Right, right, I just wasn't sure whether or not you meant it in that sort of figurative way.

Do you believe that there is "good" and "evil" in this world? Give examples of both.

Wow. That was a drastic change in topic! xd
Good: Buddha Bad: Hitler
Though, I suppose those could be seen as gray areas of one were to look hard enough.

It's just that I've always been interested in the concept of "good and evil." 3nodding
You said that Buddha is a representation of "good," and I kinda agree. But wasn't he assassinated? The guy who killed him must've thought he was "bad" or "evil."
Same goes for Hitler. Sure, you and I think he was a total @$$hole (HUGE understatement there), but he had a lot of support from people who justified his beliefs, didn't he?
So even though many people can think of a subject/person/whatever as "good" or "evil," there really isn't a sturdy example.

That is what I meant by the gray areas. 3nodding I am sure you can think in much simpler terms, I suppose. Such as fruit is good and pain is evil, but still there could be gray areas in there as well... I don't know what to tell you. sweatdrop

Some people who are sensitive to sugar wouldn't like fruit. The army loves pain. blaugh I think that good and evil are determined by perspective.

Did you think Hitler thought he was evil? I don't think so, I know that his thoughts where, they were somewhere along the lines of "I'm doing what must be done to make the world a better place," that his ideals and philosophy are not shared with the most of us makes it evil. I do not sympathize with him, but to him it was a good idea, he saw a problem with the world, blamed it on a race, and did the most logical thing he could muster on his genius mind set. (I hate 99.9% of what Hitler did, but he was a political [and artistic] genius, have your heard some of his speeches? He mono-idealized a country with his words. Not to mention he was a good painter.)
The point I want to go into is that history is written by the winners, Imagine a world where the USA lost the revolutionary war, the world's landscape would have been completely different, not to mention that said war would have just been a footnote in history books. the idea of the general people would have been an anti-American one, judging it's ideals. Or what if Batista died a peaceful death and Cuba became a democratic country?Would that change the views that people have of the island? Losers are, most of the time, classified as evil, regardless of positions.
I could rant for hours, but I don't think my complicated views are appropriate for this place.

Le Duke of Undertaker Not to mention he was a good painter.) Wasn't he kicked out of art school? neutral I can't believe I haven't realized this before, but yeah, the U.S. would've been a lot different if we didn't win that one single war. 3nodding

Nah, I think that Spain and France would've already gotten their hands on the land in the west, and that British land would only double.
