dr._victor_von_doom Well he wasn't really talking to me when he said it, and I probably shouldn't have taken it as personally as I did, but he said: kissmekillme The only reg I can think of who's an artist that actually wants to work in comics and it's not a pipe dream for is Cel. And I realize that at my current skill level he's right I don't have a chance in Hell. But I'm not Liefeld, I am learning and I'm trying to improve, I may never be one of the greatest artists to work on comics, but I will work on comics. Heck if I want to become a popular artist all I'll have to do is suck up to the guys over at Wizard and they'll hype me no matter how sucky I am. xp Why he would say something like that is beyond me, but whatever I guess.

Spider_Jerusalem I'm going to be perfectly honest with you here Doom. I really like how you're progressing in your art and you're getting yourself pretty damn close to the list of artists that if I make it writing comics that I want to bring on board with me to collaborate with. That shouldn't mean a hell of alot because I'm just me, but I personally see the potential in your art for something that I would want my scripts to look like. Of course there's only two names on that list right now. Anyway, enough gabbing here's my latest: Wow, Spider, that's your best one yet, in my opinion.

That is one pained looking shoulder. It's not only too small, but seems to be physically connected to the body by nothing more than the suspender. The abs need work too. The right line creates a concave. A really drastic one.

I remember specifically asking for no snark in this thread, suggestions duly noted but I can't tell you how much I hate that approach to criticism.

It's not snark. It's constructive criticism. I told you exactly what I felt was off with the image. It's an interesting pose, but that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't look like that shoulder is connected to the body or the fact that you've drawn a line that creates a concave. Looking at it now, I'm also wondering where the other arm went.
