 A little while later Tsume came back to the manor from Arynia, alone. he sat down in one of the poker chairs and sipped some wine Chrono's granddaughter made.

Vermillion managed to slip away from the group unnoticed, and returned to the Manor. He walked with purpose to the thrid floor, and quietly laid down on the soft grasses staring at the ceiling. "This is a peaceful place, perhaps i will ask Akuma if I could stay here, but it would take a lot of learning to switch from being a solider to a gardener. There is no need to be a solider no more, no reason to fight, and It would just be nice to build lives instead of destroying them." vermillion chuckled to himself, hearing himself talk like that was amusing, he didn't think of himself as gifted with words as Tolly was. He must have done something right, he did manage to marry Tolly's daughter.

Tsume came upstairs and looked at Vermillion. he stared for a moment, Seemingly baffled, then walked over and rested a hand on the trunk of her tree. he felt this odd feeling and a few tree sprites came out and started giggling to Tsume about something. Tsume blushed and looked at Vermillion, then back at the tree. The sprites swirled around and danced on the flowers while singing a soft melody and Tsume just shook his head and walked away.

Vermillion woke from his doze to see Tsume's wings disppear out the door. He noted the sprites moving about; "Well now, are we not in a playful mood, I'm not in trouble for coming back am I, because i didn't know Tsume was back yet?"

One of them danced onto his chest and giggled, "No, silly, you're not in trouble... Tsume just got a funny look on his face when we told him..." Another sprite came and whisked her away. they all continued dancing and giggling, while healing the bent flowers where their Lady had fallen from exhaustion.

Vermillion got up and came over to the flower bed to kneel down. "Told him what?" Vermillion watched their antics "Wait a minute, the way she looked at me, no, she doesn't, I thought she was being nice, but does Anabel like me?"

The sprites turned a bright red rose color and disappeared, leaving Vermillion in the flowerbed alone.

Vermillon looked at the tree dumbfounded and flopped onto his back in the short space between flower beds. "I need a vacation, oh yeah i forgot i'm on permanent vacation." Vermillion took the flower in his hand that Anabel gave him. He took his finger on the picked end and concentrating with healing magic attempted to make it grow roots. "i really need to read a book on plants."

Kaos and Quannah come flying through the portal from Arynia. Kaos looked over at Quannah and shouted, "You go up to my island with the other's and I'll be up later." He then flash stepped all the way to the manor. As he busted through the front door he ran for the glass of brandy in Tsume's hand then teleported himself into a chair by the fireplace and tried to look as relaxed and calm as possible. Moment's later Chrono burst through the front doors of the manor, "Evenin' everyone." he smirked as he stalked behind the bar and poured himself the strongest drink he could. he looked up and noticed Kaos sitting calmly by the fireplace, and laughed, "Looks like you made it back..." Kaos glanced over his shoulder with a lazy gaze, "Oh, you're back... i was almost asleep..." he smiled at his daughter and walked up to hug her, "So how did the fitting go love?" Akuma pushed a hand into his chest and he was sitting back in his chair, "You smell like her; leave me be." he frowned and sighed, "Well," he looked up at Chrono, "Did you make friends with Hans?" Chrono snorted and slammed his shot, "Kind of... I told him i would eat one of his damned muffins if he gave me a shot of vodka with it." Kaos laughed, "Did he do it?" "Of course he did!" Chrono shouted, "The damned man was basically glowing when i said it." "Did you eat it?" There was a long pause and Akuma covered her mouth to keep herself from bursting into a laugh attack. finally Chrono sighed, "Yeah, i ate the damned muffin."

Quannah landed at Kaos's island, she was immediately swarmed by everyone including Lena, they were going on an on about Vermillion coming up missing. "He's probably over at the manor, given what you told me about you dealings with Anabel, and Lena you owe..." Lena smiled; "I know, i was there when she did it, she was touching my face so i know, and she is very pretty ya know. I think my father is going to ask Akuma if he can stay at the Manor to help Anabel."
Quannah sighs; "That's if Chrono doesn't kill him first for going in that room, and don't think you're free either Lena. He may find a way to punish you for it too." "Yeah well, you left the abyss without permission from either him or Akuma, and that is bigger offense then entering a room." Quannah shrugged; "It doesn't matter, i'm hungry, lets raid the icebox."

Vermillion couldn't help but feel the presence of chrono, but he ignored it as he found the right energy to make the tiny roots grow out of the base of the stem. He smiled and quickly added it to a bed near the back of the garden. "Anabel, your gift was very nice, but please do not be insulted for me returning it to the soil. I wish to learn on this gift what you do for this entire garden." He spoke to the flower as if it was conduit to her ears in the tree. He thought he was acting silly, and chuckled to himself. I thought I was nuts in Twilite Town, but here I am on the third floor of a house that I haven't been invited properly into.

Kaos stared at the fire and sipped his brandy, "Well, i should probably go kick the dragon army out of my house before they eat all my food..." he snuck up behind Akuma and wrapped her up in a tight bear hug, while continuously kissing her on the cheek, "Love you sweetie." he said as he released her from his grasp. he quickly put up a barrier to block the Psychic slash she threw at him, and she screamed, "Dad!!!" Kaos scurried to the door giggling the whole way. Chrono smirked, "Bet you feel pretty clever... Don't-cha." Kaos turned around and grinned at Chrono, "What ever do you mean, my lord?" Chrono tipped his glass in Kaos's direction and he glared, "I know you JUST got back." "But I..." "I'll see you tomorrow." Chrono crooned as he swirled his wine around his glass . Kaos paled and slid out the door. ~~~~~~~~~~~ "Silly? for talking to flowers? Nonsense. They appreciate the company, in fact it helps them grow," Anabel said as she came around from the other side of the tree, "I'm impressed you got that on the first try without any guidance..." she smiled and knelt down beside him. Anabel's index and middle finger graced the side of the flower, and just her touch perked the flower up.

Quannah and the others invited Lena to come hunting with them but she refused saying she would wait on her father to come before she would join them.
She was washing the dishes, and straightening up the house. When she finished there she began tackling the weeds in the garden.

Vermillion supressed a laugh; "No, not the first try, had to adjust the type of energy at least 4 times, apparently being cut from their roots is the same as if they broke a bone. I could really use a book on this subject, you make it look so easy, but then again taking care of a flower and a tree has simularites. My horrifying destruction spells make up a lot of what I know, and i minored in basic medicine."

Kaos returned to his home and slumped into a chair with a sigh. "Well, It was worth a shot!" he thought to himself as he called in a book from his library. "Might as well brush up for tomorrow." he thought as he opened to page one or a very large book and began reading. ~~~~~ Anabel laughed, "Well, I've never written anything, so i don't have any books on what i can do, but i can do my best to teach you..." she stood up and walked to her tree, glancing over her shoulder at Vermillion.

Vermillion moved quickly seeing an oppourtunity. He stood beside her; "Prefer me standing or sitting?" Vermillion almost had a child like eagerness to his voice.

Lena came back inside she was carrying two baskets in one hand and a armload in her other of ripe vegatables and the baskets had herbs in them.
She looked at the old man in the chair; "You Kaos's father?"

Anabel giggled, "Not now silly, don't you have a daughter to be spending time with." she turned and tapped his nose with the tip of her index finger, "You have an eternity to learn here, how long do you have with her?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The book dropped clear out of his hands missing his lap and hitting the floor with a thud, "No, young child...." he hissed, "I'm not." he stood swiftly from his chair and grabbed one of the baskets, "Thanks for doing the gardening for me." he tried to smile, but it came out as a somewhat nasty smirk.
