dylan told his mom that he was going out for a while and then left
not knowing where to go he just walked around for a while
thats when he ran into john
"hey wats up didnt think id see you here... so are u gonna join the band marienara's putting together?"

Marienara hadn't answered the phone so she hung up. ill try again later thats when some one knocked on the door. ill get it! Kayla called. she went over and opened the door.

Kayla answered the door. Remus was not entirely prepared for that.
"Um......uh.....h-hi. Eh....Marienara heard it was your birthday today and told me to bring you a gift. Um, my name's Remus by the way, but my friends all call me Goldy." He had fine golden hair that shone like sunshine at the top of his head. His eyes were a rich emerald green. The same colors as Kayla's new cat. He was wiry and lean and had a sense of catlike grace and fluidity about his movements. He was young, not much older then Kayla herself, perhaps just old enough to be out of high school. He seemed pretty nervous and was blushing slightly.

john turned to see dylan"hey and im not sure i might..looks really tempting..by the way know any good places for food?"he asked with a grin"im starved"

then they both started walking off laughing and talking the whole way

oh wow! i've barely known her for a week and she already knows what types of gifts to get me. Kayla took the present and looked at Remus. would you like to come in?

He smiled, and the effect made him look more catlike then he had before. It wasn't a bad thing, he was actually pretty good looking. "I'd love to come in and visit for a while. Besides, I want to see you open your present. Are you sure your mom wouldn't mind?"

yeah she always encouraging me to make new friends! Kayla let him in to the living room and told him to sit on the couch oppisite her. she took the present on her lap and opened it oh my, this looks so cool! she took one of the books and read the back cover. wow this is right up my ally! how did she know?

"Well, she's...um...." he looked like he was having a hard time finding the right words, he screwed up his face a bit in consternation before suddenly blurting out. "Smart, no, she's not smart at all, she's the stupidest person alive, it's not like she has anybody watching over you to keep you safe or anything, why would she ever do something as stupid as that?" He got up then and started heading for the door, still talking, but more to himself now then to Kayla. "See? You're so wonderful at stuff like this, that's why all of them like you, because you tell the truth when people ask you questions." He had reached the door now and was even more upset. "I couldn't say the wrong thing even if I wanted to."

oh well, can you thank her for me? and thank you so much for bringing it to me! its perfect! ill read it once im done with my current book. Kayla said walking after Remus to the door and letting him out. he was obviously nervous. maybe Marienara told him about Preston and what was it that he was mumbling about?

He looked back at her with despair before opening the door and walking back out onto the street, head down and shoulder's slumping.
