And then you can whip it out and be all dramatic. Not that you'd do that if you were actually in a fight, of course, but still.

True. If you were awake, paying attention and therefore alert enough to fight back. Otherwise you've just been ambushed.

Not necessarily. If you went to sleep armed, you'd be lots safer in, say, the wilderness.

True. You'd still have to be quick, though.

Well no kidding. That's kind of a general rule in the wild.

"Wild" meaning battle situations. "Cause you sure don't get ambushed by Jaffa in my back garden. Which could classify as wild. rofl

I mean like the situations SG-1 found themselves in during the first year or so. They set up camp a lot! xd

They did, didn't they? I was kinda pissed they didn't do that in the later seasons. The camping thing was hilarious, Jack and Daniel sniping at each other, Jack and Teal'c sniping at each other.....it was great.

I think the plots got more complicated. They started doing huge, multi-part stories that every episode contributed to. They didn't do the whole find-a-problem, fix-a-problem-in-one-episode thing like they used to. And thats pretty much the only episode-type that supports camping scenes.

Really true. Also, very few episodes involved that much untamed territory as the story went on.

You're right, they seemed to spend more and more time in cities, didn't they? And the number of episodes where they didn't actually go offworld increased too.
