Yo, everyone, it’s Jack again! I’m back with another interview with Hypnotic Distortion! This time, we’re interviewing Vincent Hayes, who was happy enough to speak with us!
Vincent: Uh, you kinda forced me into a room, and, uh---
Jack: So, tell us about your role in the band, Vince.
Vincent: Uh, my name is Vincent Hayes, and---
Jack: Said that!
Vincent: Uh, right. I am a vocalist, lyricist and songwriter for Hypnotic Distortion.
Jack: Anything else in the band? Like, anything interesting?
Vincent: You’re a b*****d.
Jack: True!
Vincent:…
Jack: Anyway, now that we know what you do for the band, what are your likes and dislikes?
Vincent: I enjoy William Shakespeare, Barbecue Sauce, and Booze.
Jack: Wait, why Barbecue Sauce?
Vincent: I like it.
Jack: Okay, right, but WHY do you like it?
Vincent: It, uh, tastes good on meat and barbecue. I like the way it makes it feel more like it was cooked and made outside, I guess. It has a feeling of, uh, something… What is it, that feeling it gives me? Crap, crap, can’t think of it…
Jack: Nostalgia?
Vincent: Precisely! It makes me forget all the travelling we do.
Jack: Anything you dislike?
Vincent: I hate school, Tox and Leif’s loafing around (bastards), and speaking in public.
Jack: Oh, is that why you only speak to one interviewer at a time instead of a Q&A session?
Vincent: Yeah. Too many people confuse me because I have to pay attention to all of them, and then I have to remember all of their questions, and then I have to answer the questions quickly to go onto the next one, and then I have to go do this and that or something or other and it makes me feel like I’m more of a symbol than an idol, which really pisses me---
Jack: You also don’t stick to the subject after more than a few seconds on it.
Vincent: I get frustrated rather easily…
Jack: I would be too, if I had to deal with someone like me all day.
Vincent: Well, that’s true.
Jack: I’ve heard you’re the database for rock and metal in the band. Anything you don’t know for sure?
Vincent: I know the total sales for every album for Metallica, Wolfmother and The Who.
Jack: Impressive! Name a celebrity who’s been in trouble with the media outside of rock and metal.
Vincent: Uh… Angela?
Jack: They also said you’re clueless about anything other than those two subjects.
Vincent: So, is it Angela?
Jack: Changing the subject, I also hear you have a pet. Care to indulge us about him?
Vincent: Oh, yeah. I have a Hedgehog named Grendel. I have him in a little cage I bring with me wherever I go.
Jack: Have you had him for a while?
Vincent: Long before our band began. He was always a pain in my, uh…
Jack: Rump? Butt? a**? Neck? Eye socket?
Vincent: My hand.
Jack:…
Vincent: What?
Jack: That was anticlimactic.
Vincent: He keeps biting my hands and fingers! I love him, but teeth hurt, dammit!
Jack: I’ll keep that in mind. For something. Anyway, did you do anything before the band?
Vincent: I was, uh, a motorist. I raced motorcycles.
Jack: Sweet! Win a lot?
Vincent: A few times. Didn’t help that I took Grendel with me.
Jack:… You took a Hedgehog with you to race.
Vincent: Actually, he was in my pocket. If I fell, he’d spike me in the a** so I’d get up faster.
Jack: That logic astounds me.
Vincent: He’s one of my best friends! I’d take him anywhere!
Jack: Apparently. Anything else before we finish this?
Vincent: You’re a jerk.
Jack: Alright, seeya guys next time!

I liked the parts about the buffalo sauce, how he gets easily distracted and disoriented when he talks, and about little Grendel. xp
Oh and when he tried to get the question about the famous person outside of rock right... "So... is it Angela?" xd
