Fisk watched as the man entered the room. No one he'd ever seen before, or recognised. Someone from the other universe perhaps? "And you would be?" he asked.

The clown smiled a wide grin and thought to himself, "Showtime..." "Mister Wilson, I am the Joker. We come from different Universes, you and I, and in more ways than one. It would appear to me that you're more of the planning, plotting, thinking type. Me, I'm usually more of a fly by the seat of my pants type. Right now, though, I'm here as a favor for somebody. Someone you were suppossed to pay for a job. Does the name 'The Mist' ring any bells?"

"The Mist? Honestly no." Fisk replied. He didn't recall hireing anyone who went by such an alias. And left unpaid, they were either jailed or killed.

"Gossamer, then?" Joker said. He wasn't going back empty-handed just because this man didn't recognise her alias. Hell, he wasn't going back empty-handed, period.

"Gossamer?" Fisk said. "Yes, she was under my employment some time ago. Though with that little accident of hers, I didn't think there was any way she could have survived."

"She lived," Joker replied, "And she sent me to pick up her payment. She's still recovering from the incident," the clown lied. She was recovering from SOMETHING, though, so it wasn't a complete lie. "She also told me to inform you that your late payment has incurred interest, so you owe her some extra money, as well."

"Hmph." Fisk replied with a small smirk. Interest? Well that did sound a bit like her. They had made an aggreement that she would get paid for her last job, even if it was only half because of failure. Which is exactly what it resulted in. "Well, we had agreed on a payment, though there was absolutely nothing said about interest. If she failed her job, she was to get half. That's what she'll get. If she wishes to discuss this further, tell her to see me when she's able to."

"How much is half?" Joker asked.

"For what she was supposed to accomplish...I believe it would be around five grand." Fisk replied. Honestly if they hadn't made a deal beforehand, she wouldn't be getting anything. She barely came close to getting the job done, and destroyed one of his buildings.

"Hmmm..." Joker mused as he thought. "I believe you owe her six thousand, then." He acted like he had never heard the part about 'no interest'.

Joker replied as he got one of the chairs in the room and placed it in front of Fisk's desk, then sitting down, "Yep. Six thousand." Might as well sit down, this was either going to take a while, or result in the big man's death, one of the two.

"I believe I said that there was no interest involved. The amount is five thousand, and no more." Fisk said. He sat down, so this might take a while.

Joker took a mental note of where all of his gimmicks were. "And why is that? You were prepared to pay double that in the event of her success, and what I'm asking for is still nowhere near that."

"She did part of her job, she gets part of her pay." he replied. "Either way, I paid more to fix the damage she caused with her out of control spell than I would have giving her the full pay."
