"I-could someone come with me?" Aura asked quietly. She was sure that she could find a way to disconnect the cameras from wherever the feed was being sent. She had her gear upstairs, and the key to the study was with Alyssa. It would, theoretically, be an easy matter.

"Don't get yourself killed by trying to deactivate the cameras." the words were out Karin's mouth before she could entirely process them.

"First up to my room, then to Mr. Gilfax's study," Aura said quietly. "I think I can do something about these...wires...Mark was talking about."
The thought that Mark was setting them up for a trap briefly crossed her mind, but she put it aside. It was worth a try, wasn't it?
Karin's warning struck a note of fear, but that too Aura set aside. She had to do something, and anyways, as far as they'd seen, the study wasn't swarming with kidnappers.

Mark laughed for a while. "You're going to deactivate the camera's? You think it'd be that easy? They've been setting this up for years and years, you won't be able to."

"If you guys are going anywhere, I'll come as well," Karin decided, "And Mark, I think we all have an idea of how hard it'll be so don't rub it in okay? Geez, you haven't changed much from the time you were in the Academy." she muttered the last part the last part under her breath. Then another thought crossed her mind, did the metal container inside the dagger have anything in it? She hadn't checked.

Aura nodded but gestured at the other people around the room. "I'm sure Lee and Selena wouldn't mind keeping an eye or ear on them," she said. "And Elias," she added in afterthought. Or he might just help him kill them all....

I don't doubt him. Aura thought, standing up. She spared a glance in Elias's direction, wondering what he thought of Mark and Alex's relationship.

Alyssa saw Mark narrow his eyes. "You really think that you're much scarier then you are." She said, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes.
