Opening her new scroll, Mitsuko signed her name in blood. She was gonna have to master this on her own. Non of her senseis knew how to do this. The creature she was supposed to summon is a eagle called Raikiz, but there was no telling how it's gonna come out looking like.
Doing the complex sequence of handseals, Mitsuko placed her hand on the floor. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!!!" A seal spread instantly on the floor and a puff of white smoke appeared.
"Tweet tweeeeeet!" A very cute eaglet appeared. It had very nice downy feathers and flopped around the floor. Not wishing to have another mouth to feed, Mitsuko made the tiger handseal and cried:"release!!!"
The eaglet disappeared and Mitsuko concentrated again. What went wrong? thought Mitsuko as she looked at the scroll. That was not the great eagle Raikiz.

If the creature is strong, then there's probably more chakra involved. Mitsuko thought as she prepared to try the jutsu again. Making the handseals, Mitusko poured more chakra forward. This time, a dozen eaglets appeared, a sight that really warms your heart and pisses you off.
Opening a bowl of Ramen. Mitsuko watched as the eaglets started running around the room. The constant squeaking and tweeting was driving her crazy. Releasing the eaglets, Mitsuko kept eating.
After the meal, Mitsuko focused on creating a larger eagle. If she couldn't summon the granddaddy of all eagles, at least she can try summoning a large one to assisst her.
"Kuchiyose no jutsu!!!" A white cloud appeared and Mitsuko was face to face with a huge eaglet. The tweet it gave off sounded horrifying. Atleast it's bigger than before, thought Mitsuko miserably.

"Come forth, the great eagle Raikiz!!" A golden eagle flew out the window. Mitsukosighed and looked as the eagle brought her mail. This is really tough, she thought. Learning summons is such a pain when nobody can give you any advice.
After she read her mail, she bit her thumb and tried again. "Ninpou: Kuchiyose!!" A golden eagle popped out, this time wearing a headband. Oh great, a suicide eagle. Then the eagle began to talk.
"Well, what did you summon me for?"
"Iwanted to summon Raikiz."
"Well you're 100 years away from doing so."
"How comforting."
"I really try to help."
"Release."
The eagle went pop and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Mitsuko was bored and summoned the headband eagle again for a chat. "So, what can Raikiz do, in terms of attack.?" The eagle thought for a moment and then responded:"he spits lightning bolts and pecks. But you can probably ride on his back." Mitsuko thought about this for a couple of minutes.
"He must be quite a powerful summon, do you think he'll obey me? Do I have to settle for being his subordinate?"
The eagle smiled, if there was such thing as an eagle smiling.
" He's so bored from not being summoned that he'll probably not even ask for your name before kicking the a** of your oppositiion."
Mitsuko thought that this was kind of impossible, but it was good to here something comforting for once. If this Raikiz was really that powerful, then it would make her life much easier. She wouldn't even have to take the ship anymore. Raikiz can just fly her there.

Eagle arted eagle flew out the window as Mitsuko trained. The work and effort was working off. Each eagle she summons can talk and fly, and summon actually had a decent wingspan. The headbanded eagle said that Raikiz wore a kimono and had rings of 2 colours around his eyes. Mitsuko watched for these telltales features on her eagles.
Soon, her chakra was exhausted and Mitsuko and to take a break. Mitsuko opened a bowl of Ramen and looked back on the previous events of her life. Passing the chuunin exams, graduating the academy, training under Raiga, then Haku, Then Rouga, and then Fubuki.
She has already come pretty far, and this gave her a new insight on training. Her goal was getting closer, even if she doesn't realize it. She was going to become a jounin, and then a S-rank ninja, the kind that people look up to and acknowledge.

"NINPOU: kUCHIYOSE!!" shouted Mitsuko as she used up her last speck of chakra for the day. A golden eagle appeared. It was weraring a robe, it stood about 4 feet tall. It looked quite impressive. Mitsuko smiled. Mitsuko fainted.
"You've got mail!!!" screamed the newly summoned eagle the next morning. Mitsuko looked up to see a letter hit her face. It was from her old sensei, Shuji. Mitsuko opened a bowl of Ramen and examined the new eagle. It looked different from her previous ones. Mitsuko asked about this.
"I'm a girl!"
"really?"
"want me to prove it?"
"Not really."
The girl eagle puffed up her chest and looked real pissed. "You can't even tell between a male and a female?" Deciding not to argue with her new friend, Mitsuko asked more about Raikizu. The girl eagle sighed and murmured something about sexism, which Mitsuko ignored.

There were really no more special techniques of training she could use on the summoning technique. The only thing to do was to keep training hard. She probably wasn't even one third of the way there. Sighing softly, Mitsuko looked at the blue sky, wishing she can fly off as an eagle. Free from all the troubles of everyday life and such.
Back to the real world, thought Mitsuko as she prepared again to summon Raikizu. The eagle was proving to be elusive. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!!" shouted Mitsuko as she poured her chakra into the technique. A large golden eagle appeared, wearing a headband and wearing eye makeup. Mitsuko was curious:"You're not Raikizu, are you?"
The eagle shook its head but did not speak, perhaps it couldn't, but most likely it regarded Mitsuko as inferior. Feeling kind of put off, Mitsuko released the eagle and tried to reflect on whether she improved or not. Most likely she did.

The air was whistling through Mitsuko's hair as she flew throught the air. She wasn't dreaming. She was clinging to her summoned eagle while the poor bird was suffering from hyperventilation.
"Mitsuko, your too fat!"
"I am not!"
"Well your too heavy!"
"Shut up and keep flyiing, it's only been 30 seconds!"
"We're going down!!!"
The eagle lowered its elevation and Mitsuko landed on her feet. If she was going to ride on Raikizu's back, she might as well get a head start. Smoothing down her hair, Mitsuko gave the eagle a break by releasing it. Opening a bowl of Ramen, Mitsuko chowed down and waited for her chakra to build up. While eating, she spotted a lone eagle flying in the distance. She couldn't tell how big it was, but it didn't look like a small one. Mitsuko wondered what combination techniques she can form with Raikizu. She was probably just getting ahead of herself.

Training was taking a lot out of Mitsuko. Even though she does not actually move that much, most of her chakra is used up after only two hours of training due to her summoning technique. Like right now, Mitsuko is so drained that even standing makes her feel tired.
There was nothing she could do to prevent loss of chakra. Soldier pills strike at her wallet really hard and she wasn't really working full time. She rarely gets any missions from her sensei. Though her chakra is increasing with each passing day, Mitsuko hated the fact that she has to take a long break every few hours.

"Raikizu is big and scary looking. He wears makeup around his eyes and he hardly talks. He wears an ugly kimono and he has golden fur, or some other colour. If he doesn't like you, he spits on you and you get shocked."
Mitsuko's eyelids drooped at the constant babble the eagle was blurting out. There was too much useless information for her brain to handle. She felt like making this eagle disappear, but she was too tired to do anything at the present but get bored out of her skull.
"You're listening, right? Well, anyways, sometimes he likes salt mixed in his food, but mostly he takes in quite a bit of alcohol, but if....

The higher Mitsuko flies, the colder it is. She knew this for a fact but experiencing it was way different and a lot more extreme. Mitsuko has finally summoned an eagle big enough to hold her weight. Since exercising and training is better than dieting to lose weight, that was what she does everyday wink .
Oh, right, drop me on that ledge, commanded Mitsuko as the eagle began to tire. The view was fantastic, and the drop was deadly. If she fell off, that would be the end. Walking on the slippery slope, and brisk air made her shiver and she pulled her coat tighter around her.

She must be some kind of genius or just plain insane. The dangerous and harsh conditions on the ice path are good for making people tougher, but one wrong move and your dead. Mitsuko was almost to the top when she slipped and stepped on thin ice.
Remain calm!! thought Mitsuko as she plunged off the slope. Doing the handseals she has practiced so many times in the past week, Mitsuko spread out her palm and was temporarily covered by a white cloud of smoke.
Then she was rising, above her fear and doubts. The sheer exhilaration of flight over took her and she had to smile. Down the mountain she flew, she was out of Ramen anyways, and God knows how bad it is to eat when there's a strong wind. It, like, messes up your stomache.

Mitsuko took out a book on legendary summons and read it. She skipped to Raikizu and read it: Raikizu is the great eagle and affiliated with lightning. Summoning this creature is usually at least a jounin level feat. Though not as large as Gamabunta or Mando, Raikizu has extraordinary speed and is also very intelligent. Unlike Gamabunta or Mando, Raikizu is willing to treat the summoner as an equal.
Mitsuko shut the book and thought for a moment. The good news is that Raikizu is smart and fast. The bad news is that it requires a Jounin level of chakra to summon. There was not much more she needed to know. At least it's not kage-size, thought Mitsuko with a tinge of apprehension.

It never rains in hidden snow village. It just snows. Mitsuko cleaned the newly fallen snow off her porch and looked out into the vast field of ice. Rouga has gone to beat up some Genin, Fubuki has left on some strange mission involving her hair. Mitsuko is STILL working on Kuchiyose no jutsu. Raikizu just refuses to be summoned.
Suddenly, something flashed in the corner of her eye and Mitsuko ducked. A soccer ball flew past her head and landed in a tall tree. The tree was covered in snow so there was no telling what species it was. A little boy appeared and asked for the ball. Mitsuko was about to shout because of the ball that almost hit her head, but then she stopped.

Neoshin arrived around snow village as he was searching for a shinobi he saw in the chunin exams, knowing he must study all of the participants who passed he walked quietly around the snowy mountains and peaks and found the same girl was there before "Intresting.... this girl became a chunin at such a low chakra level, I might want to watch this one just in case..... she could soon become a common threat if I don't watch out for her excelling rate in strength..." He stayed in the shadows of the snow and took out his notebook taking notes on her and what technuiqe she was learning
