Ah, now that we have assembled; I would like to begin with why I broguth you here.
Farskon, did a double take from the voice of Vaswedes.
In the final years of the war The Folk where at their end, they had tried everything to get humanity to leave them in peace.
So they left Earth. But they wanted a way back, they left a trump card to a particularly ironic person. Galahad; he in secret placed a special rune in this room.
Thinking it was safe the Folk left, hoping to return when Galahad would supposedly persuade the humans to see everything else in a different light.
But being a paladin, he failed his mission. And to make things better removed the Link Rune, and leaving it to be lost forever.
Oh but the Darklings or Folk's new mirror Earth had the other rune, needed to bring back the Darklings to the Earth.
Then there was the simulation, and in it, a perfect replica of the Link Rune. Infact all I really need to do is get someone to activate it the same time I use the Base Rune. Which was of course locked in Servist's treasury.
"No," Farskon said."There's something else you want, besides merging, or bringing back the world, I refuse to use this rune."

"OH, FOR THE LOVE OF-" Emma was cut off before she could really start ranting by a warning glance from the sorcerer beside her.
I want to kill him just as much as you do, but screaming won't do you any good.
I WAS THIS CLOSE! THIS BLOODY CLOSE TO GOING HOME!

It's funny how stress brings about an expansion in vocabulary. Scribbler found herself cursing mentally in languages she didn't know she knew, and when she ran out, she combined them in new, interesting combinations and kept going.
"The simulation is located in the mirror Earth...or have you overlooked that?" she muttered mutinously. "If a merge happens, won't it just be linked here?"
[v: See ya later, then!]

The Simulation is located in it's own mirror. Anyway, the location doesn't exactly matter.
Now, you can either stay here for the rest of your little lives, or you can use that rune.
"No..," Farskon grimaced."No."
...A shame...perhaps I should tell you that if you don't. Then I will destroy London, and it's inhabitants.
The Paladin's eyes widened. He shuddered in uncertainty.

The nobles remained silent, each wishing for a blade in their hand, a throat to strangle, or somebody to punch.
Darkness called to both, but neither answered.
Somebody kill me.
Only if you return the favor.

"..."
Played into a corner. AGAIN.
Scribbler was wishing the utter destruction of the simulation right about now, preferably if the slimy vampire disintegrated along with it.
Filthy coward.

Farskon gritted his teeth, and cried out."Damn me for doing this!"
He held onto the rune, and shouted out."How do I use it?!"
Nothing happened, and then everyone felt a jolt. A jolt that was elsewhere, but at the same time was with them.

Emma had her eyes closed, her hands tightly clasped around Hrothbert's waist as the jolt shook her frame.
She had given up.
Whatever happened next, it could not possibly make things any worse.
She would never get home.

There was a bizarre shattering sensation somewhere in her mind as the jolt passed through Scribbler, and a feeling of despair swept through soon after.
Whatever that was...it didn't bode well.
Elsewhere, her body gave a shudder.

There was another jolt. This one felt odder, their bodies felt numb, and unresponsive. And yet they felt another feeling, and another awareness coming back.
And then they woke up. Farskon gasped with air, in the pod. His body prickling with familiarity.

There was the sound of glass shattering and Emma fell to the floor, soaking wet and stark naked, breathing like she'd just run ten miles.
She got her breath back, discovering that (after her strength having been sapped nearly to the point of death) she could barely stand-
And then the temperature around her plummeted.
"WHY AM I NAKED?"

A smooth motion transferred the inkmancer out of her pod, her ink swirling about her like a second skin and obscuring her nakedness. Cold fury settled over her blackened face like a mask.
"He will regret that if it's the last thing I do..."
She paid no heed to her own dripping, but did fumble for her sketchbook to draw a robe for Emma.

Farskon jumped out of his pod. Equally as exposed; he quickly went to the bin, and put some clothes on. Not noticing that the rune was engraved into his back.

Emma nodded in thanks and drew the conjured robe about her, looking around for the absent member of their party. Worry rose in her for a moment, but her features smoothed out soon after, a small smile flitting across her lips.
"He will burn, I will make sure of it."

"Him and every single one who dares call him an ally."
The ink still writhed, expressing their mistress's anger at the absent vampire...but sank deep in a moment as she went to retrieve her own clothing from the basket. It yet coiled, as if expecting an attack.
Hrothbert was presumably back in the estate already...and safe.
