"Scarring ruins the circulation," Kevin replied, keeping the explination short. "I'll be back." He stood up and walked to the bathroom, closing the door.

Randal sighed and leaned back on the couch tugging on one pointed ear as he waited for Kevin to reappear

Kevin reappeared some time later, rubbing at his neck with one hand, he looked decidedly upset with himself, moving over to the couch he sat down. "I will remove the needle from your restoom later."

Randal could smell the blood but it didnt bother him as much as it would have an hour before. "Thats fine." he said

Kevin smiled. "I believe I have prosueded you over to the darkside." He said lightly, dropping his hand, it had been an interesting experience injection himself in the neck, but he wasn't willing to take off his pants in Randy's home and find an injection spot in his legs.

Randal laughed. "It is a possibility. There have been many firsts today." he said. "Several I would rather not do again though." he said with a shudder. "But I do believe that you are converting me...slightly."

Randal laughed and shook his head. "Your breaking my safty zone you know." he said. Over the years he had made a safe place for himself, there were things he had sworn not to do an things that had become routine and he hadnt broken many of them for hundreds of years.

"I cetainly don't mean to." Kevin replied, smiling as he spoke to Randy. "Shall we get out the chess?" He asked, looking towards the cabinet where the set was normally stored. It was late enough, around the time they normally broke out the game, for the two to do so.

"Yes, lets." Randy said and stood. He moved over to the cabinet and pulled out the board one handed.

Kevin moved to his customary spot in the seat across from the couch. relaxing into the heavy cushions, then helping Randy to set up the pieces when he came back with the set. "I'll be black this time." He said in a soft voice that seemed to set the mood for the game.

Randal grinned and nodded, setting up his own pieces a little slower than normal. Chess was a game that never ceased to amuse Randy, he was always suprised by the moves of his opponant, even if he was capapable of easily counter acting them. "Hmmm, I believe it's your turn to take first move?"

Kevin nodded, bending down over the game and considering, as if that first move of the pawn was the most important move of the game. He always acted like this, trying to pay attention to the game as best he could, to give Randy a proper game, that didn't end to quickly. Given the mans large expertise this was a hard thing to do.

Randal watched with amusement, a small smile on his face as he leaned back in his chair comfortabley. It was nice to just sit around with out his usual adorments and he found it a relief that Kevin didnt mind. He redirected his eyes from Kevins face to the chess board, thinking of Kevins move.
