She grinned at him, not provoking him any further about his chest wound. She did so like to rub it in the faces of the others when she was right, though. That sense of pride and, well, knowing she had been right. So while the words were not said, it was there, gleaming in her eyes.
When her offer of healing went unaccepted- in fact the stallion stiffened, was he offended?!- the gleam vanished, and she couldn't stop the reproaching look she gave him. But as she had said earlier, it was his body. She couldn't exactly tackle him and hold him down while she stuck her horn to his chest. She might end up goring him if he struggled, and then where would have her good deed gone?
Right through his chest, that was where.
But, Yue never could control her mouth entirely.
"So when you start rotting from the inside because your wound got infected, find me." her voice was cheery. "I want to be able to say I told you so again." And then, at that time, she would debate tackling.

"You seem to assume that all things such as this will become infected," Azumoth raised a brow at the cheery tone of the mare and confirmed in his mind that she had a slightly sadistic streak. She was clearly proud of who and what she was and about as subtle as a brick. In ways he appreciated the honesty but in other ways he could see the danger it may pose to her around other individuals.
"Whereas I assume that those of a stronger calibre shall be just fine," he explained, though he was indirectly referring to his chance to atone and should it get infected then he would see that as part of the process as well. Stubborn as a mule, it would take more than an insistent helper to make him see differently and should she really decide to tackle him she would just have to be thrown off accordingly.
"That being said you have not said 'I told you so' directly to my face a first time, so how can it be for a second if you find me again?" He enquired, a small smirk flashing up onto his lips. Oh he had known by her face that she wanted to say it but she hadn't actually said it to his face...so really her words were a tiny bit off. If she could be cheery when she was making fun of his wounds then he could be cheery as he nitpicked at her words!

Hmm... she was sort of assuming that, wasn't she. Her head tilted for a moment, and she pondered the stallion in front of her. "Just because you're strong on the outside doesn't mean your innards are strong too." she informed him pertly. "Though you are, I am sure, know your body better than I. I am of the 'better be safe than sorry' school of thought, however. If you die, it does tend to severely limit the things you can and cannot do."
So he wanted to pick on her, did he? She looked at him for a moment, poker-faced, before a corner of her mouth turned up. "I. Told. You. Sooo." the words came out in a deliberate sing-song. And she looked so very pleased with herself, too.

Ahaha...
He broke a smile at the sing song tone and shook his head, truly he had walked into that and yet he couldn't be angry. She was truly blunt but this in itself was appealing - she had after all been unafraid to state her views and this was a desirable quality. In a way, unlike all those he had met she hadn't pandered to whims or pretended to be something she wasn't - she was exactly who she said she was.
A spoilt princess.
Yet...so very appealing at the same time and he couldn't help but smile. In a way she sounded like a mother hen (best not to tell her that though), in her own way she cared even if it was in a rather harsh manner. Such a quirky nature when viewed by such a peculiar stallion was therefore amusing, she was an oddball to be sure.
"Ah, so you are a singer now, are you?" He jested.

She tossed her head, preening a bit. "I don't know if I am a singer or not. I pondered it for a short time, but there is the issue of... I can't really sing all that well." she looked briefly mock-sorrowed. "Do you think I could make a living out of it?" her eyes were dancing. "I could charge an apple as a fee to come hear me sing, and you could be the bouncer. I'd give you a cut of the apples..."

Bouncer...?
Well, at least she wasn't above stereotyping as she generalised him by appearance again. Christ, for all she knew he could be a big teddy bear who was incapable of defending anyone. This of course was a complete and utter lie given he could hold his own against anything but alas... Well let's be honest, it wasn't that he wouldn't make a good bouncer but he wasn't exactly and avid socialite either and the concept of manhandling any other soquili just for a few apples wasn't as tempting as it may sound to others.
"I fear I may have to decline," he replied at last, a ghostly smile on his lips as he attempted to follow along with her jest. Ever one to struggle when expressing himself in any other way than grumpy, smiles and jokes were foreign to him when in the presence of strangers.
"For the sake of my ears I suspect, as opposed to my eyes." A veiled compliment and insult all rolled in to one but she had said she couldn't sing!

The preening ground to a halt, and her lips quirked in small amusement. "For the sake of your ears, you made the wise decision." she agreed ruefully. "Soquili aren't made to be singers, I fear. At least not this one." She leaned down to snatch a bit of one of the weeds popping up from the sandy beaches. "But sir, I fear it may be too late for the damage to your eyes." Her grin was mischievous. She wasn't looking for compliments; she did have a fairly severe complex about her looks. But she was a tomboy, what was she to expect? As active as she was, it would be hard to keep up a neat appearance...

Ah, then now wasn't a good time to inform the mare that he had a rather good singing voice and practised in the safety of his own Grove. A firm believer in the view that all soquili had unique gifts, he had found that one of his was the ability to sing. While not in the same manner as the birds, his voice did hold a rather exotic quality that he had used to his advantage more for bad than for good. To say he was self concious was an understatement - actually, there were really no words to describe his dislike of being overheard.
Well...not until his darker side came out at least.
Ah yes, the moment such dark desires escaped him it would coax the voice form his chest as a lure. Like a moth to a flame, the creatures would come and should they be a mare...Well, the results could be devastating. Little did Azumoth know that such a voice could be used to his advantage for good too - christ, maybe he would have been dating by now if he did.
"Everyone can sing in their own way, you just have to find your scale."

She gave him a sly look out of the corner of her eye. "Oh really." she moved imperiously back to her rock, taking pose as though she were a singer about to perform. "And what piece would you like to hear, good sir? I don't have much in my repe... song list, but you may pick from..." she trailed off, pondering which songs she was best at.
She didn't want to kill his ears, just make his apparently strong belief that everyone could sing as rock-solid as the sand he was standing on. "Pick a number from one to five."
