I've heard alot of rumors of Arcee and Soundwave being in the sequel, along with a resurrected Jazz (which would totally rock! whee ), but the key word is 'rumors'. Shockwave was in the PS2 TF game as well, and you got to fight him as Optimus.

That little piece of the allspark Optimus took from Megatron's chest is what is rumored to bring Jazz back, but he'll have his G1 colors.

On May 30, 2007, DreamWorks greenlit two sequels to Transformers. Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Peter Cullenare signed on to return. Producer Tom DeSanto has envisioned a storyline introducing the Dinobots, Constructicons, and Soundwave. Writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman may not return, as "the next Star Trek is taking up most of their time." Michael Bay has not signed on, "trying to keep some leverage for the negotiations," but already has ideas, including an aircraft carrier character. The producers expect that with a bigger budget and the special effects worked out, the Transformers will have a larger role. Mark Ryan stated in an interview that he had recorded some material for the DVD release of the film that "[has] to do with the Prequel that will set up the second film."
this is all form Wikipedia and there is more! and yes scorpinx brings back megatron.

LeBeouf and Fox coming back is nothing to be excited about. Cullen, however, is a coup that cannot be underestimated. I adore his voice, and have said before that his rendition of Prime seems to only improve with age.

Dinobots, while adored, might be interesting. How would they come to the conclusion of using dinosaurs as scanned forms? Lack of appropriate vechicular forms?

Constructicons- Mmmmmmmmm . . . that leads me to one question. Gestalt?! Could they be ready to introduce them? In the animated series, Devastator was the decepticon trump card. Nothing could stand up to him until the dinobots came into the picture. Could their introduction be done at the same time to even the scales while upping the stakes at the same time?

Soundwave only makes me say one thing. "Yessssssss!"

My only concern seems to have been addressed- less humans and more Transformers. It is their movie, after all.

I'm hoping they bring Arcee and Soundwave. I've heard though that the next movie will be focusing more on the Transformers and less on the humans, which is a hooray in my books!

Well, I just hope Wheeljack will be in the sequel creating the Dinobots and his dangerous inventions against the Decepticons. I do not mind seeing Cliffjumper in there too, for his reckless maneuvers to kick the Decepticons' @$$.

Yes, they're bringing Soundwave!

I heard that Soundwave, Dinobots, or the Constructicons (sp?) might be introduced in the sequel somewhere other than wikipedia. ;D

I like the idea of Shockwave leading the Decepticons in the second movie. Although, we have to realistically admit that the film industry will only allow this to be a Trilogy.

Of course, Unicron would be in the third, probably as the reason why all the Cybertronians stop warring with each other.

And on the subject of sparks, they do mention that Optimus has a spark in the movie.

Although, fusing the Allspark (really the matrix), with Megatron probably just returned Megs' spark to the allspark. It's quite possible that Soundwave might be able to find a way to resurrect his leader.

Now, about the airship carrier bot... How the hell are they going to do him? Tidal Wave is one of the cityformers... that's a big project to get into. If they put him in, it'll probably take a lot away from the rest.

My opinion: Soundwave may or may not inadvertingly introduce Unicron into the story. In his search to bring back megs, he stumbles upon a datatrack of "The Dark God" etc. which says Unicron can resurrect fallen warriors. It'll be the plothole that links into the third movie.

Constructicons vs. Dinobots ftw.

oh yeah... id have to throw in that unicron only be brought in at movie 3... or after, if they're gonna do more but... a trilogy seems to be status quo...
and originally shockwave was the i guess you could say governor of cybertron while G1 was taking place (i never did understand how starscream got the crown in the '86 movie when it always seemed to me shockwave outranked him, but you do have to hand it to the lovable conniving b*****d, hed find a way)
soundwave... yes... if anyone would bring back megs it would be soundwave to try the hardest... hmm... im thinkhing of a burns/smithers parody with megs/soundwave now... gimme a moment... is tf ready for robosexuals?
dinobots im assuming would get their form the same way they did in the show... autobots learning about earth find out about dinosaurs and so make their design from there.... dinobots werent scanned if i remember exactly, they were built specifically by wheeljack
and devastator... if were gonna have dinobots... gotta have devastator

well, i think i need to come up for air now...

I heard Arcee, Wheeljack, Soundwave, and Shockwave are going to be in the 2nd, which would be tight.

But I'm wondering if Scorponok and Barricade are still alive on Earth. In the junior-novel, Optimus killed both Barricade and Bonecrusher...but in the movie, Barricade never showed up for the final battle.

Very true. Barricade did show up for the final battle, but I don't recall seeing him in actual combat- just escorting Bonecrusher to the fight . . . and Scorponk did lose his tail- but escaped. That has got to come back as a plot device!

...i agree with all of u!!!!!!

The novel mentions Prime killing Barricade right after he cut off Bonecrusher's head. If it was in the final script for the movie, it might have been cut for time because there were a lot of things they took out from the movie that made it into the novel.

Though you have to remember that the game story needed to be longer to keep players interested so we may or may not see Shockwave.

As for the aircraft carrier, since the characters are based loosely on G1 anfd not any other series, it's entirely possible that this may be the Autobot triple-changer Broadside rather than Tidal Wave(who was supposed to be Shockwave in Armada. damn copyright laws trobles!).

Yes, but there are also things in the book that are not in the movie for artistic liscence. The book is going to have some differences. For instance, in the book, Jazz was not ripped in half. Instead, his spark was literally ripped from his still-living body by Megs' hand.

Yes but movie novelizations are always written from scripts of the movie. the only thing that is often added are the descriptions and often include scenes that are cut for time in the final production. All I'm saying is that it's possible that Barricade is dead and that all that we have heard about what will be in Transformers 2 may not even be in the final cut of the movie
