Lys' eyes went wider at the sight and all of a sudden breathing seemed impossible as Jalik gripped her even more. "I bring you a woman. All I ask for is more than what I have. I'm tired of being a simple fortune teller, I want to be higher up in life." If looks could kill, he would already be dead at her feet. He was trading her because he was unhappy with his little fortune telling lifestyle? She really hated him now, not even caring that they were blood. He had severed that bond himself at this point.

The beast narrowed its eyes, its tail swaying as it lowered its head slightly. " i will give you three things, as you asked. You will have more pain than you've ever felt.. You will be The fortune teller others speak of.. and you'll be higher off the ground than any human can jump." with lightning speed he snapped the man up by his shoulder, leaving the girl sprawling on the ground as he ripped the man to shreds.. shaking the corpse before tossing it into the air, then simply opening his jaws and swallowing him. he had givin him exactly what he wanted.. people would talk about the fool who tried to use a dragon for years to come. shaking his head the beast arched his neck, lowering his head until he studied Lys with one large, pale eye. " this was the deal.. you agree?"

When she was finally dropped she took a deep breath just before hiding her head, covering her ears to block his screams. She was not the psychic he was, but even she could detect the weight of death in the air, the sudden eeriness mixed with the smell of blood. The dragon's voice caught her by surprise, making her jump and move back before her eyes widened, nodding at his words. At this point she was afraid to disagree only because of what had just happened.
((Haha, which is why I hate lawyers unless I need them))

(( Ah yes.. the true blood suckers of the world, lawyers and Reporters.))
" ...Good." appearing pleased the creature backed away slightly, and in the blink of an eye a man stood where the dragon had been.. patchs of red scales appearing randomly along his skin under his torn clothing and a pair of horns on his head.. red wings curled against his back as he gave the girl a cunning grin. " Then its your turn.. your going to show me how humans exist now, and in return.. i may let you have you freedom." he had slept.. far too long. humans had changed, he could see that easily.. but what was the harm picking up a servent while he was exploring?

A chill went down her spine when he was human all of a sudden, shock filling her as well as keeping her silent while his words sank in. He wasn't going to kill her. That was a positive in the situation. Carefully she pulled herself up, pushing her hair back from her eyes as she tried to find her voice. It was only hard because she couldn't pull her eyes from his. She had heard that a dragon could be hypnotic, but she didn't know that there were any left. And she didn't know the truth depth of their gaze. "Yes, sir."

" Good girl.. let us start simple, find me suitable garments to wear." humans were always so picky with their coverings.. looking to the right he paused, kneeling and lifting a ring of keys that had fallen from her brothers pocket. one charm, a chunk of red glass, held his attention firmly. " not a stone.. but magic is in here.."

She felt the urge to run when he had Jalik's keys but stayed where she was. "I can't tell you what kind, Sir. He kept to himself unless he couldn't take care of himself." The sight of the keys actually made her ache, because she had made one of the small silver charms, a star with an intricate pattern. "Some of his clothes might fit you, if you'll follow me."

Studying her reaction he pushed the metal bars onto his tattered belt pocket, nodding slightly as he paused beside her.. holding out his hand. " But first.. a last bit of the deal. your hand, and your name."

Nervousness shot through her, chilling the blood in her veins even as she placed her hand in his. Her voice was soft as she answered, avoiding his gaze. She was actually a little surprised that his skin was warm, not cold like she expected because of the scales she saw. "Lyssandria."

it was talons, not fingers, that closed around her hand.. the needle sharp points carfully tickling her skin as a burning sensation crawled up her arm to the side of her neck. a red mark outlined in black burned itself into the skin, a cresent moon with its points turned upward and a flame resting on its inner curve. content that his mark was in place he let her go, holding her gaze firmly as he answered. " you may adress me as Rin. now.. lead on, Lyssandria."

She wanted to pull away when she felt the burn, fear filling her when she she felt the outline, biting her lip. At first she thought he had tricked her, but when it faded she relaxed ever so slightly. His eyes froze her in place again but she heard his words, pulling away finally as she started walking, her fingers tracing the mark as she mumbled, "Lys."

Nodding ever so slightly he fallowed after her, studying the plants and the sky for any hint of something familiar. the trees had grown much bigger.. " Tell me.. where is the nearest dragon found? any word on who is near this location?" in his life time, one could find another dragon simply by listening to knights mutter about areas infested with them.. he didnt even think that things had changed.

She looked up at his question, trying to think. She hadn't heard anything about dragons, but if she thought long enough she might remember something. "I don't really have any recollections at the moment. I'm sorry." She noticed that they were on the edge of the forest and her steps faultered slightly. "You may want to stay close to me, Rin. I live in the village, and more than likely people will still be filling the streets." The vendors in her area were outside until someone told them to go in, or they were finally done selling.

Rin glanced at the girl curiously, slowly nodding as they stepped from the cover of the forest. the moment sunlight hit him his appearance became fully human.. no hint of scale or talons on him as he fallowed the girl. she was a charming little thing.. it made him glad he hadnt decided to eat her.
