Ghost Rider momentarily locked Black Cat's eyes with his empty sockets, and saw her pain. He didn't need her to say it. All he said was, "And all that you sow, so shall you reap...", elluding to her criminal past against Spider-Man, able to see that in her as well, due to the torn feelings it had raised in Spider-Man. All that one did would always come back to haunt one. Nevertheless, the situation at hand took precedence over everything else at the moment. He walked in after her, and immediately felt the afterwave of demonic presence, a powerful afterwave. Azazel was definitely powerful enough this strong a trace days, even weeks after visitation, so he wasn't surprised. He decided to take a chance, and took off his chain again. He allowed the chain to trace along the strongest points of power, which in turn made the chain start to take the shape of a strange sigil, probably used by Azazel for teleportation of some sort. Letting the Chain stay where it was for the moment, he walked up to a mirror, and then turned back to Black Cat, asking, "Do you have lipstick?"

A strange wave of Magic, barely disernable to normal people, but immensly strong to Magic users, spread across the area. It seemed to come from outer space.

Black Cat glared at his reaping and sowing comment, but didn't say anything. Insufferable, patronizing little... She bit her lip and watched as he did his thing, then blinked when he asked her for lipstick. "Um..." She raised an eyebrow at him, but handed him her lipstick after only a second or two of hesitation.

Ghost Rider took the lipstick from her, and drew out the symbol across the mirror, using it as an artist would use a paintbrush. Once finished, he paused as the wave of Magic came thorugh. There was nothing he could do about it, but he took note of it. He took up his chain again, and put it back around his torso, then studied the sketch closely, and decided that Azazel was acting alone, without help from the living. This was both good and bad. Good, because it meant that few humans would be harmed needlessly; bad, because he couldn't use it to lead them to Azazel by following it to its creator. Looks like he'd need Strange's help to continue. He wrote 'call the doctor' on the mirror, and gave the lipstick back to Black Cat. He then appeared to sigh, and without warning, the flames receded, and flesh appeared upon his bones again. Down below, on the streets, his motorcycle lost the makeover it had gained earlier. The chain disapeared, along with the spikes on his jacket shoulders. The Spirit of Vengeance, the Ghost Rider, was gone. Daniel Ketch was there again. He looked around, and saw the picture, and the message. He looked at Black Cat, and said, with a lopsided grin on his face, "Did you miss me?"

A heartfelt "Yes!" was out of her mouth before she could stop it. Then she turned faintly pink and crossed her arms. "What kind of question is that? Your head isn't on fire! By the way, a heads up would have been nice," she added. " You know, something along the lines of, 'By the way, I'm Ghost Rider. Thought you might want to know.'"

((Enter ... Another Spiderman? from the Marvel Universe.))
Swinging easily among the buildings of Manhattan, someone who looked oddly like Spider-man-- but considerably shorter and much skinnier-- muttered absently to himself as he performed acrobatic flips and splits in the air. "Okay, Chemistry lab summary: check. First draft of essay: done. Uh..." What else... There had been something else... Oh. "Current events article comparison and debate intro: check and check." For once, he'd actually gone on patrol and gotten all his homework done; now he just had to get to school and change into the clothes in his backpack before the bell, and... His eyes widened under the mask. "Backpack!" Not check, definitely not check! Dammit! All of his homework was in there, along with his clothes... There was nothing for it; he'd just have to go back home and grab it. Landing on a nearby building, he rubbed his temples tiredly, then got ready to push off and start back in the opposite direction.
Quite suddenly, he froze, then slowly peeked around the corner of the building. Once again, he saw what his brain had been too focused on missing backpacks to really process before; where a giant chunk of Manhattan should have been, there was instead a giant chunk of another, completely different city. It would have been easy to pick out even for someone who wasn't native to New York; the architecture was in a completely different style, much darker and more gothic. The boy in the Spider-man costume stared at it for a shocked second or two, then looked back at the Manhattan buildings in front of him. "New York..." He peeked around the corner. "City I've never seen before." He turned back to Manhattan. "New York..." Looked around the corner. "City I've never seen before." He stared at it for another long beat, then muttered, "I never thought I'd say this, but I really hope I'm hallucinating."

"Okay, calm down Pete," he muttered to himself, "Just... Look around for a newsstand... or something...!" He briefly put his head in his hands, trying to think calmly, "I really didn't need the extra weirdness. Just once, it would be really nice to just go to school." Even as he spoke, he placed his hands back on the wall and began crawling over to the side of the building that faced the new chunk of city. "But no. Freaks in oozing black suits clobber me, nut jobs with extra appendages try to skewer me, and too many freaking clones to count try to take over my life, but even those things aren't enough. Oh, no." He leapt off the building, then shot a strand of webbing up to the closest of the unfamiliar structures. "Now I have to deal with a missing chunk of New York. I swear, if this is that Strange guy..." He trailed off, muttering something that sounded suspiciously like, "Sorcerer Supreme my a**."

[Position Unknown]
Azazel's smooth voice cut into Black Cat's thoughts. Hello, Cat. Do not react. I know that you're more than capable of hiding your emotions; if he senses that I'm talking to you now, then I assure you that not only will the girl die, but you and he will follow shortly thereafter. Now then. It seems you did something naughty and found help. I can appreciate the action, but it was meaningless. Your time is now up. Come alone to the warehouses. Be there by this time tomorrow, or things will begin to die.

Cat's eyes widened fractionally, but that was her only visible reaction to his voice. "Well, anyway, you're done here, right?" she asked, leaning casually against the wall, "What happens now?"

ENTER from Sanctum Sanctorum
Reaper walked out of the building and paused outside it. He took note of where it was at and dissapeared into his shadow. After a moment he reappeared in another part of the city and leaned against the building in an alley. He straightened his red buckled suit and brushed his dark hair from his face as he move into the street more, into the crowd. Best he could think of for now was to stay in a crowded area. X had appeared the last few times when he as alone. Best to be in plain sight at least for now. Until he could think of something else... He glanced up at a building above him and stared at it a moment. He could sence an abnormal being above him in the building. He was not in the mood to investigate though. He'd let whatever find him if there was going to be a confrontation.

Daniel had smiled when she said "Yes," and it only widened when she tried justifying it. The smile disappeared when he felt a little something, and saw a subtle difference in the sigil Ghost Rider had drawn. Enough experience in the realm of the supernatural told him what happened. The demon had come back, in some fashion or another, and communicated with her directly. Directly, because he didn't hear it. He simply looked at her and said, "Whatever he said, I'd strongly advise not doing it, at least not until I make a quick call. And definitely not if he said to be alone. You do that, it'll put you almost entirely beyond my help. Only Strange will be really able to help you." He pulled out his phone, and called Dr. Strange's Sanctum.

Black Cat's expression did not change at his words, but her body tensed. Great. Well, she hadn't told... but somehow, she doubted that the demon who planned to rape her would care very much. The point was that he knew. What was she supposed to do, now?

Danny took a look at Black Cat, winked at her, and gave her a 'don't worry, I'n here with you' look, and went back to his conversation with Strange on the phone, talking quietly. He'd explain everything to her anyways, but that was just how he talked on the phone.

She relaxed at the wink, but only a little. She was tempted to just jump out the window and make a break for it... but then what? As he said, she had no chance at all on her own. And she would not do it, if it ever came to that. She didn't want Rosie to die, and she certainly wasn't interested in kicking the bucket, but she wouldn't let that happen to her. Period.

Danny put the phone away after the call, and said, "Alright, let me ask you a question. Have you ever been to Doctor Strange's Sanctum?"
