A faint hum could be heard from the impossibly small door. Instead of growing bigger as he approached, the door actually seemed to becoming smaller as Kryxel approached. Oliver had not stepped across the threshold.
"M-mister Kryxel?" He called out. "Are you sure about proceeding?"

"Given what's happened in this house before, I really don't think going in there is a good idea..." Nam said from the door, one foot inside, one foot out and very unsure.

kryxel paused and turned to look at the old man "my father once told me that there will come a time where you are scared out of your wits and you dont want to take those steps to finish the job...but when that time comes i had better keep my feet walking forward. because courage is nothing without the willpower to make it true and fear with the willpower to stop it is courage. so oliver...if you want to stay where you are that is fine...but i will take those steps." kryxel took three more steps and turned around again "besides if you mess with the E.O.D you end up D.O.A. man that was corny." kryxel continued walking to the door.

As soon as Kryxel stepped on the red section of floor, three different things at once happened.
One, an ear-piercing scream met the ears of them all. This wail was so loud, it was enough to warrant driving a man insane after ten seconds or less.
Second, the floor immediately fell. It slanted - a giant slide, steeper than a forty-five degree angle, flowing downwards, into a deep, black pit under the eternally shrinking doorway at the far end.
Third, Nam was pushed.
So both Kryxel and Nam tumbled down into the deep, dark recesses of an unknown area. When they both awoke (if they were knocked unconscious), they would be trapped in a seemingly endless labyrinth. Straight walls, a flat floor and a flat ceiling, and four different paths in each direction. The walls, floor, and ceiling were a dull gray and were impossible to tell apart. A very confusing place this would prove to be....

Nam swore and clutched his head. No, no, NO! He thought, Courage nothing, life please! He cursed the old man as he began to stand. "Kryxel? You there...?"

kryxel grabbed nam as they both fell into the pit and made sure the boy landed on him. as he hit the ground he heard a crack and felt a sharp intense pain "ah %&&*^#%^%^%^#%$^%^%^&^^%@@@!$#$@$$%$%^%$! oh...man" he eased up slowly using the wall to balance himself "yep...it is broken."

A strange flickering of light pervaded Nam and Kryxel immediately. Which was strange, since there was no visible source of light, and yet there was definitely light. For one, you could see, if barely.
Suddenly, a voice seemed to say into their minds:
I am your greatest fear, your darkest nightmare. I am Aakoth, I am Beeltan, I am Horg. Beware - for I have been unleashed. Soon, your greatest fear will assault you.

"Broken?" Nam echoed, "What's broken??" The boy knew one thing from living on his own, and that was that even a small wound could become a huge problem, and what's worse; he had caused it. Nam felt awful. When he heard the voice, the his hair stood and his eyes widened and his teeth clenched. Had he been in his normal state of mind he would have been worried that his face would be permanently frozen like this. My greatest fear? He thought. Nam didn't know what his greatest fear was, and he didn't want to find out. ((*Nam's greatest fear for himself is being wounded badly))

"it is just...a old sword wound..duleing with a dead samuri does that to you." kryxel smiled and thought what is my greatist fear...fear itself. he stood up and a sheath covered dalturin making it into a good cane for him to help himself up with "the only thing we have to fear...is fear itself." he placed his hand on the left wall and started walking "come on...this way."

((Y-yeah... you two didn't leave me with a great selection of horrible monstrosities. Fear and... being injured. Oh, joy, what fun with evil incarnate be now?
So much for the giant spiders and walking clown corpses I had in mind....))

"A dead samurai?" Nam was seriously beginning to question his own and Kryxel's sanity as he followed the red head, controlling his pace so that he wasn't running like a little girl.

Suddenly, by the power of suggestion (of Nam's secret controlling entity, Hayato), grotesque zombies lifted out of the ground, unfettered by such silly things such as 'floors.'
They began dragging their feet, moving pathetically slow towards Kryxel and - more importantly - Nam.
Most were in varying degrees of rotting, and almost none wore any sort of clothing.

((That would freak anyone out, Z.))
If the zombies weren't moving so slowly, Nam might have collapsed from heart failure then and there. The sent of gore overpowered his nose and threatened to have him lose the meal he had just eaten. He began to breathe more rapidly. He thought, This only happens in movies!! He said, "WHAT THE HELL!!"
