smiled. "Your brightness makes me want to smile." she announced pleasantly in her soft voice. She looked at Dekel and grinned, "Yours too." then she went to Kora's side and sat down beside her. "You're really pretty, I've never seen markings like that." she said, staring at the flowers in appreciation.
Faiyrn smiled at Andragos and then at Prince and Dekel. She felt the small trembling form near her tummy and she lowered her head to look down at the pup. "It's okay. Prince is just a pup compared to me and Andragos, and Dekel is a real sweet heart." this was the sort of thing she loved, caring for the young. It made her feel accomplished and gave her a fuller feeling in life.

Tiki sat and watched the new pups arrive, and how they all flocked over to Faiyn, just like almost any other wolf seemed to. The female looked around, nothing... She curled up under an oak tree near the edge of the clearing to nap, since there wasnt much else to do. She layeed her head on her black paws and closed her eyes, listening to the gentle swishing of the leaves above her, and the soft voices of the other wolves around her.

Kora smiled at Lilliana. "Then you should speak to A'cuil when he turns up. He's a great teacher, if you have to will to learn from him." she said before the pup darted back under Faiyrn when she saw Prince and Dekel. Mentally she sighed, knowing it would take time for her to get used to everyone.
Kora turned to Marie, who she saw was now next to her, suprised. She hadn't really ever paid much attention to her apperance before; she had mainly focused on her training. "Thank you."

Marie saw the large male and stood up slowly. She trotted over to A'cuil and sat, looking up at the large male. "Hello." she said quietly. She sat up on her hind legs, paws tucked up to her chest. "I'm Marie." she introduced herself, finding some interest in the large Sure-Claw.

Prince saw that the pup was uncomfortable with his presence and he nodded to the trembling form under Faiyrn. The adolescence scanned the area and spotted Tiki sitting under an oak, Prince quickly realized she was going to take a nap and stepped back to were he was sitting. He lowered himself to the ground and layed on the cool earth with a sigh. "There is no need to be frightened pup, I will not harm you. I'm Prince." He gave a reassuring smile. "Who may you be?" Prince asked his tail swishing against the twigs and fallen leaves on the ground.

The small pup looked at Prince ears pressed again her head and tail desperately trying to duck under her despite its size. "Lilliana." Came her squeaky voice. "I'm from the Flyer pack..." She said trying to sound more confident. She was a quick runner at her age and could move swiftly around this place. However running through these trees had been fun too, with such a lithe figure she glided almost like wind through them. "I want to be just like the great ones of my old pack." Confidence growing more in her as she walked out from under the cover of Fairyn. However if someone spooked her Fairyn was definitely going to be the one she dove under. Andragos had noticed that the ones who went out into the forest had returned. He wondered if they had news on what would happened with their leaderless pack and what may be done about it. He looked at Tiki as she was falling asleep and grinned at her. At least someone could get some sleep. If he could he would fight from the role to become leader, he could raise this pack couldn't he? Yes he could. "Prince, Kora, Fairyn, Marie, Dekel, and last but not least Lilliana. I'll be taking my leave." And he walked away heading over to the sleepy Tiki. "May I join you here?" He'd watch from there if he could away from all the excitement, although he could head over to Indra again he was sure his brother could handle himself.

Rouqie had not glanced back to see if the others had followed, knowing they needed their time to relive their memories of the past. She set her jaw, and knew that she needed to bring the message of the tournament to all the wolves. Quickly and quietly, in the Haven Pack manner she dashed through the bushes.
With her head held high, she studied each face of the wolves before her, new and old alike. The lavender femme barked loudly to command the attention. Light eyes regarded each wolf and for a moment she wondered what the response to the declaration would be. A deep breath, and then she began.
"You are all aware that this group needs leadership." She said at an even pace. "We cannot be a pack without some sort of structure." Rouqie's ears flicked for a moment, wondering if the Sure-Claws would emerge behind her shortly. "An idea has been proposed. We are to have a tournament where all wolves who would like to try for a position in the pack are welcome to join in. The only requirement is that you must be at least an adolescent." Her eyes fell on the few adolescents in front of her, and then her mind remembered the one that lingered in the forest behind her. The mere thought of those half-lidded eyes made the edge of her mouth twitch into a smile reflexively.
"We must hurry." She stated, returning the strength to her voice. "Before the Darkness can catch us unprepared" The threat of the Darkness always loomed and it was that small fear that lingered in the back of her mind. "The tournament shall be decided by Olek, the only intelligent being aside from a wolf that we know of so far." She said, nodding her head towards the cyan bird flitting about. "The matches will be set in a one-on-one style, a fight until a the point that a wolf can bear no more without dying. However, there will be judging by both Olek and other wolves who are not participating in the tournament. Wolves will be judged on both their strength and their character. Should the losing wolf appear to be a stronger leader still, then they will move on instead."
She inhaled and exhaled deeply to emphasize the fact that she had finished and her eyes peered out quietly. Quickly, she added, "Myself and A'cuil are the first to apply." -two weeks later-
A few weeks had passed since the tournament had first begun. Until the end she had cheered for the Sure-Claws who had gone so far and worked so hard. The brown-white wolf padded into the clearing in which she had first met the other wolves and lay down in the grass quietly. Images flashed in her head. Each battle had been painful to watch. Her old pack had been brave, worked so hard, but even still, a Haven had won. Lips peeled back at the thought. Yet, he had won fairly, apparently, so she tried to refrain from thinking about it. A quiet whine bubbled out as she recalled A'cuil's disappearance. He had slipped into the raging Spirit River and the water carried the beaten brute likely to his death. He was gone. Still, she could not believe it no matter how hard she tried.
There was so much she had to register, the choosing of the Betas was still a question, but the Alpha was the bright adolescent she knew nothing about. The brave violet one had surrendered to Rebel, who in turn surrendered to the bright wolf. She made a mental note to herself to question Rebel about that choice later. Every single fight had been brave, the stamina of each wolf strained and their ability to accept defeat put to the test. She could only pray that the honour of each wolf had been kept.
To her the future was still unsure. Although the scenery had not changed, the atmosphere of the group was certainly different. The chaotic randomness of before was replaced with a sense of peace for the time being. Blue-orange eyes peered around as she wondered for how long it would last.

When the weeks had passed after the tournament Andragos had changed. Time spent with Fairyn in the woods near Lake Lux and becoming closer to the fae had begun to melt his icy demeanor. He now looked at the world in a different way. He still hardly knew the other wolves but he was at least glad that he would get to know them, and on top of that they had a younger wolf to teach them and to guide them. Icarus was going to make a good alpha, after all Haven made good wolves. He looked over at Fairyn who had followed him out of the forest. His wound on his eye was healed nicely and though it was a small scar didn't bother him much. You really couldn't see it unless you tried to look for it or he pointed it out.
Still no sign of A'cuil and that worried him. He hope and prayed that the Sure-Claw was ok, that the river hadn't taken him from them. He could see Icarus, a strong and vigilant leader with the bird next to him. It seemed fate smiled upon that youth. Not only was he the only wolf with a familiar, he was also the leader and had been granted that by whatever spirits were out there.
Turning his head to Fairyn he licked her cheek in a show that she was his as he was hers. He hoped that Kora would accept him as a fatherly figure. It was the small pup he was looking too, the one he had met before Roquie had announced the tournament, Lilliana. Maybe even Marie was around.
But all the while he still wondered if Roquie might hate him. The pain from the thought made him misstep for a moment. She was of his old pack and he felt as if what they had had was now in jeopardy. Andragos prayed that she wouldn't take it to heart, that they had fought for a title each giving their best. She had been watching the other wolves fight and found that they were all confident. How she wanted to be like them. To grow older and have that same confidence to be able to protect. Though Lilliana didn't know Icarus all that well or the bird that seemed to follow him, she felt a warmth grow inside her because she knew that he was a leader. He would protect little ones like her. Andragos and Fairyn had seemed to go off like some others of the wolves and was glad to see them again. Her small tail wagging a mile a minute as she loped over to them. Hopefully they hadn't forgotten her in all the bustle and excitement.

Faiyrn had too noticed A'cuil was not yet back, and it worried her. Pain if the memory of watching him fall pulled at her, when she gave it the chance to. She shook her head and looked at their group. He couldn't be gone... He had to come back, didn't he?
She looked at Dragos and gave him a gentle smile, nuzzling into his neck, ears back and her tail waving contently. He made her happy and she was glad he'd chosen her as she had him. It seemed as if the two of them had known right off the bat, from the first nudge of greeting. She licked his cheek before looking down at Liliana, her eyes following the small pup as she approached.
Faiyrn's tail wagged and she stepped forward to lick the small pup's head, nuzzling her affectionately. She laid down and pulled the pup to her with a paw and began to groom her, giggling softly at the little wagging tail. "Hello again little one." she said kindly, releasing her from her hold after a moment, her own tail wagging as well.
Marie was silent as she sat in the shade, watching and listening to the wolves surrounding her talk and move about. She noticed the big Sure-Claw was missing, and she didn't see the Haven female very often any more.
Their tournament was over and everyone seemed to be settling into a new groove, so to speak.
Marie had not chosen an adult to stay with. She rose in the mornings, caught a pheasant or a rabbit here and there to eat and for the most part to care of herself.
Liliana had been taken in by the Larger, darker male and the Grey and Blue female Faiyrn. Faiyrn would snag her and groom her now and then, and while she didn't mind it, she didn't ask her too either. Normally she tried to keep herself well groomed.
She found that following Prince and Icarus around was amusing sometimes, and often, she learned a thing or two, especially if Prince was teaching Dekel, then she learned something and practiced it later.
As it was, she was incredibly fond of Kora and the other adolescents, but today she wanted to meet someone new. She remembered seeing a brightly colored female with Andragos at some poin, so off and about she went, looking for Tiki.
