((I feel the need to point out that Travis was alive a couple of posts ago))
Hanna leaned on her elbows, folding her hands under her chin as she gazed away at nothing. "Hanna?" She blinked and looked up. "Hmm?" "You were staring. I thought something was wrong," Kallman mumbled apologetically. He forgot to think about his clothes and found himself focusing on her face, following curves that, though he had known her but a short time, he had memorized. Hanna watched behind her hands, then let her shifting eyes float to where Aurora and Kai danced. Aurora closed her eyes, as if remembering another time, and Kai looked over his shoulder at his brother silently, as was his way. Hanna floated ghostily to her feet, and before he had quite realized that they had moved, Kallman discovered that Hanna had led him from his chair, her touch as light as the air they breathed.

::Kallman was on the dance floor and Hanna had his hands intertwined in hers. Kallman couldn't help but stare. Kallman watched as Hanna put her hands to his shoulders and smiled at him.
"Well are you going to twirl me or stare at me all night?" giggled Hanna. This was making her feel better but she couldn't help but thinking of who she was.::
::Kallman danced her around the dance floor trying to forget his worries. Even though Aurora had healed him he still had a little trouble with his movemetns. He looked to Aurora and Kai. Kai's eyes looked dizzy in Aurora's arms. Aurora smiled at him.
"Hanah..." began Kallman.
"What is it?" she asked.
"I just want to ask you a question please don't take it personally okay?" asked Kallman.
"All right." smiled Hanah.
"What is true love?" asked Kallman remembering Rachel. Was he truly in love with Hanna or was it his imagination once again. Would his heart be broken to pieces? Kallman sighed as Hanah answered him.

(Hanna never giggles btw, just so you know)
Hanna paused thoughtfully, for which Kallman was grateful. She was truly thinking about her answer.
"True love," she began slowly, "takes two. It is impossible when one loves another, but they do not return that bond. To have true love, both must love each other greatly. It cannot be another way. Sometimes it can grow from something very weak or one-sided, sometimes from complete lack of emotion. But it is not true love unless both love."

::Kallman stared into her eyes for a few minutes before responding.::
"I understand. Do you think?" Kallman began and stopped himself.
"Never mind that." snorted Kallman trying to erase Rachel out of his mind but despite three years without her Kallman still cared for her wanted her safe and alive. Why did he still care when she betrayed him for Zek? Kallman forced a smile and danced with Hanna. The night came to a slow end and Kallman and Hanna sat next to each other at the table Kai and Aurora on the other side.
They enjoyed a peaceful meal but Kallman didn't eat much of anything and exused himself from the table. He went to his room locked his door and took out the only thing he had from Rachel. It was just a simple gold braclet. Kallman threw it against the wall not knowing Hanah was at his door. About to knock.
"Why why is it always me? First I killed my family and then Rachel left me and now I just don't know what to do. If Hanah doesn't love me the way I love her I swear I will lose my mind. What do I do?"
Hanah knocked on the door and Kallman opened it smiling at her.
"The answer is so simple." she smiled. Kallman blinked in surprise she had been listening to him then she knew the truth. She knew the part of him that he hid from the world.

"The answer is so simple," Hanna said with a small smile, tilting her head. "Follow me...I have something to show you." She took his hand and led him out of the room, her feet silent and bare, his solid and tapping as they walked down a narrow passage that led steeply down. Hanna led him deeper into the mountain than he had ever gone, and soon deeper than anyone, save perhaps his sister had ever dared. The dark was so complete that even Kallman could barely see, but Hanna led him onward. A faint glow began far up ahead, outlining a narrow crevasse in the stone. She slipped through it sideways, and though for Kallman it was a tighter fit, he followed her through and gasped. The cavern was made entirely of crystals, casting an ethereal glow that was magnified over and over, lighting their skin in it's pale beauty. In the center was a pool of the clearest water Kallman had ever seen, faintly golden and reflecting the light around them. "Are you...?" Hanna shook her head. "They glow on their own. I have nothing to do with it." "How did you know this was here?" he asked in amazement, turning to her face. "The water told me," she replied quietly, as if in a holy place and any loud noise would disturb the ancient peace. She led him toward the pool and sat cross-legged, with her hands on her knees. Kallman followed her example and sat, looking around at the beauty of the place. He did not know what to say. "I am glad to have seen this place," Hanna whispered. "I think I will be happier now." "What do you mean?" Kallman asked, cocking his head to look at her. "You will know soon enough," she replied, and slipped off her gloves. She rolled up her sleeves, revealing the blue that had now spread past her elbows. She dipped one hand delicately into the water, letting it pool in her palm. She closed her eyes reverently, and the golden water began to slide over her wrist, becoming a small fountain at her hand. As it bubbled higher, a face began to form, eyes, nose, mouth. Long hair rippled and eddied at the height of their eyes and a face that seemed familiar grew from it. "Hope," Hanna whispered. The face began to change, becoming Kallman's features, but younger, like a child's, and softer. "Joy." Hanna's other hand joined the first, raising up a fountain of sprinkling water that covered them both. "Promise." "What...what was that?" Kallman asked hesitantly. "That is a portion of your future," Hanna replied, opening her eyes and turning to him. "I show you these things so that you may have hope." "Why?" Kallman reached out and took her hand, pressing it firmly both of his and bringing it to his lips. Hanna felt a great weight press down on her, and she sighed, looking down as just one tear slipped past her defenses. "Kallman," she whispered, looking into his eyes. "This can not be." "Why not?" he demanded fiercely. "Why shouldn't we be happy together?" She placed her other hand gently over both of theirs and sighed. "Because soon I will not be here." "What?" Kallman gasped in shock. "You can't leave! Not now!" Hanna took a deep breath. "I'm not--leaving." "Then what do you mean?!" he demanded. "Kallman..." "Tell me!" "I'm...dying," she murmured quietly, having hardly enough strength to speak aloud. "Whatever it is Hanna, we can find a way out of it, I swear I'll find a way--Aurora--" "No Kallman," Hanna interrupted. She pulled her hands away and stared at them, the darkness of their color. "Then Kai--" "No." Kallman sat on his knees and grabbed her shoulder. "Whatever it is--I'll find a way!" "Kallman!" she snapped, finally getting through to him. "Look at my hands. Look at them." "They're blue," he stated. "What of it? They were blue before, several times." "Not like this," she said, shaking her head. "Before, it was my own nature. My mother was a Blue Child, a princess of the Nation. My father, and Charlie's father, was a man like any other. My two natures fight over each other, sometimes taking over, then retreating. "But in the circle, when we were surrounded by fire, I made a sacrifice. My life for all of yours. When you brought me back, the sacrifice was put out of balance, and the human in me is very weak. Every moment of magic I have used since Kai brought me back has taken a piece of the life that I was not supposed to have. I thought I could stop the magic, and so have more time...but I have no control anymore. Today was proof of that." "I don't understand," Kallman rumbled. "I am a poison to myself," Hanna said. "I cannot be healed without dying...and I cannot live with the poison." Kallman held very still, shell-shocked on the outside, inside feeling his soul tearing into chaos. How could this be? How could this be happening to him? To Hanna? "H..." he tried, but his voice failed. He cleared his throat. "How long do you have?" he asked. "A couple of weeks...maybe." "I'll find a way," he whispered. "I swear I'll find a way. I won't let you die." Hanna stood on her knees and cupped his face in her hands. She leaned forward and kissed his forehead sweetly, then sat back, her eyes sad. "Promise me you will not tell anyone of this," she asked. "Hanna...please..." "Promise me," she asked again. "I...I promise."

(Did you forget Kallman wears a bandanna and Hanna kissed the bandanna. Lol.)
::Kallman looked at her and couldnt' believe it. She was dying and there was nothing he could do about it. He was just a man with strength. She had told him even Kai couldn't stop her death. Kallman sighed as he looked to the pool of water. Kallman looked up at Hanna. She was so beautiful if this was her dying then what would it be like for her to live.::
"Hanna." began Kallman barely finding the right words to talk.
"Yes?" asked Hanna.
"I want to tell you something. Even if you die I want you to know the truth." began Kallman as he removed his bandanna and sat it on his lap. Hanna saw the scar on his forehead.
"A long time ago before I met Charlie I fell in love with a girl. She was a wolf girl like myself. I swore she and I would be together forever as mates. Then the black wolves showed up and she decided to leave me to be with their leader Zek. I tried to get her back tried to fight with her and only ended up with this scar. I was too weak to beat him so that day I swore to myself I would never love again. Never again would I be fooled and now here I am in love with you. Love is a confusing thing and I don't think I'll ever understand it. The only thing I know for sure is I don't want you to suffer because of me. If I can't find a way to save you I will regret it for the rest of my life and yet I know from what you say it's about impossible. But Hanna there has to be a way. Nothing is impossible. There just has to be a way."
"Kallman." smiled Hanna.
::Kallman looked at her and took her hand in his and kissed it gently.::
"I love you Hanna and I swear I will find a way. No matter what the cost."

"Take care of my brother, Kallman. That is all I ask of you." They sat in silence for long and long after that, neither knowing what to say.
Hanna's thoughts were vague and she payed them little mind. She thought that perhaps she should be in some kind of torment, but inside she felt only a deep-settled peace, though she wasn't sure why. A gift, perhaps, from the Voice.
"There has been no one here for a very long time," Hanna whispered at last. "Since before the wolves came to the mountain."

"Hanna you can't just give up!" demanded Kallman as he went to stand and her hand stopped him.
"Kallman, listen no matter what happens you must go on. Because of who I am I cannot live like this forever. Very soon the orgin of myself will kill me." explained Hanna.
::Kallman looked at her why, why did this always happen to him. He decided if he couldn't have her then he would spend every second of his time with her until she died. He wasn't going to just quit. It wasn't his nature. He took Hanna into his arms and held her as his tears fell upon her shirt.::
"Hanna, I swear I swear I will protect him for you." cried Kallman.

((Uummm just re-read a couple of posts and realized that Kallman says I swear I will protect him for you...uh...my bad lol ))
Hanna closed her eyes briefly, memorizing Kallman's warmth and the way he smelled. This would have to be the last time she was so close to him, she realized. How could she undue the damage she had already done? How would Kallman recover from what was to come? She couldn't answer. She didn't know. At last she sighed and pulled away, sliding to her feet and offering a hand to help Kallman up. He took it hesitantly, as if she would break, and she sighed as he stood on his own. "I'm not going to fall apart, Kallman," she muttered. "I'm not made of glass."

(It's all right.)
::Kallman looked at her and saw the hidden message of her words. She was concerned for him. For his heart. He smiled as he took her hand and kissed it gently as he looked to her still holding her hand as he firmly went to one knee.:;
"Hanna." he smiled.
"I promise you I don't break easily either." smiled Kallman standing once more looking into her eyes. She was beautiful and graceful and everything Kallman wished he could have but Kallman knew it was impossible for her to stay but he knew heaven was the greater place. He couldn't hold her back because he was selfish. He smiled at her.
"It's kind of funny in a way." he began. Hanna looked at him confused.
"I've always hated humans for destroying my clan and you are mostly human. But the part of you that is different was the very reason I fell in love with you. You aren't like the others Hanna." he smiled letting her hand go as he turned to leave but to his surprise Hanna put a hand to his shoulder and he turned to see what she wanted.::

A slow smile spread across her face, and with it the lights of the cave grew to a dazzling intensity, painting them in colored lights that shifted and glimmered. "So said one outcast to another," she said, a sparkle in her eyes. She leaned close, and Kallman thought she would kiss him, but instead she leaned to his ear and whispered "catch me if you can!" In a shimmering flash that left dazzled lights in his eyes she was gone, racing deeper into the cavern, the dress swirling behind her like liquid. For one stunned moment Kallman didn't know what to do. Then for the first time in a very long time, a smile spread across his face, a rare glimpse of the boy he once was, and he followed.

::Kallman followed her for miles when they stopped and she smiled at him. Kallman didn't know what had gotten into her but she acted like she wasn't even dying. Kallman wished they could forget it all and live in peace. Kallman humbled himself as he looked to her.::
"My sister Aurora told me when I was younger that I was one of the strongest of my clan." explained Kallman.
"I never realized it wasn't physical strength she was talking about. Hanna my real strength is my spirit. I swear Hanna no matter what happens I will move on. Maybe one day I can have a wife. I've always wondered what it's like to have that kiss that siginfies you as husband and wife. Does it feel any different than a normal kiss?" questioned Kallman.
::Hanna just looked at him and smiled. This wolf boy she had never met anyone quite like him before. It was sad that he bound himself to the swamp lands. He didn't belong there, he belonged with his family and friends. Hanna was happy though for Kallman was the very reason her brother was alive and well as a plant. Hey it's a living and he didn't complain. Hanna wished she could trade places and live a simple life as a plant and be by Kallman's side always. Hey, it was a thought.::
(Yes, in my opinion Hanna would think that.)

((You nailed it))
"I wouldn't know," she answered at last, looking about her. She breathed deeply the cool smell of the underground, then started, covering her mouth in surprise as she looked past Kallman's shoulder. A crystalline image had wafted clear of the wall, a beautiful woman in a flowing dress with eyes like the moon that stared into another place. "Hanna what's--" She covered his mouth with her hand and pointed. He turned, but did not know what to look for. "You can't see her, can you?" Hanna whispered in amazement. To her the image was crystal clear, but Kallman could see nothing. She gasped as another figure drifted into existence, as pale and clear as the other, but a man. "They're beautiful," Hanna whispered, taking a step closer. Ghosts were suddenly everywhere, as fragile as bubbles in the soft light, and Hanna tried to attune to them, but failed. Then she realized that they were not ghosts at all--but memories. The mountain's memories. Kallman looked bewildered as she turned to face him. She collected some water drops from a stalactite, letting it pool into her palm, then blew on it softly. It stirred and seemed to shimmer a little. She spit into it, and it began to glow. She dipped two fingers of her other hand into it and began to trace patterns in the air between herself and the wolf, faint runes that glowed for an instant after her fingers left them. Dipping them again, she reached up and dabbed a little onto each of Kallman's surprised eyelids. "What in the world did you--" he began, then gasped, for suddenly he could see them too. "What--what are they?" he asked in wonder. "Memories," Hanna whispered. "The mountain remembers these people...that they were here once..."
