After feeling like they had been walking for hours in the cold snow Silvertail longed to go back to camp. She hated feeling like she was in a slump. The usual peppy cat had never felt like this before. Emotions were running high in the clan. And she, for some reason couldn't get the image of Rainfur's irritated face out of her head. If all this trouble was enough to get that much feeling out of Rainfur... she wondered how much more it would take before the clan literally cracked.
Silvertail felt a pang of panic and she struggled to slow her heart down as she pushed the terrible thoughts from her mind. he turned to Crystaleye and Dampfoot again. "Shouldn't we be getting back soon?" she was getting impatient. Apparently even a day like this, couldn't crush her kit-like personality.

Rainfur got up and padded over to the fresh-kill pile. Forcing himself to sit, and quickly ate a small fish. He needed to find something to clear his mind. From thinking about Sandpaw to Silvertail's earlier episode when losing her kit, his thoughts were racing. Maybe I should visit Pebblefoot... she could probably give me something to calm my nerves. He silently walked to the Pebblefoot's den and poked his head inside. "Pebblefoot?" he mewed.

((hmm I'm wondering ....cats of Riverclan... it would probably be easier for Pebblefoot to just be medicine cat already instead of her being a warrior first and being made a medicine cat now? Yes... i think so... i was trying to have it make more sense since it had been an issue before but ... now i think it might be kind of weird since she's had no training... but then there would be the whole thing with Windclan taking Sandpaw inbecause we don't have a medicine cat.... if they suddenly do have one, it would be weird for Windclan to have taken sandpaw in.... tell me your thoughts... if you could even understand any of that Dx))

Dampfoot turned to Silvertail, startled from a snowy reverie. Silvertail's words took a few moments to register, and the concentration on Dampfoot's face was as plain as the snow beneath their paws; it's must've been quite comical to see the she-cat's brain working. "Oh, uh. Well, I doubt we'll catch much more our here." She shrugged grimly, hovering mid-step and watching the gray skies, "You're right, we should head back. It's too cold to be faffing around out here, even for me." She pushed the snow around with her paws for a moment, scuffing her claws against the ground as if in thought, before finally turning and beginning the short journey back to camp. "Come on, let's go," Dampfoot chirped over her shoulder, making sure to retrieve her scrawny kill on the way back.
[ Pirate, I get the impression that the ceremony won't be too long now, so we might as well just wait for that. After all, you're right, it'd probably be a bit weird if our medicine cat just materialized out of nowhere. o3o;; ]

Moonkit gleafully bounced through the snow some more. It was nice, having no worries at the moment. Well, besides the whole Silvertail issue, but that was to be dealt with later. Moonkit jumped as high as she could, a good two tail-lengths or so upwards, and landed heavily in a large pile of snow. Fleks of snow went skyward, and Moonkit was plunged into the darkness that was known as the inside of a snow mound. She couldn't see out, unless she looked up. "Cool!" She mewed, both metaphorically and literally. It was extremely cold in the large snow mountain. "No one would ever find me in here!" She exclaimed happily. Then a trick came into her mind. She deviously began to plan out a trap that she would play out on any unsuspecting cat that walked past.

((I think that waiting is a good idea. Then Torrentstar would have a reason to go back and get Sandpaw...and not just 'cause))
Ravenfang trotted deeper into the clearing. She thought she heard something from the middle of a strangely larger snow pile, but she shook her head and walked past it. "Probably just my imagination" She said to herself.

Moonkit's ears were now faced in the direction of the talking voice. Ravenfang. Yes... This will be fun... She thought, snickering to herself. Bracing herself, she put her haunches in the air as far as the snow would allow. A second later, she pounced through the snow and infront of Ravenfang. She was covered in snow from ear to tail-tip, making her look like an all-white cat. "MROOOW!!" She yowled at the top of her lungs.

Airpaw padded to the apprentices den to warm up. Slipping into the den he curled up in his nest and laid there for a while.

Ravenfang jumped back and yowled "MROWW!!! MOONKIT! What are you doing! You scared me!" Ravenfang's eyes were wide as she stared at the snow-covered kit.

Moonkit nearly fell over, laughing. "Haha! You should have seen your face!" She laughed, the snow now beginning to fall off of her pelt, giving her a sgraggly look. After getting herself together, she mewed, "Sorry. I saw the oppurtunity and I couldn't resist it." It took all of her strength to suppress a chuckle as the image of Ravenfang jumping back played in her mind again.

Ravenfang playfully cuffed Mookit's ear with sheathed claws. "Just be careful who you do that to, ok?" She liked Moonkit. She was one of the few Riverclan cats that looked on the bright side. "Excited to become a warrior?" She mewed.

Moonkit enthusiastically nodded her head. "Uh-huh! I can't wait to go on patrols!" She yelped, giving herself a quick shake to de-tatch all remaining snow from her fur. Moonkit was a bit surprised by the way Ravenfang had reacted. She had expected more of a scare. Of course, she was a warrior and was probably used to such things, but still. Moonkit admired her bravery.

Ravenfang's heart was still pounding from the scare that Mookit had given her. But she was a warrior, and she had to appear stronger for a soon-to-be-apprentice. "Who do you think your mentor is going to be?"

Moonkit simply shrugged. "I don't know. There are a lot of warriors who would make a good mentor that don't have an apprentice yet, so..." She honestly had no idea who she wanted to be her mentor. As a matter of fact, she hadn't put any thought into that. The only thing she had been thinking about was soon becoming an apprentice, not who was going to be her mentor.
