She nodded, feeling kind of relieved, now there would be less of a fight. She got up, walking over to Atem. She took his hand and walked outside with the others. She looked at their seat situation. "Well we can either throw Joey in the trunk or since Akiko's the lightest she can sit on Yugi's lap." Sam suggested, teasing Joey. She would sit on Atems lap but if Seto saw them out his window or something it would only cause problems. She liked being on his lap too but she felt a bit embarressed in public now all of a sudden.

Mai smiled at Joey. Once they were out in the sun she noticed all of his bruises. She gasped but said nothing. It looked like he had hickies on his neck but she couldnt be sure it wasnt just bruises. She got in the car and started up her purple convertable. She started it up, music insantly blasting. She took her sunglasses and slipped them on.

Yugi followed Akiko out. He remembered Mai's car from when she showed up to his and Joey's duel. He frowned at that thought. They almost died. He listened to Sam's suggestion and looked at Akiko. "I dont mind, but arent both of those illeagal?" He said, being the cautious one. He chuckled a little. He just didnt want to get mai in trouble.

((ummm brown, I dont want her to look exactly like Seto))

Sam usually liked having the music blasted when she drove with Seto but that was because they didnt talk when they drove anywhere, now she wanted to talk to Atem and her friends but it was kind of hard over the music. She got in next to Atem, giggling at his reaction.

Mai glanced back at Atem when he complained about the music. "What? I cant hear you over the music!" She teased even though she heard him perfectly well. "Hang on kiddos." She said and pulled onto the road, instantly speeding down and then turning the corner sharply. She always drove like this and had only recieved one ticket even though she was pulled over many times. She just flirted her way out of a ticket usually. Unfortunately that one cop had been a woman so she got the ticket.

As mai sped down the road with the music blasting and the top down Sam held onto Atem, getting a little afraid they would crash or something.

Yugi climbed into the convertable and grinned when Akiko got onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her and laughed at her and Joey's jokes. He was with Atem on theis one, he didnt like the music so loud. But Yugi wasnt one to complain if the others liked it. When mai started driving like a mad woman Yugi tightened his hold on Akiko.

((oh cool, I was going to try and draw the whole group together but then I got sick so I dont think i'm up to drawing right now. its snowing here too... I'm so sick of the snow...I think I'll go play with my yugioh action figures until you get back, he did you know that you can get an action figure made of yourself? I want to get that done mrgreen ))

"no need to panick, everything's fine, no need to panick, everything's fine." Yugi said repeatedly, trying to stay calm but he was panicking. He held Akiko tightly to him, trying to look strong to her, like he could protect her. He coughed as he choked on a bug since his mouth was open. yeah, he seemed real heroic now.

"She's trying to kill us!" Sam said. Thank god there werent a lot of cars on the road or she was sure they would have crashed. Seto drove crazy too. What were these people thinking when they drove like this?!

Mai grinned. "You tell 'em Joey, we're only going double the speed limit." She said calmly. They were at Kaiba corp in no time. She brought the car to a stop in front of the building and turned it off. She took off her sunglasses and looked back at everyone. "See that wasnt so bad." She said with a smile.

((I cant wait to see the pic! Aww i hope your dog is ok. I love animals. I have all my action figures out, I have soooo many. My kitten keeps hiding behind some of them. She really likes the magnet warrior because its smooth and she keeps knocking Seto over. I also have one of those blue and red dueling arena things from duelist kingdom for the little action figures. I cant seem to satisfy this yugioh withdrawl. I was looking on amozon.com for the season box sets. I can only find 1 and 2 so far. I just looked over and my kitten knocked Seto over again and put her little rubber chew toy on him and then started attacking him! misty noooo!*goes and saves Seto action figure* she doesnt seem to like Seto... or maybe she really likes him, I cant tell))

Yugi finished his coughing, getting the bug out of his throat. "Y-yeah I'm fine." Yugi said, not admitting that he swallowed a bug. He felt so relieved when the car stopped. He laughed softly as Akiko got out and laid on the ground. He sweatdropped. "Are you ok Akiko?" He asked with a small chuckle before she hugged him. He smiled, wrapping his arms around her gently. he loved the little moments like these. He gave her a small peck on the lips and smiled at her.

Mai got out of the car and looked up at the tall building unafraid. "Well lets get this over with." She said. Kaiba certainly wasnt her favorite person in the world. She heard Joey and Atem saying earlier that they werent going to see Kaiba. She figured Atem and Kaiba were in a fight about him being with Sam but she still couldnt figure out why joey didnt want to see him.

Sam giggled at Akiko's actions and was about to tease her until Atem elped her out and kissed her forehead. She smiled at him, moving closer to him. "You'll stay with Joey right?" She said to make sure that he wasnt comming up to Seto's office and that he would comfort Joey. After all no one can deal with heart break too easilly. She didnt know about Seto's lie but she knew Joey was upset.

Seto had been working for hours now non-stop. He had to keep his mind preoccupied with any task or he would start thinking about Joey again. He couldnt stop thinking about him durrign the ride to work but now he blocked out all of his feelings to work. Still, he could feel the guilt and heartache effecting his work. His work wasnt as close to perfection as usual and he couldnt think straight.

((She's a strange cat. She layed next to the fallen Seto figure and watched it as if waiting for him to attack her or somthing.... weird sweatdrop dogs are my fave too. whats a kiwi bird? I like kiwi mrgreen ))

Sam returned his hug. She didnt understand why she felt so bad about leaving him for a few minutes. She felt like she had to be near him at all times. Before she fell in love she would have laughed at people acting like this but now she just couldnt help it. She smiled. "I love you too." She said before letting go of him and walking after the others. She walked inside and gave a wave to the secretary so she wouldnt bother asking everyone if they had an appointment and so on. She got into the elevator and waited for them to follow before she pressed the button for the top floor. Once they reached the top she got out and walked down a small hallway before stopping in front of an elaborate door. She knocked first.

Mai gave a wave to Joey and Atem. "See ya boys." She said as she followed Sam. As they got to Seto's office she gave a long whistle. "Your brother really likes to flaunt his money doesnt he?" She said, since the door and hallway was decorated nicely.

Yugi gave a sad smile to Atem and Joey as he left them behind and walked with Akiko hand in hand. "Do you think Joey's ever going to be able to face Seto without getting upset?" He asked. He always thought Joey was strong enough to withstand anything. Joey and Seto were always fighting. Joey was one of the only people to stand up to Kaiba. Did Kaiba break Joey when he broke his heart?

Seto was surprised to hear a knock at his door. His mind instantly thought JOEY! but he knew that wasnt possible. He would be lucky if he ever saw Joey again. "Come in." He said cautiously. If it was Joey then he was probably there to get his revenge on Seto or somthing crazy like that. He saw Sam open the door and he rolled his eyes at his stupid thoughts. But why were the others with him? Well besides Atem and Joey. He felt his heart sink when he relaized that Joey wasnt there. One person in particular caught his interest, the blonde girl, Mai. He recognized her. Joey fought so hard to protect and save her durring his tornament. Seto narrowed his eyes. "I'm very busy, what do you want?" He said angrilly, his blood now boiling at the sight of one of Joey's former loves. But Joey was gay right? So he couldnt be with her. Maybe he was bisexual? Seto was getting more outraged.

Sam saw that Seto was angry as soon as he saw them. She frowned, hoping it wasnt her that he was angry at. But who else could it be? Was he angry at her for disobeying him? Did he know she snuck out last night? She gulped. "We just needed youre help on soemthing..." She started.

Seto had no idea Sam wasnt home last night. And he was far too destracted by his other thoughts to even remember that he was mad at her. Seto sighed, hearing that they needed a favor. "Make it fast." he growled out, glaring at mai.

Mai raised an eyebrow. Was it just her or did everyone else see that he was particularly sending deathglares at her? She brushed it off as her imagination.

"Well mai heard that Pegusus might be having another tornament. But its just a rumor. We thought you'd be able to find out that information easilly." Sam said.

"Hmmm a new tornament you say?" Seto repeated. This intrigued him greatly. But what was strange to him as that his first thought wasnt about beating yugiand Atem like it would normally be, his first thought was that he would definately see Joey again. "Fine, I'll find out." He said. He opened up his laptop and did some hacking into industial illusions schedual. It took maybe five minutes for him to find the data. "Its not just a rumor. The tornament is to be announced next week. The tornament itself is going to be held in california in a month. The winner will recieve a new rare card that is one of a kind and some prize money." He finished.

Yugi grinned. So there was going to be a tornament! And he had a stong feeling this would be the best one yet. This was going to be the first tournament where he could relax and focous on dueling instead of saving the world.

"A new rare card?" Mai said intrigued.

Seto looked up from his laptop at them. "If thats all you needed then get out." he said harshly.

Sam smiled when she heard that there was going to be a tournament and the prize sounded great too. But she just wanted to be able to duel Atem. She really wanted to prove herself to him by being a strong opponent. When he said to leave she nodded. "Thanks Seto, I'll be home later." She said and hurried out, wanting to tell Atem the news.

Mai smiled confidently at Kaiba. "I'll be winning this tournament just to let you know." She said and turned to leave as Kaiba rolled his eyes at her and glared once more.

Seto waited a moment. "Akiko, wait a second. I have to speak with you.... alone..." He finished. He asumed Joey told them all what he did to him but he felt most comfortable talking about his relationship problem with Akiko.

Yugi frowned and still held onto Akiko's hand. He wasnt sure if he should let her go. He didnt trust Kaiba anymore and he had no idea why he would want to talk to Akiko alone. He frowned. He wasnt the type to hold a grudge and he shouldnt. But he couldnt stop thinking about Kaiba using Akiko and hurting Joey. He took a deep breath and let go of her hand. "I'll wait right outside ok?"

((wow that took a long time sorry, there is probably a bunch of misspellings too))

Seto closed his eyes for a moment as he waited for everyone to leave besides Akiko. He knew no one would be able to hear anything through the thick doors. He had his office sound proof for complete privacy. He opened his eyes, looking stressed. He just couldnt stop thinking about Joey, he needed to know how he was doing and if he was ok. If Joey went and drank after just being told he was embarressed of him imagine what he was capable of after he thought Seto raped him while he was drunk. "How's Joey? Where is he?" He asked, almost desperately but he tried to hide it.

Yugi shut the doors and then watched as Sam hurried into the elevator.

Mai walked towards the elevator but looked back when Yugi wasnt following. "Hm?"

"I'm going to wait here for Akiko. I dont want to go to far." He said protectively. "We'll meet you down in a minute." He said.

Sam frowned. "Seto wouldnt hurt her." She defended sadly.

Yugi waved his hands in front of him. "Oh I know Sam." He lied just to make her feel better. "I just want to wait for her, thats all." he said.

Sam smiled, feeling happy. She knew Atem would have done the same thing for her. "Alright see ya." She said and pressed the button for the lobby once Mai was in the elevator.

Yugi pressed his er against the closed door but he couldnt hear anything. Were they even talking? He was getting worried.

As soon as the elevator arrived at the lobby Sam ran out to Atem and Joey. "The tournaments for real!" She announced happily and gave them the details. "Sounds cool huh? I cant wait!"

"Settle down kiddo, its not for a month." Mai said with a chuckle.

((So after this, Joey and Mai can hang out and Seto can stalk them, Yugi can teach akiko how to duel and they can get destracted and do other things and I dont know what to do with Atem and Sam but does that sound good?))

((ooo that sounds good, they can see tea at the mall or something, should that cause a fight between Atem and Sam or no?))

Seto rolled his eyes. He was hoping to avoid having to explain that since it never happened he didnt know what to say. But just the reminder that he could have screwed with Joey made him want to kick himself for ruining the night because of his ego. Joey was an idiot as far as Seto could see. He couldnt belive he fooled him so easily. It almost made Seto proud of himself. But he couldnt stop having feelings for Joey. He just needed the emotions to go away. Joey must have been in too much pain from the fight and hangover to realize that Seto didnt touch him. Seto arrogantly thought that Joey wouldnt even be able to walk straight if he had his way with him. Seto broke out of his thoughts, he was getting far too excited thinking about Joey. He looked back at Akiko. "Thats none of your business." he said. He glanced at the door, glaring and then back at her. "What is that blonde bimbo doing back with you guys? Did she come for Joey?" He asked pssesively.


"Its in California in a month." Mai answered about the tournament. "Theres a big cash prize and a rare card for the winner." She said. She was excited as well but she stayed calm.

Sam returned Atem's hug and giggled as him and Joey asked a lot of questions. Mai answered them so she didnt have to. She stayed in Atem's arms as he asked about yugi. "Oh, Seto wanted to talk to Akiko so Yugi's waiting outside his office." She explained, looking at Joey sadly when she had to mention her brother.
