((I'm actually feeling better today, not so 'end of the world-ish.' ))
Moeder let out a triumphant roar upon seeing her successful hit, but her attention was diverted as she heard a squeal from Levi. As she turned to look at her 'baby' however the Wartortle had a very easy target, and its spinning body slammed into her chest, forcing her to take several steps back from the impact. She was not deterred though, and let out another roar, which made it hard for her to hear Keegan shout out for her to use Comet Punch. Rearing back both fists, the mighty Kangaskhan charged forward, her arms blurring as she lashed out with several quick strikes.

The Flareon had only enough time to release it's hold on Levi before it took a face full of water from the Water Gun, and was continually pelted by water even as it tried to back off. Salt and Pepper was unwavering as his Flareon was drenched, seemingly unphased by the events as they unfolded. "Flareon, Quick Attack!" he said, his voice firm, yet calm. His nonchalant stance made Keegan want to punch him in the jaw. Crouching low to the ground, the fiery fox dashed forward, the telltale streak of white light trailing behind it as it took aim for Levi again.
=====
"Okay Sparkle, you've got it on the ropes now that it's paralyzed!" Miharu told her Pokemon, feeling confident that Sparkle could handle it from here. "Tackle attack! Don't let up, girl!" she shouted. Very pleased with herself, Sparkle hopped up and down, bleating excitedly. She narrowed her eyes and dashed forward, lowering her head as she rammed into her pink, fluffy opponent, bleating again happily as she knocked it onto its butt.

The Clefairy was able to pick itself up, and Jessica smiled. "She's got a lot of spunk, I'll give her that," she said, chuckling a bit. "Okay Clefairy, use Sing!" Miharu gasped and covered her ears nervously, watching the Clefairy take a deep breath before it began to sing a sweet lullabye, and almost instantly Sparkle started to feel drowsy. A second later she lied down, and was fast asleep.

"Wartortle, Withdraw!" Baldy shouted, wincing at the flurry of blows the Kangaskhan was throwing at his Pokemon. The turtle was subject to at least three hits before it pulled itself into its shell, able to protect itself from the last few hits. The trainer grit his teeth and glared at Keegan - that Kangaskhan would be tough to take down.

Levi had been glad when her Water Gun scored a good hit against the Flareon, however her happiness faded when the Flareon began to speed towards her, and she lost sight of it, that is, until she felt the wind knocked out of her. She somehow heard Kasiya's voice calling out for her to use Mud Slap, and the Marshtomp did just that, digging her paw into the softened ground and hurling a slab of it hopefully into the Flareon's face.

=-=-=-=-=

Jaeshan had called out for another Take Down and now Beldum was soaring through the air again, intent on knocking the flying blue bat right out of the sky. The Zubat was faster though, and it was able to evade quite easily, although the erratic movements it was making made it impossible for it to dish out an attack this time around. Combusken rushed forward, lashing out with her strong legs in an attempt to land a Double Kick on the Poochyena. One hit connected, and it was pretty strong although it had managed to avoid the second.

((I'm sorry those are short but I have suddenly lost all will to post and be creative... stupid government. ))

Lairon charged forth once more, aiming for Scizor's left wing. He knew his foe would more than likely feel that the attack was aimed for her chest and, having been battling her for quite some time, he knew she would dodge left. But when his attack didn't connect, he crashed into a tree, a few leaves falling and burying his toes. Where did she go? Lairon searched around frantically, growling.

"Relax," Kilik said, putting Scizor's Park Ball back onto his belt, "I figured you were bored with her," that and he was tired of the fight going absolutely no where. So instead, he took up a Pokeball and smirked at Lairon, "Let's see how you handle a floating foe! Weezing, c'mon out!" He burst out of the ball, fumes cascading about him in his appearance. Maybe he would make a habit of such a flashy entrance. He floated there for a moment then turned to look at Kilik, all four eyes staring at him longingly. Where was his opponent? "Weezing, you'll be Lairon's next sparring partner. Got it?" he nodded a few times.

"Wee!....zing?" he turned around slowly and at that moment, a massive weight crashed into his left side. The purple goof slammed into the ground, moaning. Lairon had jumped into the air with his Tackle attack, making sure Weezing knew who was boss in these parts. Sure, Weezing was indeed one of Kilik's favorite Pokemon, but he didn't care. This was his training session and he was going to prove just how strong he was. Weezing floated up, tears flowing down his face. He whined loudly and flew at Lairon with what looked like a Tackle but managed to hit him twice.

Kilik was very attentive and picked up on the hit with a raised eyebrow. There's that move again. I didn't command him to do it, obviously since he didn't know what it was, but Weezing felt it necessary to show me again. Or something. I'll never know what goes on in that head of his.

Crenu didn't stray far from the center, he pretty much just sat outside the front doors and walked the block a few times. The city was vast and as night grew more prominent the city got even brighter. The radio tower stuck out the most with it's bright shining bulb that hung like an orb high above the rest of the city lights. When he was finaly to bored to wait he decided to check on his pokemon's condition. Walking into the center as calmly as before Nurse Joy was already waiting at the counter with a try of pokeballs. "How are my pokemon?"

"Well they're fine, but they are still pretty worne out. They must have gone through quite a battle." Despite the posetive diagnosis, Nurse Joy didn't seem happy at all, infact she seemed a little troubled. "You probably shouldn't take them yet. They still need to rest."

"Are they healthy? Are my pokemon wounded in some way?" Crenu asked with a stone glare as he walked closer to the counter. "Are they fit to work, or is fatigue the only thing stopping them?"

"Well no...they are fine. I have treated their wounds and they should be fine after some rest. If you take them out now and put them through any stressful battling or training, then their wounds won't heal and they might develope serious injury!" She was mad at this point, but her voice seemed more sad than anything. Was this trainer really going to ignor her warning? Surely he could not be so heartless as to force them to work without a good nights rest, would he?

Crenu stared at Nurse Joy, but suddenly smiled weakly. "Can't have then now can we? I need them in their top form." He turned and sighed, walking over to the all to familiar couch near the entrance of the pokecenter. This was was a little further from the door than the last one, but it was the same couch none the less. Sitting down in it he leaned back and grinned. "I guess I'll be spending the night then Nurse. Heh, wonder where Ky is? I know I was on bike, but he can't be that far behind."

Flareon seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time yet again, as this time it was subjected to a mouthful of mud thanks to Levi's well-aimed attack. It continually retreated backwards, pawing at its face and trying to clear its vision. "Flareon!" Salt and Pepper barked, snapping his fingers. "Never mind that! You must fight back! Use your Ember attack on that Kangaskhan, now!"

With one final shake of its head, the Flareon turned to face Moeder, and let out a sharp "Flare!" before opening its mouth and sending out a cluster of small flames at the larger Pokemon. Moeder let out a cry, staggering backwards as the flames licked at her ruddy skin, and when it was over her skin was red and blistered, indicating that she had been burned by the attack. "Moeder!" Keegan shouted, now wishing he had bothered to buy medicine instead of wasting all his money on those TMs. "Go, hit that Wartortle with your Brick Break!" Growling and forcing herself not to show any weakness, Moeder charged forward again, her fists ready to pound down on her enemy. There was no way the Wartortle would be able to stand the heavy hits much longer.
=====
"Sparkle! Wake up!" Miharu shouted fearfully, clapping her hands in hopes of rousing the sleeping Mareep. It wasn't to be the case though, as the electric sheep continued to doze, snoring lightly. Should I recall her? Miharu thought, wondering if it would be a good idea to switch out for another Pokemon instead.

"Okay Clefairy, we've got a second chance here! Use your Pound attack!" Jessica called, but frowned as she watched her fairy Pokemon struggle to take even a single step forward. "This could take a while," the thrainer mumbled, scratching her head.

Miharu only nodded, and looked to Sparkle again. "Come on, Sparkle! Please wake up!" The small girl sighed, knowing that at the very least, sleep would wear off and Sparkle could resume fighting, while the paralysis would have to be cured through medicine or a trip to the Pokemon Center. "Please!"

"Follow up Flareon with a Bite attack," Baldy shouted, pointing first to his Wartortle and then to Moeder the Kangaskhan. The Turtle Pokemon peeked out from its shell and had a quick look around before it got to its feet and ran forward. Moeder's powerful fists found their target again, this time landing two solid blows to the chest. Even though Wartortle was protected by a thick shell, it still felt the force of the hits. Its ears wiggled a little as it lunged forward, attempting to bite the arm of the Pokemon that had just attacked it.

It took Kasiya a moment or two to realize that Moeder was being double-teamed by the Flareon and Wartortle at the same time, and for what seemed like an eternity, she just stood there, trying to think of some way to help her friend's Pokemon. "Levi... uh..." she mumbled, unable to come up with anything helpful. Levi's Leftovers restored a bit of her health, and the Marshtomp looked up at her trainer, desperately awaiting an order. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, Levi dashed forward, turning her attention to the distracted Flareon once again and shooting out a fairly powerful Water Gun at the Fire-type. Upon seeing Levi attack, Kasiya snapped out of her trance-like state and shook her head. It was very unlike her to lose her head during a battle like that.

=-=-=-=-=

Noticeably weakened now, the Poochyena was having trouble retaining its footing. On the Rocket's command, the tired little canine charged forward and jumped up, attempting to land a bite attack on Beldum. The attack did connect, and due to all the previous damage Beldum had racked up thanks to the recoil from its Take Down attack, it was looking fairly weak. However, at that point, the Steel/Psychic-type began to glow, and suddenly its health was healed fully by the Sitrus Berry Jaeshan had given it to hold onto earlier. Jaeshan laughed out loud - he'd forgotten that he'd given one to almost all of his Pokemon to hang onto. Without being told, the now somewhat-feisty Beldum flew forward again, this time aiming for the Poochyena. It scored a direct hit, and just like that the Dark-type was knocked out, giving Beldum its second victory in only an hour. "Nice job, Beldum!" Jaeshan shouted proudly. Now this was progress!

Meanwhile, the Zubat had taken the opportunity to fly at Combusken and land a fairly solid Wing Attack, leaving the Young Fowl Pokemon looking pretty tired. However, she soon began to glow with a bright, fiery orange aura, indicating that her Blaze ability had kicked in. Jaeshan had given her a Sitrus Berry to hold onto as well, but Combusken had chosen not to eat it as of yet. She didn't wait for Jaeshan to issue a command as she opened her beak and let out a powerful Ember attack, boosted thanks to her handy ability. The attack was indeed effective as it caused the Zubat to fly around haphazardly, screeching at the top of its voice.

"Enough games, kid! I'm getting serious now!" the Rocket shouted, and threw a third Pokeball into the battlefield while recalling his fallen Poochyena. Jaeshan recognized this Pokemon as well; it was a Vigoroth.

Levi's Water Gun was right on the mark yet again, and three super-effective hits later, Flareon was down for the count. Cursing under his breath, Salt and Pepper recalled the fallen fox and glared at the Marshtomp for a second before his face broke out into a wicked grin. "Looks like we underestimated you lot," he chuckled, holding up a second Pokeball for all to see. It was black with red decorating it, and if anything it looked more like it was built to be fancy rather than more effective. "It's time for us to get serious!" With a flick of his wrist, the black ball spun onto the field, revealing a red Pokemon with black spots decorating its outer shell - a Ledian.

Keegan's eyes had widened at the sight of the special ball - he'd seen a few just like it in his time, brought in only by the more well-off customers looking to commission Pokemon for his parents to breed. "That's a Luxury Ball," he muttered to Kasiya. "They are very expensive."

"That's right," Salt and Pepper chuckled, clicking his tongue. "I like to enjoy the finer things in life, so why shouldn't my Pokemon? Ledian, Supersonic attack. Confuse that mighty beastie, would you please?" Nodding quickly, the Ledian flew up and spun around in the air a few times, before emitting a loud, high-pitched noise that seemed to puncture every eardrum in range. Moeder clasped her hands over her ears in an attempt to block out the sound, her teeth clenched tightly in agony.

"Moeder!" Keegan yelled, even as the sound died away and the sudden silence that followed was just as deafening, "hang in there, girl! Dizzy Punch attack!" He didn't care which opposing Pokemon Moeder attacked, so long as she hit one of them. He felt his heart sink so low into his stomach that he thought that perhaps he might vomit - in her confusion, Moeder had eyed Levi, and was now charging towards her own teammate.
=====
It would be several more rounds before the stalemate would come to an end, as Jessica and her Clefairy were plagued by bad luck and immobility due to paralysis, and Sparkle continued to sleep quite happily. Suddenly she sprang to her feet, looking as though she had been awake for hours, and bleated happily, eager to continue the fight. "Well, whatever works..." Miharu sighed, rubbing her temples with her fingers. "Thundershock attack, one more time! You can do this!"

Summoning up all her power, the small Mareep let the attack fly, bleating with delight as she was able to hit her target. This brought the Clefairy down to its knees, and Jessica knew her Pokemon could no longer go on. "She has a lot of potential," the trainer smiled, holding up the Clefairy's Pokeball and recalling it. "She has to be some kind of tough to get past my Clefairy." She was still smiling as she prepared to send out her second Pokeball. "Keep this up and you'll be battling with Whitney in no time!" She tossed her Pokeball, and from it came an adorable little bear Pokemon that Miharu had only read about in books - Teddiursa.

Kasiya felt a little bit relieved when the Flareon fell, although it didn't help the fact that she still dreamed of someday having every single Eevee evolution possibility by her side (including new ones that were still to be discovered. Kasiya often found herself wondering what other types Eevee could evolve into - she imagined a Grass-type, with a leafy tail and ears, or maybe something a little more exotic, like a Poison or Ice-type). She often thought of Ariel, remembering just how cute she had been as an Eevee and how nice it would be to raise others, especially if they were Ariel's children.

However, Kasiya's current thoughts were not about possible new Eevee forms, but instead were centered around the battle. She looked up at the Ledian as it entered the battlefield, trying to remember if she had ever battled one before. Almost right away it began to screech horribly, with the noise centered on Moeder. Kasiya watched with a sickening sensation as the Kangaskhan lost her sense of reality and came charging towards Levi, a crazed look in her eye while swinging her arms wildly. "Levi! Get out of there!" Kasiya cried, resisting the urge to run in there and push Leviathan out of harm's way. However, the little Marshtomp stood her ground, putting her front fins on her hips and glaring up at Moeder. She reared back and fired a Water Gun right for the frenzied Pokemon's face.

Meanwhile, the Wartortle decided to take this moment to relax, as it Withdrew into its shell under Baldy's orders. Staying defensive at this point seemed like a really good idea.

=-=-=-=-=

Seeing her new opponent materialize before her, Combusken chose this moment to eat her own Sitrus Berry. Feeling rejuvenated, the Fighting-type took up a battle stance and glared at the Vigoroth, practically daring it to attack. Meanwhile, Beldum had decided to try and go for another knockout, as it and the Zubat were now clashing in midair. No attacks were actually being landed, but the two were zipping around up there at pretty impressive speeds.

"Vigoroth, attack that thing with your Fury Swipes!" the Rocket yelled. With an amazing display of speed, the Vigoroth shot forward, getting in Combusken's face in record time. It slashed at her repeatedly, causing her to wince with pain. A newfound fire seemed to light up in her eyes however, and she took a step back before bringing her foot down hard on the ground. Rocks began to rain down from the ceiling, smashing into both the Zubat and Vigoroth. Beldum somehow avoided the chaos, but saw that its opponent had been weakened severely and decided to finish it off with one final Take Down.

Jaeshan stared with wide eyes, having only ever heard about the attack he'd just seen. "Combusken... you know Rock Slide?" he asked, to which Combusken only winked and nodded.

For a moment, things were looking really bad. Moeder was just about to clobber little Levi, when suddenly a cold blast of water to her face snapped her out of it. Shaking her head, the Kangaskhan let out a roar and turned to face her opponents instead, feeling the rage building up inside her. They had almost made her hurt her baby! Another earth-shaking roar was loosed from her throat as she turned her sights on the Wartortle, rearing back and letting the Dizzy Punch fly at the Wartortle instead.

Keegan watched Moeder with keen interest, realizing that her anger was fueled by the fact that Levi had been threatened. "Nice," he commented, also a little proud that Levi had stood her ground against the much larger Pokemon and not even flinched. He knew he would have probably wet his pants and ran, and not necessarily in that order, either. He was man enough to admit it.

Salt and Pepper also seemed to be impressed by the fact that both of the kids' first Pokemon were still standing, and able to go on. This would change soon, though. "Okay Ledian, Comet Punch! Marshtomp, now!" His voice was still firm and calm, which made Keegan trust him even less, if it was at all possible. The Five Star Pokemon zipped down towards Levi, letting all its arms fly as it tried to land as many punches as possbile.
=====
Miharu felt her heart skip a little at the sight of the little bear; she had always wanted a Teddiursa of her own. Perhaps later she would journey to find one, but for now, it was time to defeat this one. She knew Sparkle was probably starting to get tired, even though the Mareep had no plans to show it. She bleated happily before looking over at her shoulder for Miharu to give her a command. "Thundershock," the green-haired girl said simply, realizing there wasn't much else she could tell the sheep to do at this point. She let the static build up in her body for a moment or two before it was launched forward, engulfing the little bear in a blanket of crackling electricity. The Teddiursa shook it off though, and brought its paw to its mouth, round little ears twitching intently.

"Teddiursa, use your Scratch attack!" Jessica called out, which made the small Pokemon's ears twitch again. It dropped both paws to its sides and ran forward, swinging its left arm sharply when it neared Sparkle to land a good hit. Sparkle whimpered a bit and backed off, her tail swaying back and forth to show she had no intentions of giving up just yet.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 03, 2008 11:14 am

Kasiya couldn't express just how thankful she was that Levi was so stubborn and thick-headed, seeing as the clever Marshtomp had averted the crisis and managed to turn the Kangaskhan's attention back towards the Wartortle. The Turtle didn't even see the attack coming as Moeder sent it spiraling back towards Baldy, who had to move in order to avoid being slammed by his own Pokemon. The Wartortle came to rest up against a tree, unable to continue fighting. The Ledian had sped towards Levi, pretty much at the same time this was going on and landed five consecutive punches, causing the usually quiet Marshtomp to cry out in pain. Kasiya sighed, knowing that Leviathan had done her best, and recalled her, clutching the Pokeball to her chest. Both she and Baldy selected their next Pokemon at the same time: Baldy sent out a crescent-shaped Pokemon, hovering just above the ground while Kasiya signaled to Adamantine to get ready. The Larvitar dashed over from where she had been resting next to Seto and took her stance in front of Kasiya, looking eagerly towards the Pokemon in front of her. She was ready!

Kasiya, on the other hand, wasn't quite so ready as she took her PokeDex from her pocket and scanned over the strange Pokemon. It was a Lunatone, a dual Rock/Psychic-type, but Kasiya thought it looked like it belonged on a wall rather than out on the battlefield. Snickering a bit, she looked to Ada. "Okay girl, it's been a while so I hope you're not rusty! Use your Ancientpower on that Ledian!"

Clapping her little hands together, Ada seemed to laugh as she stomped on the ground, causing rocks to float up from the ground beneath the Ledian. Kasiya looked on impatiently, but frowned when the attack did not give Ada a stat boost.

Baldy frowned at the Larvitar before turning to his Lunatone. "Cosmic Power," he told it, and it began to spin rapidly on the spot, spinning faster and faster before it came to a stop, glowing with a silvery aura to show that its defenses had been given a boost.

=-=-=-=-=

So now it was down to Beldum and Combusken versus Vigoroth, and this time Jaeshan could tell that their opponent was a lot more experienced. "Beldum, Take Down! Combusken, cover Beldum!" he shouted, watching his two Pokemon start to get to work. Combusken dashed forward, trying to get the Vigoroth to focus on her so it would leave an opening for Beldum to attack. The tactic worked perfectly, except Jaeshan didn't anticipate the powerful Slash attack that would be used to counter the two. Combusken took the full force of the hit and toppled easily, two long, parallel cuts running down her belly. Beldum managed to hit the Vigoroth in the back of the head with a Take Down, and even though the type match-up gave Beldum an advantage, the level difference more than made up for it. In one fell swoop both Combusken and Beldum were defeated, and Jaeshan held up two Pokeballs and recalled them simultaneously. His expression was blank, and Butterfree continued to watch from behind her trainer as he pulled out another Pokeball and threw it. Shelgon appeared in a flash of light, giving her opponent an icy glare.

Jaeshan knew the Vigoroth was fast, and it would be troublesome. He had to slow it down in order to buy more time. "Rock Tomb," he told the dragon calmly, looking over his shoulder to see if anyone had entered the cavern yet. The Vigoroth, easily faster than Shelgon raced forward and attempted to attack with Fury Swipes, but Shelgon's thick hide blocked out most of the damage. Stomping down with her forelegs, the dragon then forced small spires of rock from the ground, effectively caging the Vigoroth in a stony prison. Small cuts appeared on its legs, indicating that it had been hurt by the attack, and that it would be slowed up a bit as a result. Jaeshan sighed, hoping to get this ordeal over with as soon as possible.

Keegan couldn't help but feel bad when he saw Levi fall, but he also knew it meant bad news for the Ledian. Seeing her precious baby subjected to the hits made the Kangaskhan nearly fly off the handle. Keegan cleared his throat loudly, and called out to her. "Moeder, forget that overgrown ladybug! Let Ada handle that one, you focus on that wall ornament over there," he said, mirroring Kasiya's thoughts on the fact that Lunatone (and its counterpart, Solrock) both belonged on the wall as decorative accessories. Moeder looked towards Keegan and nodded slowly, quickly turning her sights on the moon-shaped Pokemon. On Keegan's command, she ran forward and spun around, attempting to hit the Lunatone with her newly learned Iron Tail.

Ada's Ancientpower turned out to be most effective against Ledian, and Salt and Pepper was starting to look angry now. "You certainly are tougher than I though. Silver Wind!" he shouted, his voice losing that cool edge it had held earlier. Ledian began to rapidly flap its wings and send a silvery, glowing wind in Ada's direction. Silver Wind also had the potential to give a stat boost to the user, but it didn't turn out to be the case this time around.
=====
This time, Miharu called for a Tackle, which was promptly delivered by the eager Mareep. It had an unexpected effect though, as the Teddiursa than sat down on the ground and began to cry loudly. Big tears rolled down its cheeks and it kept trying to suck on its paws, only it was crying too hard. Sparkle's tail drooped a little at the sight of her opponent bursting into tears and trotted forward, obviously concerned for her fellow Pokemon. Miharu could see right through its ploy, however. "Sparkle no! It's using Fake Tears to get your guard down!" she cried, but it was too late. As soon as Sparkle had looked towards Miharu, however, the Teddiursa then lashed out with a quick set of slashes - Fury Swipes. With one last cry Sparkle collapsed onto her belly, unable to keep fighting.

Miharu just shook her head and recalled the fallen Mareep. "Nice trick," she commented, deciding to remember that tactic for when she had a Teddiursa of her own. She then reached for the Park Ball attached firmly to her belt and smiled as she held it up. "But I've got a few tricks of my own." She let the Pokeball fly, revealing her prize-winning capture of only a few hours ago - her Pinsir. Now officially named Petunia (yes, Miharu's choice of names was a little out there), the large beetle looked down at the puny teddy bear and growled, strange clicking noises coming from its maw. The Teddiursa was obviously frightened of this large bug and took a few steps back, wide eyed and once again licking a paw.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:01 pm

Lunatone weren't really known for their speed, and the force of Moeder's Iron Tail was enough to send it crashing into the ground. It did manage to get back up though, and resume floating, except now its expressionless face was staring at the Kangaskhan. "Take it OUT!" Baldy practically roared, thrusting a finger in Moeder's direction. Lunatone began to spin again, but this time when it stopped a peculiar ray of energy was sent off in Moeder's direction - a Psywave.

Ada could do nothing to avoid the oncoming blast of silvery wind, so she closed her eyes and hunkered down, not uttering a sound even as a stinging sensation seemed to cover her entire body at once. The cheeky Larvitar then opened her eyes and proceeded to waggle her butt at the Ledian, taunting it as if to say 'is that the best you can do?' Grinning at Ada's antics, Kasiya looked at the two opposing Pokemon carefully. "Okay Ada, let's try that Ancientpower one more time," she said, nodding. For a moment Ada hesitated, but then closed her eyes. Her small body soon became engulfed in a strange, black aura. The young Larvitar then opened her eyes and stomped a foot, and like a cloud of ink underwater, the aura shot off in a blackened sphere towards the Lunatone. Kasiya blinked at the sight of it, not remembering seeing anything like that in Ada's move list. "What was that?" she asked, hoping that someone could come up with an answer.

=-=-=-=-=

The Vigoroth then threw a terrible tantrum within the walls of its makeshift prison, throwing itself against the sides and eventually breaking its way out. It didn't seem to be the smartest of Pokemon, however, as it then charged at Shelgon again and attempted another Fury Swipes. Shelgon didn't flinch from it, as her hard shell was doing a great job of protecting her. "Shelgon, now use Dragonbreath!" Jaeshan called, and Shelgon was amazed she could hear her trainer over the Vigoroth's frenzied screeching. Taking a deep breath, the dragon then exhaled a stream of bluish energy that quite resembled a Flamethrower. Vigoroth had nowhere to go as it had been standing right in front of Shelgon, which meant it took a direct hit from the energy. Jaeshan had hoped that Paralysis would set in as a secondary effect, but it didn't happen. He sighed, and looked over his shoulder once again - at last! He could see lights bouncing off of the walls, indicating that the guards had started to catch up.

"Over here!" he shouted, nodding to Butterfree to get into position in case the Rocket were to try and make another run for it. The Vigoroth tried to attack again, this time using Slash instead of Fury Swipes. Again Shelgon shrugged it off, and this time countered with an Ember attack.

He figured that, if anything, Lairon would be the victor in this battle. With handy resistances to almost every single one of Weezing's attacks, winning would be a cinch. Kilik wasn't going to be mean enough to have his Poison-type attack with a super effective Flamethrower. Even he knew it wouldn't be very fair. Fair or not, Lairon was fighting with a handicap. Before every attack, he had to jump into the air and hope that he had enough momentum to hit Weezing full force. He never did but what he did hit him with was hard enough to deal some significant damage.

Kilik looked to the skies, wondering where his Flygon had run off to. It had been at least twenty minutes since she disappeared. The trainer paced back and forth while he hummed quietly to himself. Occasionally he could command Weezing with something weak or ineffective like a Tackle or Sludge but at this point, he wasn't paying too much attention to the battle. He figured the two Pokemon would battle until they were tired enough to stop for a break. Weezing was crying full out now. Acidic tears streamed down what you could call his 'cheeks' and he bobbed up and down in a bit of a tantrum. At this point, he would've welcomed Kilik to call for an Explosion or something. Anything to make Lairon stop hitting him so much.

The behemoth had a different plan. Instead of stopping like Weezing pleaded, Lairon felt that attacking more and more often would be the best plan of action. He roared loudly and jumped into the air with another Tackle, slamming his full weight into the Gas Pokemon. When the armor plated beast landed, there was a small tremor. Weezing screamed loudly, almost like a little girl would, and hit a tree so hard that it splintered. That was it. All gloves (if he wore any) were off. His eyes narrowed and, for the first time in history, Weezing was angry. Steam, not fumes, billowed out of his holes and his cheeks began to glow red. He unleashed a huge stream of fire, crying out in his Flamethrower. Lairon almost attempted to get out of the way, but his foe was at such close range that escape was nearly impossible. He braced himself and took the fire straight to his forehead.

Kilik stopped pacing and turned to the battle. "NO!" He cried out, "Weezing, stop!"

Keegan knew what Psywave was, but he couldn't remember the specifics about it. As the energy drew nearer to Moeder, it seemed to intensify, and upon impact, knocked the Kangaskhan off of her feet. For a moment Keegan couldn't believe that she had been defeated, but after a second or so he held up the Safari Ball to recall her. "Rest up, you deserve it," he said quietly, clipping it back into place on his belt. It was then he saw the dark wave of energy created by Adamantine, and he too just stared, very curious as to what kind of attack that was - he had never seen it before. The darkness snaked out and struck Lunatone, and judging by its shriek of pain was super-effective. Keegan looked to Kasiya and shrugged. "I dunno, but it seemed to be quite effective," he said before turning to look at the rest of his Pokemon. "Themis," he said, nodding towards the electric type. The Manectric jumped to his feet, and quickly joined Ada on the battlefield. Keegan decided to waste no time in starting to attack, so he pointed at Lunatone. "Thunderbolt, now!" Very happy to finally have some action, the lean Manectric let a large amount of electricity build up within his body before he launched it at the moon-shaped Pokemon, howling loudly as he felt the energy crackle off him.

Salt and Pepper surveyed the Manectric for a moment before sighing. "Ledian, Silver Wind again! Same target," he said, tone of voice now significantly angrier than before. Once again Ledian created the blast of silvery wind, directed at the little Larvitar. The Five Star Pokemon's stats did not increse, either, much to Salt and Pepper's dismay.

"Vicegrip!" Miharu shouted, hoping to wrap things up now that she had her Pinsir on the field. Snapping her pincers dangerously, the beetle rushed forward, grabbing a hold of the little bear and giving it a squeeze. The Teddiursa cried out from the pressure before it reached down with its two paws, landing several very strong Fury Swipes to the top of the Pinsir's head. This caused Petunia to let go of Teddiursa, and soon both Pokemon were back where they started.

Once again Ada had to brace herself, this time finding the Silver Wind a little more difficult to bear. She took a deep breath and glared up at the horrible bug, wishing it would stop being so incredibly mean! She puffed out her cheeks and chest a little, trying to make herself look bigger and more intimidating. "Rock Slide!" Kasiya shouted this time, remembering well that Rock-type moves were very effective against Flying/Bug-types, and would still deal normal damage to a Rock-type Pokemon. Ada thrust both her hands into the earth, and tore up a massive chunk. With incredible strength, the small Larvitar then hurled it up into the air above their opponents, where it broke apart and began to fall in pieces onto the opposing Pokemon. "That's my girl," Kasiya said proudly.

Lunatone closed its eyes and tried to ignore the large rocks that were now pounding it on the head, as well as the massive Thunderbolt that had just taken. Turning to look at the offending Pokemon angrily, it began to spin again, releasing a teal aura that engulfed Ada and gave her a bit of a toss backwards - a Confusion attack, as ordered by Baldy. I hate Psychic-type Pokemon, Kasiya thought, remembering just how Seto had been tossed around by Nina's own Psychic Pokemon.

Shelgon had managed to render the Vigoroth unable to battle by the time the guards caught up, and thanks to a well-aimed String Shot from Butterfree, the Rocket had been unable to escape. Lead by a police Growlithe and several officers, Jaeshan had recalled his Pokemon and was about to follow after them when he saw the parcel the Rocket had dropped on the ground. He picked it up and followed the officers out of the tunnel and back into the sunlight. "Hey, I found this," he said, holding it out for the guards to see.

One of them studied it carefully and then nodded at Jaeshan. "That's an important parcel that was supposed to be delivered to the president of the Devon Corporation, Mr Stone. We should get it back to him."

"I can take it back," Jaeshan said quickly, without meaning to. Visiting the Devon Corp was something he'd never really wanted to do, but it was too late now as the officer clapped him on the shoulder and gave him the go ahead. I wonder what this could be? the reluctant hero thought, turning it over in his hands a few times as he began the trek back to Rustboro City.
