"Oh," Rhea blushed, smiling softly. She held out one hand like Kara had done and tried to summon her magic into it ... but like the previous exercise, it appeared as a glowing liquid and spilled over the edges of her hand.
"Uh oh," Rhea murmured, her brow furrowing gently in concentration. She cupped her hands once more, catching the magic in the bowl like shape, and once her hands were full once more the flow ceased.
"Is it okay if I try make a shape from this?" she asked Kara, looking up at her, her expression worried and anxious. "I don't think it wants to stay in my hand all by itself ..."

"That's fine," Kara nodded, "It seems your magic really likes to take the form of water, seeing as water is one of the elements that helps flowers and plants grow, I shouldn't be too surprised."
It was a pity there was no way to capture that water to make it stop running, but one thing at a time.

Rhea's eyes were filled with relief at Kara's words, and she relaxed slightly, then nodded.
She didn't know what shape to make her magic take ... but she simply looked down at the magic in her hands and wished for it to take a shape, any shape at all. Slowly, the magic swirled in a small twister, like the indecision in Rhea's mind. She still couldn't decide what form she wanted her magic to take ... but then her mind drifted to another form her magic took: her wings - and before she realized it, the magic in her hands had taken the form of wings ... a set of wings with nothing else ...
Then, in the distance, a horse (probably one that her Uncle Amdir was working with) whinnied, and the wings were suddenly attached to the back of a glowing blue horse.
Rhea's eyes were glowing again, but this time it was with excitement. She didn't dare speak for fear that she would lose her concentration and her magic would go all over the place again.

It reminded her of a myth she had read about once, about a winged horse, granted winged horses did exist (along with just about every other winged creature).
"Rhea..." Kara called softly, "Can you make that magic go back inside of you now?"

"I can try," Rhea murmured, smiling proudly. She parted her hands and motioned towards herself, and the flying horse galloped through the air towards her ... but rather than going into her, it ran around her head and shoulders, tiny wings flapping as if it were really flying.
She giggled. She was having fun with this ...

Kara chuckled, it seemed that her horse was more lively than anything she herself could come up with.
"It seems like it has a mind of it's own..." Kara mused.
She really hoped that thing wasn't actually alive and only a by product of magic.

Rhea giggled and held her arm out for the little winged horse to stand on. "I didn't know I could do anything like this," she grinned, her eyes sparkling with laughter. "It's so pretty!"
Then suddenly she remembered she was supposed to be making it go away, and she blushed faintly. "Oops ..."
And the moment the thought entered her mind that the magic had to return inside of her, the horse vanished.

That certainly answered Kara's question about the state of the horse. It seemed as if Rhea's magic was very... active as it were. Though it also seemed to be easier for Rhea to will the magic away.
"That's excellent Rhea."

Rhea flushed with pleasure, her smile so wide it was starting to hurt.
"That was really neat!" she bubbled, giggling. "Did you see it? It was a horse with wings and it was flying and running in the air and it went all around me and on my arm and everything! And it was so pretty! It was all blue and sparkly! Did you see it?"
She was so excited she had to force herself to stop and breathe.

"I did," Kara nodded she was smiling too.
Though mainly because it was just so sweet the way Rhea was so full of excitement, which was good. This was the kind of confidence Kara had hoped for after yesterday.
"That was one very pretty horse."

Rhea giggled. "I've never seen a horse with wings," she told Kara, her eyes sparkling brightly. "Did you?"
She had of course seen a griffin - did she not live with Tao as her neighbour? - but never a winged horse.

"I've... heard about winged horse back home, but I've never seen one before," Kara replied thinking about it.
Nope... she had seen winged cats, and creatures and people, and probably the occasional dog but not a horse as far as she knew.

"Maybe someday," Rhea grinned.
Adonai smiled and shook his head in silence. There were no such things as winged horses - not in their world, anyways. But he didn't want to say something and remind Rhea of his presence ... she was doing just fine on her own.
"What else can we do, Kara?" Rhea asked the angel eagerly. "Can we do more things?"

"Of course," Kara smiled, "We'll just go through a few more excerises."
And so they did until it was time for lunch, Kara walked Rhea through some more specific manifestations, trying to see what that 'magic' might be capable of doing. She also explained to Rhea that by knowing that she could basically do, it could allow to her to think of other things to create.
Like shields maybe....
By the time lunch did come around Kara was feeling a bit stiff from sitting on the ground.

When the sun was high in the sky (though the day was still rather cool), Adonai noticed that Kara seemed to be sitting a little stiffly ... he hadn't taken any note of the passage of time, he had been too transfixed by what he had been watching, but now that he realized it was lunch time, he stretched a bit and rose to his feet.
"I must say," he smiled at Kara, heading over to her and holding out one hand to help her to her feet, "I'm very glad you're helping her with this ... seeing what she can do ... I'm more afraid now than I was before of what she might have done if she hadn't had the right sort of help."
Rhea was once more playing with a little, glowing, winged horse that was flying in lazy circles around her head. She was giggling happily now, and it was almost as if the incident of the day before had been entirely forgotten.
