It did in fact miss, bouncing right off her nose as she laughed. "Hey! Watch it!" She snapped jokingly, sitting up straighter. "Ok ok, For serious this time..." She hopped off the table to better prepare herself, a happy gleam in her eye.
She too wondered why something so simple was so wonderful... maybe this is what proved they were perfect for each other. The seemed to have been intimate with countless other people before each other, but had never shared in the small day to day pleasures like they had here. It was so wonderful and so strangely new, yet familiar all at the same time.

"For serious?" And once more, he threw one for her to catch, which she managed to catch. The sight of her small victory made him laugh and scoop her up in his arms for a hug and kiss. She was his darling who could make him happy just by catching a peanut. It was so ridiculous to think of and yet so wonderful that he couldn't question it at all.

Raquel smiled and laughed, loving how absolutely...'normal' this all was, yet still felt as if it were a special occasion.
"Gosh...I don't think I know a man who can make sundaes any more enjoyable than you do...let alone romantic..." She smiled, leaning up to kiss his nose.

"And I don't know anyone else who I would rather share them with..."
He shifted his hold upon her to one more of a dancing pose, and began to hum a sophisticated tune as he turned her around the kitchen a few times.
"You are like... a breath of fresh air. The pillow in the morning when I do not want to wake up. The cherry on top of a dollop of whipped cream..."
It was all silly and corny, he knew, but with every comparison came a kiss upon her lips or neck. They were still dancing around like silly lovesick things, but he couldn't care less.

Raquel didnt care how sappy it was. With every expression of love, every kiss, every touch and smile, she felt herself becoming more drowsy and utterly drunk off his affections, her knees weakening as she finally closed her eyes and tilted her head back a bit.
"You have a way with words Mr. Centurion..." She murmured softly, swaying back and forth to the silent tune.
"But you know...I may be all those things... but... You're the lungs that breath me in, the bed the pillow needs in the morning to feel complete, and the whipped cream that..." She almost said something to the regards of 'needs the cherry on top of it,' but decided against it...
"Thats.... a perfect combo, creating that sweet final touch to the Sunday we call life hm?" She leaned into him a little, knowing her metaphors were lacking in many many things compared to his, but how could she compare when her heart was melted to the point that it could be mistaken for the hot fudge on the table.

At that, Damian stopped mid-step so that he could take her face in his hands and kiss her deeply. A few seconds later, and he looked utterly drunk off the affections as well, from just her presence and being. Raquel didn't even have to try to be anything spectacular for her to simply been seen as such.

Raquel emitted a soft, surprised but content moan, taking his face in her hands as well, feeling her whole body heat up as if she were on fire the moment their lips touched. What was so crazy, was it felt like her first kiss; her first voluntary kiss; all over again.
When he pulled away, she could hardly open her eyes all the way, feeling so weighed down with it all, but in a god way. "I love you-" She repeated, looking up at him, her eyes seemingly desperate and hungry, but sincere and deep.

Damian was feeling the moment as well. What was different for him was how she didn't ignite him in a way the other women in the ball room did. Raquel brought out a sincere love in him that felt right and unselfish.
As he murmured his own sweet words to her between kisses, Damian knew that this world of Druis would give them the happiness they wanted, even if it required waiting.

Raquel seemed to mumble incoherent replies as she nuzzled into him.
She felt as if she were about to fall back on the sticky ice cream toppings realizing i the back of her mind they were still out. Damn practicality... She laughed at herself for thinking of soemthing so random at a time like this.

Instead of having her fall back, Damian scooped her up and carried her off towards the stairs. It was always the error of them not being in their own house these days, but soon enough they'd have their own home, own freedoms and lives.
So off he carried her despite some pain in his knee, to their own room for some much-needed alone time.

Some time later,
Raquel was lying on Damian's chest,so content, wrapped up in the sheets, smiling and sighing happily. "...how long has it been?" She asked softly, out of nowhere, kissing his chest. It probably hadn't been that long, but it sure felt like it.

Damian was almost asleep, but shared that same contentment.
"Too long," was his only answer, before his eyes opened suddenly to look at her. "We left the ice cream out. Do you think it melted everywhere?"
What a thing to worry about as they lay there together, but it wasn't their house, after all, and all they needed was for Richard and Lorey to come home to a very messy kitchen.

Raquel sat up, still smiling comfortably, leaning down over him to kiss him sweetly a few times. "We'll clean it up in a moment... It won take long... But for now...hold me?" She pulled back to look at him on her request. Such a simple thing, though her eyes were suddenly sad and pleading. If she were to be gone for who knows how long, moments like this were precious to her. So precious and dear, she wanted to get all she could out of them while they were there.

"Of course..."
And so he sat up a bit more and brought her close under the covers. When she went away, they wouldn't see each other like this for awhile, and the more he thought about that, the more he hated the idea of her leaving.
"When do you think they'll come home from their tropic getaway?" he wondered aloud.

"Too soon..." She joked, kissing his jawline as she found herself pressing close to him, just to feel he was there and they were happy. "But I am starting to miss them I suppose...." She smiled jokingly still, sighing as she stared up at the ceiling. "They should be home pretty soon though....so we should probably take a day out of our vacation...to simply clean everything up...oh- and the house...our house...?" She looked to Damian questioningly. "Whats the story there?" She asked, wanting to know whats next.
