Toshi sat both books neatly on his lap and focused on his chakra. His thoughts drifted to other things. Like when he is going to learn the clan's jutsu. His mind was in a turmoil. Through all that chaos he heard that droplet of water again. It calmed and smoothed out the surface of his thoughts. His mind became clear and focused. He called all the chakra he could. He remembered what Kasuke had taught him in the office. He took a deep breath and blew out all his chakra. a gust of wind ruffled the papers that were on the table in front of him. He looked around and thanked god no one noticed that.

Toshi smiled as he felt a little dazed from the lost of all his chakra. He grabbed the book on human anatomy and opened it to page one. He read it slowly. Toshi knew that it was a very boring book. He read about how electricity could could effect the body and how our brains send out electrical impulses throughout our bodies. The thought made him shiver as his smile grew even bigger. The thought that his body was working because of electricity never occurred to him. Of course he never put much thought into how it worked anyways. Toshi turned his head to look at page two. Toshi stared at the first line.

Toshi smiled. The page was about skin and how it was an organ. Toshi laughed. "As if skin could be an organ. I need to write the author and tell him a few things he is wrong about. Toshi continued anyways besides the fact that he thought the author had it wrong. 'The fact that Skin is an organ is only perplexed by the fact that it has millions upon millions of minute pores.' This caught Toshi's attention. Not the skin part but the thing with the lots and lots of pores thing. He thought about it for a little bit. This would explain how the Okazai could use there chakra to manipulate the wind around them. Toshi had to admit that the author had that at least right. He flipped to page three.

Toshi realized that this page was about hands. He read it slowly to try to under stand it all. He learned that the back of the hand has more sensors on it then the palm. He thought about all the times his mother check his forehead with the back of her hand. "Mother must have been a genius! She should write a book too. Only this time tell people that skin is just our wrapper like the botan candy. Not and organ." Toshi smiled and then continued onto the next page. His face turned dark red.

Toshi read the page regretfully and turned an even darker shade of crimson. The girls that he followed he laughed while they were at the counter reading their book. The laughter had scared Toshi's heart up into his throat. He looked at the girls and then the book and then the girls again. He finally held up the book and the girls and compared them. He blushed again setting the book aside. "That is more then I ever need to know about girls in my life. I would have been better without know that fact." Toshi shivered at the thought. "This author is gunna hear from my lawyer for burning my eyes and changing my concepts of this beautiful world I thought I had known."

Toshi put everything out of his mind and tried to focus. He gathered his chakra but it slipped away time and time again. The stupid books words and images kept popping into his mind. Toshi grabbed the book and flipped it over and over again. Toshi was trying to calm his nerves but it wasn't working at all he reread the first page and then the second but when he got to the page he disliked he turned back a page and took a few deep breaths. he finally regained his composure and smiled again. "Well I'll just repress that memory till I get a tumor and it comes back to haunt me."

Toshi quickly skipped a few pages more and landed on the liver. Toshi learned that the liver was used for filtering alcohol among other things as well. He never thought that there was a thing that did that. He didn't even know there was a thing called a liver. Toshi started laughing. " why would someone call a organ a live-r? I just don't get it. Toshi started laughing even more then he was before. Then he remembered that there was people in the library and shut up right away. He kept laughing to himself though. Toshi turned the next page.

Toshi got to a page he could not understand to save the life of him. " So it's called an... Abdu. . . Abdula... Abdulaabla... abdulablengota? . . .I quit. I'm just going to call it an Ab and move on. I knew I'd hate this book. Toshi sighed and then smiled. He ran his fingers through his hair and giggled at the way the word look. It might as well have been a foreign language to him. He rolled his neck cracking all the bones in his neck. He smiles and gave a sigh of extreme relief. He turned the page slowly half afraid to see whats on the other side.

Toshi was relieved when he turned the page and noticed it was only about hair and nails. He looked at the book and slowly started reading. "So hair and nails are made up of the same thing? How did this guy ever get his book published?" Toshi sighed and set down the book marking where he was last in the book. He knew he had to be working on his chakra so he sighed and shook himself out to focus. He had to get all his chakra in this one go or else he'd have to wait even longer.

Toshi made a hand seal and began to focus. Voices from the two girls trying to giggle and talk at the same time drifted into his head. Toshi tried to focus but his chakra was all over the place. It would flow perfectly then it would just cower and hide from his grasp. Toshi relaxed and rested his head against the soft plush chair he was sitting on. Toshi closed his eyes and tried to think of something to help him but all that came to mind was what Kasuke had told him. He took this into consideration and decided to try it again right now.

Toshi focused on his chakra but the same thing happened over and over again. Toshi was starting to get sick with this training and how incorporable his chakra was being. Toshi sighed and hung his head with failure but he wasn't going to give up just yet. He still had more then enough chakra to finish this. Toshi decided that the next one was all or nothing. He had to have faith in himself so he smiled and looked around to make sure no one he knew was around. Suddenly his stomach started growling. "Hmm. I guess I am hungry. AHHH but I can't get anything cause I don't have any money from Kasuke. Okay. I'll check this book out. Then i can go get some food. Thank you Kami!" Toshi Smiled again.

Toshi began to focus even harder. His chakra was also a little more controllable this time around. Which made Toshi smile as he focused. but the bit of glee threw him off and he couldn't focus hard enough to get all of his chakra. Toshi released his chakra and bit his tongue to fight back the yelling. He needed to talk to a jounin. Then he would be set. so Toshi stood up with the syllabus in hand and went to the check out counter. The lady seemed pretty nice and quickly checked out the book for him. She was super nice when she saw what he was checking out. Toshi wondered about this but smiled kindly toward the nice lady and walked out the door.

The Ghost of Xmas Awesome

Xenon walked passed the counter, heading toward the shadows of the library where the spiraling stair cases began to lead one down to the lower levels. He needed no direction, and besides, he doubted people would approve of what he was seeking.

He'd been to the library many times, and to this darker section just recently when he was doing some research on bloodlines, but this time he didn't pretend he would be treading on familiar ground. He himself had never even seen the bottom. This place was old, and much of it's vast stores of knowledge had been acquired by hands who were far from virtuous. Even some of the info on bloodlines he'd found had clearly been acquired in the villages early, less reputable days.

As Xenon finally reached a floor he needed to light a candle to see by, he at last stopped his trek, and began to skim the dusty shelves. Though it looked as though the someone came to maintain this place, to make sure it never fell into disrepair, Xenon got the strong suspicion no one had read from this part of the library in quite some time. Setting down the candle he'd brought with him from earlier in the library, he began to read, Mokutan fluttering down the nearest dust covered table, it's dark wood suiting the rest of the shadowy section. Still the Crow said nothing. He knew that his master would speak when he was ready to tell him what was going on. Until then the bird would keep silent. So he settled down as Xen's wandering eyes began to search the ancient scrolls... he didn't know what he was looking for...only that he would know it when he saw it...

The familiar smell of ancient parchment filled the air as Xenon adjusted his glasses slightly in the dim light. So much had been tucked away her, so much forbidden knowledge, the only trouble with most of it was that it was either purely aesthetic, and not useful toward his purpose, or, it in an ancient righting or code that he couldn't crack nor interpret. The entity of his intellect was going into this search though, and he didn't intend to give up until he found what he came for. As he poured over yet another dark scroll, his eyes narrowed. Just torture methods...useless, his Genjutsu was more then up to the task of interrogation...and besides, it was far from a legendary find...

The next one... and the next one, Xenon's golden eyes seemed to be darting about like fire flies through a meadow on a hot summers eve. Nothing, nothing, something, but nothing he could use. The pattern would have started to irk most but Xenon Maboroshi's patience seemed to have no limit in this instance, his face remained calm, passive, and one might think everything was going according to plan to look at him. He was like a predator now, a reptile settled into it's crouch and more then willing to wait however long it needed too, knowing it's prey would soon come to it.
