"We could just go up to him and say 'we know you have super powers open up'." Jarred suggested, taking a bite of pizza.

Roxanna shook her head, examining a slice of pizza, though not quite ready to take a bight. "It would be easier for me to go to him and ask for help, he's promised it before, I doubt he'd say no now. Once I admit my own powers as well, I assume he'll be inclined to explain his."

"Thank you, Rook," She said, for both the couch issue and helping her with the bandage. She lowered her shirt down and walked over to the pizzas, confiscating one of them so she could start adding spices and strange things to the top of it. She shuffled through Jarred's cupboards and fridge, pulling out unusual items and debating what would make the best toppings.

Before she left, Rook squeezed her hand with a smile, before making his way to the food as well. "Thank you, Jarred." He said as he took a slice, before turning to Roxanna, "Blacks aren't always like that... Sterotypes with super-human abilities, when there's so many, are usually pretty loose... It's just that Blacks are bad news. Their powers are usually pretty profound and scary. So, the people that have them are none too keen on admitting to them, much less letting you kill them for being 'Too Powerful'," He paused to take a bite, swallowing before resuming, "That said, you can understand why we're leery."

"And why would they want to not die, honestly, silly black category." Kat said, her tone biting as she thought on the Keepers. She continued to dress up the cheese pizza on the counter, adding some basil, a bit of goat cheese, pine nuts, and some sun-dried tomatoes. When she was satisfied she took a slice and took a seat on the counter, "Anyone is welcome to try the better pizza if they so please."

"I trust Marcus to an extent, I still think he will be safe if we approach him gently." Roxanna said, a slight frown on her face. She glanced from the pizza on the table to Kat's pizza and debated which one she should try.

Rook chuckled. "Well, that's the issue... There's a bare handful that are within the Keepers. They usually just get rid of them without a thought... I don't blame them in the slightest for fighting for it."

"I'd fight it as well." Roxanna said, settling on nibbling the piece of normal pizza she'd chosen. She made a slight smile, taking a few more bites and deciding that pizza was indeed rather good.

Eulalia Danae "I'd fight it as well." Roxanna said, settling on nibbling the piece of normal pizza she'd chosen. She made a slight smile, taking a few more bites and deciding that pizza was indeed rather good. After Rook finished his, he grabbed a slice of Kat's raising an eyebrow. "What did you do to this?" He took a cautious bite, then decided that it was slightly above edible, managing to carry on his conversation with Roxanna between mouthfuls, "I think all of us would. For the most part, people are attached to being alive."

"I made it good." Kat said simply, not bothering to hide her pleased smile that someone finally tasted her experimentation and approved. She finished the last bite of her pizza slice and dabbed her mouth with a napkin, while looking for something to wash it down. She looked for the cranberry juice but frowned as she realized she'd left it down in the SUV, so she helped herself to some orange juice instead. "Alive is nice, I'd have to agree with that."

Jarred pulled out the cranberry juice from the fridge, sliding it to her, still on his first piece.
"The guy might not like it, but if he doesn't work with us, it's worse for him. I'd say that maybe with his connections he'd be safe, but..." He shrugged, a half-glance over at Roxanna.

"Having connections makes you safe for so long. But, I guess we already knew that." He looked to Roxanna, before turning back to Jarred, "We have to get to him, there's no two ways about it, but the problem is getting to him. If he's heavily guarded, us sneaking in might only serve to stress him. If he's one of the batch that showed up here in the past year or so, he's new to his powers, and stress could lead to some kind of event... And that could be even worse for us and him than the Keepers getting to him."

Kat said a quick thanks as he slid the cranberry juice to her, and filled a glass. "More connections is safer?" Kat let out a short laugh, "Neither of you have been sliding for very long, I'll tell you that much. Groups are priority, they crush them quickly. We're lucky in that St.Eva is currently a more pressing issue, but backsliders survive best in small numbers."
Kat moved to the counter, leaning on the corner as she sipped her juice.

Roxanna let out a sigh. "Let me approach him. He may be more responsive to a familiar face. I'll do it tomorrow, after we all get some sleep."

"There's also a difference between a slider and a well-connected member of high society that funded the biggest social help organization in the city." Rook replied, looking over to Kat, shrugging, "Let's get you a phone, so you can keep in touch., If you don't think he'll flip out, might be a safe bet."
