Akiko turned even redder at the remark. So he was actually admitting she had been strange...and scared...and about to totally give up...
She almost felt angry at Sora before she realized that it was probably *half* as awkward for him as it was for her.
She turned back to Kiante, trying to wash her hands of the whole affair. "Mm-hm," was all she could manage for a while, and then, in a desperate attempt to save face, added in a flurry while turning back to the group, "it's not like--like I tried to attack anybody or anything!"
Mickey dropped the chain and froze.
Immediately Akiko knew she'd said the wrong thing. Oh, how stupid, stupid, stupid!
"But...but nobody tried to attack anybody. The demon tried to attack people. That's all" was Akiko's lame cover-up.
She hadn't seen the whole affair with Kiante's demon dilemma, so she was pretty sure she'd been the only one who hadn't directed their darkness at someone else, but rather...themselves. The only one who'd been just about to give up. And as idealistic as she tried to be, she knew that what she'd done was pretty stupid compared to what Mickey might have done.
She shivered, thinking how close she'd been to grabbing one of Mika's cards or something...anything nearby...
No no no. Back to business. She swung her staff a few times to get back in the mood and tried her best to forget the past ten minutes.

Mickey threw the chain down and walked out of the room, leaving Akiko incredibly guilty.

Sora: Sora's mouth opened for moment when he heard the metallic clatter behind him. He turned to see the King leaving the room rather hurriedly. He looked from Him to Akiko, torn between who to worries about more before, half shouting, "Your majesty wait!" as he hurrying after him. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Zolx watched the whole exchange with much interest, though he looked slightly relieved when the King left the room. After a good minute or so before saying. "More than one attack someone I suppose."

"Maybe..." Akiko said with a sigh. Then she was back in happy mode.
"But that doesn't matter right now," she said with a somewhat fake smile. "Mika saved our butts, the demon died with a big puny blast of ineffective darkness, and we're all okay. No biggie, right?"
She really didn't want to talk about it anymore. She knew she wouldn't be able to think about any of this without a giant grimace and sigh for weeks.
Akiko plopped down again despondently, and absently conjured up a bit of lightning, making sure it didn't come into contact with anything.

Mickey stopped in the hall at Sora's call, realizing what a melodramatic thing he'd just done.
What was it? Why couldn't they all just leave the stupid thing behind? Now emotions were running amok and there was tension where there had only been carefree idleness and camaraderie.
He turned to Sora rather shamefacedly and said, "Sorry bout that. Had to get some fresh air you know...it was a bit crowded in there..."

He thought for moment, "We all do things we regret, but we can't just let that keep us down. Remember? No Sad Faces!"
He wagged his finger while mimicking Donald.

Mickey looked at Sora, smiling wryly. He'd known he couldn't escape.
"You're right, Sora. It was nothing, really." He nodded with a big grin. "I'm over it. Okay? It was just a silly little thing."
But he didn't really want to go back in the room after that huffy exit. It would be a bit unbearable.
"Besides, I know Akiko didn't mean anything. It wasn't that she said it really that bothered me...anyway, she does seem to hold on to things longer than is healthy for her. But then..." and here he laughed a little in spite of himself... "I knew someone like that, until a certain someone talked some sense into him."

Mika looked back and forth between everything that was happening, silent in her musings. If things didn't get out into the air soon, tempers were going to erupt and the ragtag group was going to end up splitting apart. Doing that sort of thing usually din't help when trying to defeat an ultimate evil.
"I feel the need to retire. Besure to rest up before we reach our destination Akiko. Go easy on her Kiante."

Akiko jumped up immediately at Mika's remark. "I just rested a whole bunch, Mika. I'm fine. No need to go easy on me, Kiante." She smiled and hit him on the ear with her staff. "Nighty-night, Mika-chan!" she called.

Mickey laughed at the classic Sora-ness.
"Never mind," he said, realizing it wouldn't help at all. "I'm going up to the front to check on where we are. See ya."
And he did just that.

((I will get better about posting i promise. Spring break is ending and I haven't done my homework(I'm doing it right now and i need to show proof of an improved grade to my parents. Is everyone in a general area right now?))

Sora smiled, "Well it looks like it's gonna be a while before we have to get off so I'm gonna get some rest. Might be a good idea for you to incase get into trouble when we get there."
Sora grinned again had headed for his room.
