i'm actually on the forth of her books "the bitten" (which by the way there is more biggrin ). i think that they r very well written and i like the story line it's just my one big problem is her view on what vampires r like. i've gotten so used to LKH take on vamps that anything different is kinda hard for me to accept. but besides my own problems the writting and the whole storyline is really good.

I have the first one, Minion, and honestly I wasn't too thrilled with it. I found the writing style too choppy with the way she jumps around, crude with her use of the word "s**t", and a bit one-dimensional overall. It's not that I don't like swearing, it's just that she seems to use it as a subsitute for everything, and too much swearing in a book tends to look very unprofessional. The story idea itself seemed like a good one to me, I guess I just didn't like the execution.

Ai-ren Anyone know what's the name of LA Banks new book is? I do believe the last one (#6) is The Forsaken. Minion The Awakening The Hunted The Bitten The Forbidden The Damned The Forsaken That's the first six in order. I don't know if there's a seventh. Moving on. This was actually my topic *former Lyvithia. I forgot all about it! I actually just now bought up to book four and of course I haven't read anything more than Minion.. (I'm busy in Stephen King) yet. I'll give my opinion once I jump into them.

I found out what the new book was... it's called The Wicked . I haven't gotten a chance to read it tho.

I read through our when those were the only ones out... I have to say that the slang almost turned me off of them but I stayed the course. It was a bumpy start... but I ended up really liking the series... Then I tried the fifth and it all went to Hell. (Heh, bad joke.) While the first four were only confusing enough to make it interesting... number5 was way past mass confusing for me... I have no clue what was trying to happen there... I ended up only getting half way through the book.
However, I regret having sold the first four, I want them again (UGH!) and now... I must search through Half Price to find them. I liked #4 best... Carlos ist awesome!
L.A. Banks has a way of making almost everyone talk the same that is annoying, however chara are good and story line may seem unoriginal but she pulls it off with a new flare. ...Her short stories for the series are good to!
...That was like my longest post ever...
Anyway, long post short, read the series (or a short story) if nothing else it will expand your horizons just a litle!!! LOL.

I read the first one, and have the second, but haven't read it yet. I just started her short story in the anthology "My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding." It is good so far.

I have read all the way up to Wicked. I like the mythology/theology in the stories but sometimes it is too confusing to keep track of everything. One thing I have noticed with her book is one book I can breeze through and enjoy but then the next seems to be sluggish to me. I personally want to know what happens with Lilith. I dont want to give anything away so I'll stop talking now.
