"See, Pan?" Rhm thought-spoke to his familiar. "Vampires are totally normal here."
Pan offered no comment and continued to lazily lap up her milk.
Rhm turned in his seat to face the new arrival. "Hello Asako (ha! that rhymed!)! Nice to meetcha'."

"hey kuragari," acarian said reaching into the backpack still slung over his sholder and pulling out a jacket. "this is the perfect vampire jacket. it has loops at the bottom to attach to your legs so its less likely to fall off, its thick, durable, and portects you in any weather. i have no use for it, so maybe you want it. i know how hard it is for a vampire to find a good jacket." acarian said, offering it to her.

Kuragari's face went from tired to schocked in about a second. "That's kind of you but I perfer my cloack as it was my first gift from my mom." But wanting to be nice she added, "But I'll accept it if you want I might find it useful in the winter months." Trying to add a nice smile to her face she hoped that her fangs wouldn't make her said attemot at being kind ruin it.

"No I fully accept as it is very kind of you to think of a vampire kindly. I've never recieved a gidt from anyone but my mom since I ummm...ost my family to the fire I kind of...." Kuragari takes a deep breath, "caused." Taking another deep breath she regains her usual composure and goes back to being tired and bored looking.

"try losing 2 families." acarian said looking at her. " i lost my original family and my vampire family.both were my fault," acarian siad taking a seat next to her.

Jake had smiled again as Anne approached further and greeted him. She sat down and politely joined into the conversation with Rhm and the vampire. The boy sort of wanted to join into the conversation, but decided to just keep to himself and eat his healthy lunch ( smile )
Suddenly the kistune-girl from Languages and Acarian approached and sat down. The kitsune greeted the other girl from Languages, while Acarian offered a salutation towards the vampire.
It seems that everybody already knows everybody else here... Jake softly spoke to Anko.
The wolf offered his consolation: It'll be fine. You'll meet everybody soon.
The young man was going to respond back to his familiar when Anne went to introduce him to her friend. She began, "And...well, I still don't know your name!" She giggled good-naturedly; her brown hair bouncing.
Jake took a mouthful of his salad and chewed mulling over what he should he say. He swallowed and barely audibly he stated his name, "Jake."
Realizing a little late, he noticed that he didn't sound all that friendly - like the girl that had asked. In a little more up-beat of a voice, the young man added, "My name's Jake."

"I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Watching loved ones burn in raging fire you started is not as bad as losing your family only to be accepted into another and lose that family I'm sure." Her voice has not changed bit but her thoughts are spinning. 'He had a vampire family but isn't one. I can't believe it he's as close to me as a white clan vampire is.'

"yea, it is pretty hard" acarian said. "but sometimes i wish i could give back the vampire part of me so i could forget about what I did. its hard enough knowing that i destroyed a village, but having apart of them with me forever...

Kuragari nodded, "Sadly I feel the same I would happily do anything to get my family back but there resting at peace. On the other hand I begged my mom to make me a vampire. I use to eat bloody meat before I changed so to me it was nothing. I just get to enjoy the night even more now." Her words have no remorse to them as if she's telling the truth and is happy she a vampire. "I especially love being of the Black Caln because of allt he powers I gainged without giving up anything really."

"Jake. You're the silent kind, I see." Anne stated, without even a tinge of bad mood. She knew not everyone was as cheerful as she was, but her heart pounded with excitement today.
Eating joyfully the delicious food, she looked around. Crossed conversations took over the table. "It's no doubt the loudest table around." the girl noticed, gladly. "And the more diverse as well..." Around them, most people seemed to gang up with their own species, but Anne was glad they were an exception.
"You seem to be from Earth, Jake...what dropped you here?" She asked lightly.

Asako grinned, waving energetically at the people gathered around. "Hey! I'm Asako-chan, Anne's roommate and resident party girl!" She punched her fist in the tail, tail waving in the air behind her. "And it's great to meet you all, mm-hmm!"
Inside, Asako was incredibly happy--happier than she had been since the day started. The joy of getting to finally break out of the boring classroom and meet new people--plus the relish that 'people' were all incredibly cute. Sizing up the five she was now sitting with, her thoughts went something like this:
The human boy -Jake, I think he said--I could barely hear him!- is cute, but just too vanilla. Human boys have to be extra special to get me interested. But he'd be a great match for Anne: look at the way they're talking now! She let out a little internal giggle, before turning to the newest boy she had met today.
Cat-boy over there is cute, though. Anything with ears and a tail is good in my book! Plus he's got a great build: lean and strong, without all that yucky extra muscle most guys seem so obsessed over. Truly a nice catch!
Akerian... and in her glee, Asako quite forgot that he could read minds, he's not so much...To much of a 'younger brother' type. Plus it's almost like I've gotten too attached to him...in all the wrong ways. I just can't have fun with a guy I feel bad for...But he's a great guy. Maybe he can hook up with that vampire chick.
And speaking of, boy is she scary! After what she did in Drama...geez, I couldn't imagine getting physical with a woman who scared the crap outta me.
And Anne's still yummy, but she's my roommate and friend. I couldn't bear to ruin that! I'll just have to hook her up with a nice guy...preferably Jake, or maybe Akerian.
Now that Asako had thoroughly surveyed the 'options,' she jumped right back into the conversation without missing a beat. Deciding to join in on Anne's grilling of Jake, she added with an eager smile, "Yeah, do tell us! I've already gotten a glimpse of what Anne here can do, but you're a complete mystery."
Flashing a sly grin, she said, "Don't leave anything out. I want to hear every detail!"

Rhm took another bite of his fish, listening to both conversations equally.
Wow... Akerian and the vampire girl sure are intense. Talk about a heavy conversation...
"They've just found a kindred spirit in each other." Pan said, "The best thing for people with heavy hearts is to share the load."
Rhm glanced at her wryly. Way to wax philosophical on me.
She just shrugged. Rhm tuned in to Asako and Jake and Anne's conversation. Anne had just asked Jake how he came to be in the Faerie Realm. Rhm was curious about that as well (curious about anything from the Human Realm really), so he put on an attentive face and waited for a chance to enter the conversation.
In the few seconds of waiting, he tried to take in the stock of the people at the table. He hadn't come to Artemis with girls in mind, but he had to admit: things were looking good. Both Anne and Asako were cute, no doubt about that. They both had great, arresting eyes (in addition to... other features). He hadn't really talked to Asako much yet so he didn't know about her; but from all accounts, she seemed bubbly and cheerful. Anne was nice and smart and had a certain exoticness; being from the Human Realm and all. Then again, Anne was also a little exotic. In Rhm's experience, kitsunes mostly kept to themselves.
Speaking of girls, Rhm thought suddenly, I wonder where Triselle went. He told himself to remind himself to remember to see if he could find her later.
Back to the matter at hand. ... Shoot... What was I thinking about again? Ah well, it'll come to me later.

It seemed that Anne had lost interest in Jake, so he slowly turned away and resumed the shoveling of food into his mouth. Akerian and the vampire-girl were talking about their sad plights and how they were left alone to sob in the dark. He didn't mean to sound so cold (really to "think" so cold), but he had also been through other sorts of hardships - although of different sorts.
"You seem to be from Earth, Jake...what dropped you here?" Anne's voice lightly floated through the noisy cafeteria.
What 'dropped' me here? What's she mean Jake shot a sideways-quizzical look in the direction of the wolf.
Before Anko had even gotten a chance to shed some light, Asako - the kitsune-girl - had attentively thrown herself into the conversation. "Yeah, do tell us! I've already gotten a glimpse of what Anne here can do, but you're a complete mystery. Don't leave anything out. I want to hear every detail!"
The gears turned, spun, ground and churned as Jake tried to decipher meaning out of their questions. He finally asked, after moments of thinking, "I'm afraid that I don't really understand what you mean... how I arrived at Artemis Moon or why I came?"

Kuragari yawned again, well guys it's time for me to get some sleep I have to feed Chi and I have alot to do tonight." Yawning again she nodded at everyone and turned to leave.
