There's two lessons in the learning subforum, several Japanese guilds, and my blog 日本語が習う。 Sorry, I don't have time to teach just one person right now along with teaching everyone else.

I've forgotten -all- of my Japanese. The language didn't hold a lot of interest for me.

I can still read most kanji, though.

I think it should be 日本語習う. If you say 日本語習う, it means "the Japanese learns" and I bet thats not what you mean to say.

I forgot to come back and change it. Thanks. And が would have worked if the verb was intransative. xd 日本語を習え

If I put my mind to it, I could start kanji in a few weeks....but I've been pretty lax about learning katakana, it's taking me longer than hiragana...

Normally it does takes longer for foreigners to learn katakana. I learned in 2 days though. 3nodding The only ones I kept forgetting were ふ、フ、ム、and む and I wasn't mixing them up either.

Languages are diffinately my thing. I also learned about 80 kanji in about 2 weeks.

I've been studying japanese for two years now... can read hiragana and katakana and maybe about 40-50 kanji.. don't know exact. I can like recognise more kanji and know their meaning but I don't know their readings... xD But I should stude more, but I don't have enough time for doing it more. I go to lessons once a week...

That's too bad. sad I have Kanji lessons in the lessons subforum if you like. I haven't updated in a while and don't really plan to until I finish the Latin lessons, but it might help some.

We have languages again this week! わーい! whee heart And I actually learned some new words from the RS today! Hopefully we can continue like this for a while. 3nodding

the kana are easier to learn if you don't try to do them all at once.
Just one group at a time, then they follow a pattern

Let me see if I have this right. Kanji is a japanese word written in a chinese character, right?

(sorry for the typo)
