i hear they're changing it in illinois at least. the kids who are in first grade right now will be able to drive at the age of 18 instead of 16 that the second graders now will be able to drive.

Illinois has already changed it's law to where if you are applying for a license for the first time, you have to get a permit and complete 100 hours of behind the wheel instruction, including those over the age of 18. This started in March. I got mine in February. *Whew*
If I would've had to adhere to the new state law, I wouldn't have my license now. I learned how to drive in Iraq. Then I got back to America, scored a 100% on the written test (it's so much easier than the German written test), and I rented a car for my driving portion. I didn't have a permit.
As far as the original question, if Escalla and Eliza Valentina are old geezers, that just makes me more so. I'm a little older than the two of you. (Although I was 22 when I got my license in the above story.)
