 "Well I'm going to go head to class. Catch you later Ryo." Tsukiko stood up and dusted herself off. She needed to find her locker to get her books and stuff. She felt alone right now, she missed Palian terribly. She walked through the halls watching everyone else go on with their lives. People practicing their powers, and such.
Next week was her birthday, and the real witching hour for her. Most people would be at the Halloween Dance. So she wouldn't have to go out of her way to make sure everyone else would be safe. It just scared her to know that all this raw power was going to consume her. That was a very small chance she could sustain it with out going crazy. This made her feel even more alone. Even though Ryo was going to be by her side she wanted someone else. She had fallen down a rabbit hole and didn't want to find her way back out.
'I'll leave your master be for now Palian, I just hope we meet again soon.' Tsukiko said to herself as she walked through the hall. She didn't care if he didn't get her message she had manage to leave the way she wanted and told him how she felt.

✧If you're out there, sing along with me✧ "That was the story I heard of the most." Tyrek laughed, not at all upset (and completely understanding) that Ace didn't shake hands. Suddenly, he whipped his head around back to the doorway, smiling as he recognized who was there. "Keve, don't lurk; come here." he beckoned, and a masked face popped into sight. Glancing around the room, a brown and white blur made a beeline for Tyrek. He began to laugh until the small face could be seen on his shoulder.
"Sorry, it tickles whenever he does that. Anyway, this is Keve, my pet ferret. He's really nice to most people who he thinks has a good sense of character. He's a good judge of that." He said with affection as he patted the furred head. Keve let out a purring sound before his eyes fell on the sleeping Birdie. Instantly he was alert, in full predator mode as he swished his tail. With a growl, Keve bolted off of Tyrek's shoulder and for Birdie. "Keve, no!" Tyrek shouted as he stopped time. Grabbing the ferret (who was frozen in midair), Tyrek noticed that not everything was affected by his time freeze. "You… you have time control powers like me?" Tyrek asked Ace, his voice full of awe and caution.✧I'm dying to believe that you're out there✧

♪ Looking up into the sky, looking for the reason Why I'm here and why you can't be here ♪ "W-wait." She stopped where she was, lifting her head to look back at him. Her expression now showed a bit of curiosity and a tiny hint of hope, but she waited to hear him out. Her heart twisted a bit at the pleading tone in his voice. Did I offend him? Oh please, don't tell me I made him upset…
"Don't worry about it." Fyte said, giving him a small smile. 'Twas an honestly sincere smile, since she had taken no offense whatsoever. She was about to take a step towards him, but thought better of it and stayed where she was. A long sigh escaped her lips, and she bowed her head once again.
"I should be the one who's sorry. I kinda pushed my way into your life when you probably don't want me to be so… involved. I tend to do it often without thinking, and that aggravates people. So… I'm sorry, Nemo. I'll keep to myself." she said softly. Now that she thought about it, it all made sense to her. She'd just burst into his life without asking, and he wasn't too good with socializing. She'd forced him to do what he was bad at within the short period of time she'd known him for. No wonder he'd stormed off like that earlier; he'd finally gotten fed up with her. Fyte just stood there, unsure of what to do. Some small voice from somewhere within was just waiting for him to deny everything she'd just said, though she highly doubted it. Should she just make an excuse to run? or should she stay and face his answer?♪ If you loose me somewhere, and your tears are in the air I will ring a bell until you feel me by your side ♪

 He didn't understand this. It all confused him terribly. Here he was, manning up to his faults and accepting blame for his poor behavior, and she goes and apologizes.
"You're right. I didn't ask you to involve yourself with me," he admitted in an even tone as if just coming to the realization himself. "But I find your company reassuring."
Reassuring? Had he really said that? Even as they passed his lips he thought they were a mistake. Weren't girls wanting to hear some romantic line that they've read in paper back novels? But he hardly knew this girl, he couldn't possibly have those kinds of feelings. Not that he'd say some overused cliche if he were.
"Um. . . I mean," he began after biting his lip for courage. "No, I don't want you to feel like you need to avoid me. I know. . . I know I'm not . . . the most easy person to be around. But I am trying. . . And I . . . I would like it if we could be friends." Letting the rest of his breath out in a rush, Nemo looked at Fyte hopefully. This was a true moment for him, where he dared to lock gazes when he normally steered clear of eye contact.

She could feel her smile start to falter as she found herself feeling sad. Why am I feeling this way? It shouldn't be this heartbreaking to confirm his rejection… She knew she should've just made the excuse to run away, like a coward. She hated this empty feeling that she was feeling…"But I find your company reassuring."Wait, hold that thought. Did he just… say what I think he said? her mind sputtered, stalling for a bit as she registered what had just happened while she was off in Lala-land. Once it finally registered completely, she looked at him directly, her eyes full of awe and watery. "… Really?" she asked in a meek voice, so uncharacteristic for her usual personality. "If you don't mind… then… I'd like it if… we could be friends too." her voice wavered, her emotions a bit out of her control at the moment. She felt like she was going to burst into happy tears at any moment; she was on the verge of becoming a complete blubbering mess.♪ If you loose me somewhere, and your tears are in the air I will ring a bell until you feel me by your side ♪

✧If you're out there, sing along with me✧ "Hell no! If I was gonna do that, I'd have already turned myself over." Tyrek replied, frowning a bit as he did so. "However, I myself am not completely out of their grasp. I had to be truthful when I applied for this job." he gave a heavy sigh as one of his hands ran through his hair. "Wondering what I'll do then. In the meantime… I'm here teaching kids like you. If you want, Ace, I can teach you how to control and learn your powers better than you already do. Just say… it's tutoring. For the sake of keeping you safe." Tyrek smiled. "And don't worry; I'll never turn you over to the likes of them. Nasty bunch, those people are. Time for me to let time flow again, though." With that, he restored the stopped time to the area.
Instantly, he was scolding his pet ferret, as if nothing had happened between Ace and himself. "Bad Keve! Bad I say, bad! No! You don't go doing that to other people's pets!" Looking up at Ace, he gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry, he's used to chasing the birds outside or other small animals. I'm gonna have to teach him to not go for your bird." Standing up with a squirming Keve in hand, he walked out of the room. "Better get to my class… See you guys later. Oh, and think about it, will ya Ace?"✧I'm dying to believe that you're out there✧

Ace thinks for a moment then gets out of the bed "I'm gonna go to my room for the rest of the day. Seeya Alessa." Ace says grabing his things as Birdie lands on his head looking saddened.

A cold sweat broke out as he waited for her response. It seemed like an eternity had passed where they stood. Unmoving. He noted when she looked crushed and shocked, but her blank expression worried him. Had he not made himself clear? Did she not understand what he was trying to say?
Then the water filled her gaze and he paled at the thought she might cry on him. It wasn't a blow to his ego or anything, but he honestly didn't know what he would do if she broke down in front of him. 'Please God, don't make her cry,' he thought half panicked.
"Oh. . . ok," he breathed when she finally answered. She still looked like she might go to tears, but at least he knew they would not be tears of sorrow. Even if he still wouldn't know how to react. He let his eyes drop again, letting them scan the ground at their feet. "I. . . that's good." He shook his head to clear it. Honestly, being around other people was taking a toll on his ability to be literate. Then again, maybe it was being around this particular person that made his tongue tie up and make him trip over his words.
'Nope,' he thought. 'Nope it's just people in general. They distract me.'

♡♥ Broken up, deep inside, but you won't get to see the tears I cry ♥♡ "He's one of our toughest." Alessa merely said with a hint of pride in her voice. She knew she should feel bad about Ace's injuries from a year back but hey, he had brought it upon himself. She noticed Tyrek's ferret before it had stuck his head in the doorway. She gave a small unguarded smile as it climbed onto his shoulder, much like the smile she gave Birdie when she though no one was looking. Before she could ask if she could hold him, she saw the ferret launch himself off of Tyrek's shoulder. It didn't take much to realize what he was going for. She put herself in between Birdie, leaning over the bed as she did so. I hope I'm fast enough. was all she thought.
Instantly, Tyrek had Keve, shouting at the confused animal. Alessa couldn't blame the poor thing; she was just as confused. She knew she'd seen the ferret making his way over to Birdie, yet… Tyrek had him right there in his hands. Okay… weird much? She seated herself again, nodding to the teacher as he made his way out of the door. One tense minute passed, when she opened her mouth to speak. "Ace-" She was cut off by his statement, her mouth still open. Half of her wanted to argue for him to stay here, and the other half wanted to question him what had just happened. Instead, her mouth became a fine line on her face, merely saying "Ok." in response. Once the door had closed again, she gave a small sigh. "Too much to ask… not enough reason to go butting in on this one." she told herself, scooting out of her chair. She followed the boys' suit, whisking her way out of the infirmary door. This time, however, she was going back to class, like the good girl she should be.♥♡ I'm torn into pieces, but I don't cry on the outside anymore…♡♥

Fyte had no idea why she was crying, but she was just so relieved. She had been afraid. Afraid of what? a voice in the back of her head asked. Rejection? You've had people reject you before. Why should his affect you so much? She swallowed hard, trying as best as she could to stop looking like a mess in front of Nemo.
"I-I'm sorry, Nemo. I did -hiccup- n't mean to cry. I-I just…" she choked out, wiping her eyes and nose on her sleeves. "I'm just so… relieved." Why she was speaking her mind to him like this, she had no idea why. She just… felt like she needed to get this off of her mind (or chest, as the saying went) right now.♪ If you loose me somewhere, and your tears are in the air I will ring a bell until you feel me by your side ♪

Ace starts to walk around as Raine steps out of a shadow "Well our fight was fun but you gonna kill me now?" "Raine:I haven't told anyone about you but people I know are starting to get suspicious and I can't have that so yes I am going to kill you now." Birdie takes off for safety as Ace pulls out a knife "Well goodluck." "Raine:I don't need it." Raine says as he pulls out his own knife and the two start to clash with no one around to see "It didn't have to be this way." "Raine:No but it is and now it is going to end. So who was your female friend? Could it be your.." "Shut up you idiot and just die." Raine steps out and quickly back in slashing Ace on his side then blocks Ace's attack, quickly countering it and cuttung Ace's hand causing him to drop the knife. "Damn guess I have to use my powers huh?" "Raine:Wont do you any good." Raine says going in for another cut as Ace dodges and uses his time powers to heal his wound "A little ironic that we can only truly be killed by another time controler because we can't die by age or." "Raine:Will you shut up my god." "Theres another irony right there." Ace says laughing as Raine goes in for another cut barely missing as Ace drops and goes for his. As Ace tries to grab his knife he is kicked in the face and Raine grabs his knife pocketing it. Ace tries to get up but Raine stabs him in the side and pins him against the wall "Well ********." Ace says as Raine stabs him in the gut. ((Longest post i've made in this guild))

(*claps* good job Ace. I'm proud of you. See? Practice pays off. lol But did you really have to be so rough on yourself? >.<) A water spot dampened the sidewalk. So small and unassuming, yet it caused a pulse pounding ring to sound in Nemo's ear. Eyes widening, he rose his stormy gaze to see the tears that trickled down Fytes' cheek. Paling slightly, he took a half step forward, then stopped himself. His mind raced with urgent need to figure out why she still cried, but kept going in circles unproductively.
"Why? Why are you crying? Please, please stop. I-" he pleaded softly while raising his hands in a placating gesture. Then his eyes deadened and his hands fell to their sides.
"Why!?!! Why did you do this? Why did you kill her? She was just a little girl! She was my baby!" The woman cried as she held the limp form of the child. Golden curls lay across a pink jumpsuit. Only five years old and she had been playing in the park on a bright sunny day.
The day had been so warm that Nemo had fallen asleep in the shade of a tree. It was the last time he ever idly went outside without caffeine.
The echoes of the woman's' wails echoed in his head even after the flashback ended. Her tears and curses still vivid in his mind.
Taking a step back, he shook his head to clear it.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you," he said in a low voice before turning to walk away.

♡♥ Broken up, deep inside, but you won't get to see the tears I cry ♥♡ The crackling of the earpiece caught her attention, and she paused in the hallway to answer it. "What's wrong?" she asked, her sincere tone catching the speaker off guard for a second. Recovering, he filled her in on the situation. "We've just detected a fight between two people. You're the closest to them, so can you intervene and figure out the situation?" He proceeded to give her the coordinates.
"Fine. I'll contact you when I get there, over." she sighed. Why was this year already trying her patience? She sprinted over to the area, only to see Ace getting shanked in the gut. Her mind jumped right in to action, not pausing for a millisecond. "Code red, Code red, I repeat, code red! Situation 605 has occurred in area 00-45-1 Golf. Requesting backup immediately." She all but yelled into the earpiece, unsheathing her twin blades as she jumped into the fray. In the same moment, she created a double, sending it over to Ace as she herself dealt with his opponent. She slammed him in the gut, knocking the knife out of his hand as she slammed him into the opposite wall. He had no time to react before she yanked off her glove. Placing her hand directly upon his forehead, Alessa dragged him into her world of illusion.♥♡ I'm torn into pieces, but I don't cry on the outside anymore…♡♥

Ace falls to his knees and coughs out some blood then looks at Alessa as his cuts starts to show by the loss of blood "..You can't beat him even in your own world so run please. He doesn't have to kill you too." Ace says falling face first onto the floor still conscious Raine looks around to se he is in Alessa's head and laughs "Raine:So the girlfriend appears to save her man how cute but you can't defeat me..Alessa was it." Raine says as the area the two are in start to glow "Raine:Just because you are in control here doesn't mean time stops. So yes you can change things but watch this." With that Raine snaps his fingures and Alessa is hurdled backwards against the wall as Raine crouches on one leg "That was called reversal it does to you what you did to me and now I think I will kill you as Ace over there cannot help you." Raine's body is covered on fire as he picks his knife back up it quickly becoming engulfed aswell by the flames. Ace puts his one hand out and creates a time barrier around both Alessa's so that not even Raine another time wielder can touch them "It may only last till I die but it gives her enough prep time to think of a way to escape or for her back up to arrive. Or run out if needed." "Raine:You don't think I would let these barriers get to me do you I mean I just have to freeze time once they break them not even back up can help. It may have been a noble attempt but you finally fail Ace. Goodbye." Raine lunges at Ace with the knife as Ace closes his eyes waiting for the impact of the weopon.
