Ryou's head snapped up, furious at the statement. He gently laid a hand on Yugi's shoulder before looking at Kaiba.
"How could you? You don't understand what that pyramid meant. We b-buried it with a close friend, closest to Yugi-kun..." he spoke softly, solemnly. It had been hard to say the word buried.

"I can say whatever I please, pup. It will take far more than a few angry shouts to stop me." Besides, this was finally getting interesting. He was Seto Kaiba and he always got what he wanted. Now, he wanted some answers. What the hell was going on? They were so defensive about an accessory.
"What friend? As far as I can see, your whole group is here."

Anzu looked down at the table, biting her lip. She started sobbing quietly, trying her hardest to hold it in. Jounouchi looked at Anzu then glared murder at Kaiba, "A cold-hearted b*****d like you shouldn't even care..." he said, anger burning out of his eyes.

Yuugi looked to Anzu, when she started crying, and a rare bit of anger welled up in him. He stood up, facing Seto, fists clenched. "If you don't care, then you have no reason to be here, do you?" Last time he was in such a position, it was Atemu, not himself, who had been speaking.... and that just made everything worse.
Suddenly, Yuugi couldn't take it anymore. He stormed out, past Seto without another word.
He couldn't be in that room where everywhere he looked just drove in what he had lost, not so soon. He just needed to be alone... The whole time since he had come back, his friends had been beside him. He was greatful- he needed their support. But at the same time, it left him with little chance to come to terms with this himself....
((Hope I'm not playing Yuugi badly. ^^;; But it can't be easy to loose part of your soul, ne? XP Imagine what that kinda stress does to a person.))

Jounouchi blinked in surprise as Yuugi stormed out, "Yu-yuugi..." he said worriedly, shooting a glare towards Kaiba before running out after Yuugi, "Hey, Yuugi wait! Are you okay?" Sure, Yuugi wanted to be alone, but Jounouchi wasn't the type of person who noticed that too easily.
Anzu watched the two leave, trying to hold her tears back, "Yuugi..." he said biting her lip.

Ryou merely cocked his head to the side. He wouldn't like it any more if they started rubbing it in his face about his Yami's chronic evilness. Which was rather endearing if you asked him.
"Kaiba Seto, perhaps you should leave. Immediately, before you cause more grief than you have. I am going to say this once, because Yuugi-kun isn't here to hear it. The friend we lost was your greatest rival, not Yuugi-kun," he explained patiently before grabbing his bag and walking out the door.
That was enough talking for a couple weeks he supposed.
(I know Ryou seems really OOC, but I intended it that way. Even though he's gotten much quieter since the Ceremonial Duel, he's also gotten a bit of backbone, rarely shows it, but eh. Malik can pick up the pieces.)

(Sorry I havent posted lately...^^')
Malik blinked watching thewhole senario fold out in front of him. The Egyptian stood silently, feeling his own eybrows quirk at Yuugi's sudden tone in his voice; Malik could easily sense bitterness dripping from the usually cheerful teen, and it was akward to say the least to be standing there. He wasn't wanted in the first place... and he knew that, too.
'I just came in here to say hello... Perhaps I should just leave.' he thought, about to excuse himself for good when the ex-Pharoah's light stormed from the resturaunt. Startled, Malik stepped aside to give him room, his lilac orbs following the hastily walking teen. No sooner than that did Jou follow, then more tears by Anzu.
This was chaotic... Next thing the Ishtar knew, Ryou had patiently explained the reason for everyone's depressed mood, and he too walked past Malik.
'What am I, ******** invisible?' he thought, a bit frustrated. Before anyone else ignored his existence, which he was used to though, the jaded Egyptian had made his way out the door to see with narrowed eyes Yuugi, Jou, and Ryou. Debating wheter or not he should stay, Malik cuatiously walked past the group. If they wanted him to stay, then they would say something.

Yuugi tried to ignore Jounouchi calling his name, hoping it wouldn't upset him... but he heard the blond running up behind him and sighed. "Jounouchi..." He swallowed, realizing his voice was shaking. "Please, I just want to be alone right now... I'm sorry..." Yuugi couldn't turn to look at his friend- he didn't want Jounouchi to see the tears in his eyes. He was worreid enough as it was. "I just need a little time. Please apologize to everyone for me...."
Before his friend could reply, Yuugi started off again, wanting to run and hide, just get away from everything.

Seto scoffed at the explanation given to him, leaving as well. He placed a call to his secretary, informing her that he would not be returning for longer than expected. He wanted to go over the events he had just been part of.
The blue eyed duelist took a walk to the park, finding a deserted area to sit down and sort through the information. Apparently everyone was still going on about the other soul that dwelled in Yuugi. But burying the thing that housed it? That wouldn't have killed a soul. It was too simple. So something else must have occured. "But what?" he mused aloud to himself.
That jolted him out of his thoughts. Did he just admit that there was another soul in Yuugi? Oh god, the stress of work must have really taken a toll on the young CEO. Still... it would explain why everyone was particularly downcast. Maybe it wasn't too insane of a concept for two souls to share a body.
He groaned, rubbing his temples to ward off an impending headache. This was too much to take in at once. He'd just file this away for later analyzing. The point of leaving the office was to relax. And that's just what he did.
(That just took me forever to write and I'm still not quite satisfied with it. If it's too off/OOC/whatever, sorry. ^^; )

"Yuugi..." Jounouchi said, watching Yuugi leave sadly. He gave an understanding nod, even though Yuugi wouldn't be able to see it. He then turned to Bakura and sighed, "Yuugi wants to be alone now."
Anzu had followed Malik out of the restaurant, walking quietly and holding her hands to her heart. She looked up, "Then we should let him be alone..." she said, as much as it went against her instincts as his friend she knew it was for the best.
Jounouchi looked over at Malik, "Sorry about that... things have been hard ever since... well anyway, are you going to be hanging out with us for a while?"

Yuugi walked aimlessly. He wasn't sure where he was going, just... just somewhere he could be alone. Not home, not yet... he couldn't talk to Jii-chan.
Denied the privacy of his room, Yuugi decided on the next best thing- the quiet peace of the park. Perhaps not on the main path, but deep into the trees, where no one else went... there he could be alone.
With a destination now in mind, Yuugi turned the proper direction and started walking.
It seemed no time before he was in the park, heading to the more forested area.
((Have Seto see him if you wish. I was planning him going there already so I really don't care either way. XD))

Seto was a light sleeper and had particularly good hearing, so it wasn't a big surprise he heard Yuugi's light, if dragging, step. Normally he'd just let the boy pass through without a second thought, but his mind had its own plans. The whole affair at the restaurant was still bothering him, not to mention his own admittance that maybe he was wrong.
With both reasons encouraging him, he stood up and leaned on a tree along the path, ready to intercept and interogate the young duelist. He wanted answers.
