The pumping slowed, then reversed, silver and red going back in...but the machine wasn't designed for the opposite direction. It began to quake and rumble, shaking under Emma's deft hands as if preparing to explode.
Abruptly, it stopped, melting right down into a puddle of goo. The pipes dissipated.
[/hopes this is okay]

The pipes shot out of him, and he gasped sharply. He had a cough episode and the tubes now lying on the floor leaked Silver blood.
The Paladin passed out.

Remus scanned over the paladin for signs of injury. He appeared fine for the most part and nothing was broken.
"I'll carry him. You two lead." the Imperator said and knelt down to scoop the paladin up.

Emma cupped the Paladin's head in her hands, weaving the gentlest healing spell she could over him while he lay in Remus' arms. Taking the cloak from around her shoulders, she spread it over the boy to protect him from the chill that awaited them outside. Once she was sure the spell had set, she turned and made her way out of the cellar.

The paene approached Remus, placing two hands on Paladin's chest, and focused. Seal the small leak...come on... "Vigoratus."
Hopefully whatever silver fluid would stay where it was supposed to, now...two healing spells.
"...Let's get outta here," she panted, before falling into step behind Emma.

Remus followed after the two women, Farskon limp in his arms. When they r reached the the top of the stairs, the Imperator ordered his guards to stay close to help shield him from the elements and any enemies they might encounter.

"Portal's gone," Muttered the Night person who appeared seemingly from nowhere. He seemed to be avoiding Farskon like some sort of disease."Wherever that place was going to it's gone." He sighed, and kicked a frozen rock."Well guess you're gonna have to take my exit, those villagers don't look too friendly to us." He shrugged, and averted his eyes from The Paladin.

Emma's eyes widened as she received a mental message.
"There may not be a need..."

He didn't seem to pay attention to Emma, and pulled something out of his pocket."Oh I got it covered!" He wrote on the paper, and spoke."Emergency 834 emergency!"
A blue light encircled the group taking them through a blue portal.

Scribbler looked up, glancing at Emma questioningly. Was that why Hrothbert had disappeared? Her thought was cut off as the ground glowed blue and they were whisked through the portal only to land in parts unknown.
"..." Out came the paintbrush again.

Cancel the favor, love. Emma sighed mentally.
There was a definite feel of irritation from the other side of the link.
I have an impatient deity over here, Emma.
Oh dear. Which one? Wait, which deity owes you a favor?
Odin.
Bugger.

Remus glared at the Night Person. "Hey! Did you not hear what she just said?" the Imperator hissed. However, it was too late at that point.
The blue portal had already done its work.

The group landed outside of the gates of a city. It looked like a picture out of Victorian London. The buildings were old fashioned, and yet it was modernized. The materials used to build them were modern like. There were mops, sweeping the paved stones by themselves. There was street vendors hauling around a few carts they were labeling prices using glowing letters, and numbers in the air. Luckily it was written in English.
"Thank god we're back in Nodnol." Said the Night Person.

Don't cancel it, don't cancel it!
EMMA!
It's not my fault! We're still in this other world, get the bloody All-Father over here!
An extremely gruff, older, rougher male voice sounded in Emma's head, ringing as if she was standing under a large bell.
The bloody All-Father can hear you, girl. I will come, but I do this for your sorcerer, not you.

Oh. Scribbler relaxed a wee bit. Nodnol...sounded oddly familiar. London? She had never been, and couldn't tell.
Up came the paintbrush again when some remnant of what Emma was hearing caused a small ripple in nearby minds with its force. "...?!"
