She ignored the weight comment and just focused on reaching up to the bar that was slowly coming closer. "Just a little more..." she grunted as her finger-tips brushed the metal surface and then finally latched on.
"Got it!" She exclaimed happily. With both her hands now holding onto the bar and her tail still securely coiled, she looked down at Taki from over her shoulder.
"Can I let go?"

Taki stepped back hurriedly, to get out of the way of the bottom half of Keres. "Yeah you can, I think..." Taki scratched at his head, and then scampered back up to the surface to climb onto the monkey bars again, perching himself atop them.
Of course, Calder picked that moment to emerge from the school, flipping through some papers distractedly. He glanced around, and when he spotted Taki atop the playground rather than running around in it, he hurried towards the park area. "Taki! Get down from there! You're going to fall and crack your head open!"
"Papa!" he cried joyfully, instead of listening to Calder's orders, and climbed to his feet. "I will not fall, see?! I never fall on my head. Only on my feet!" He climbed down between the bars, though, and hung so that he could look at Keres. "Look! It's my papa! I bet he knows lossa riddles too!"

Keres looked at Taki, her eyes un-narrowing at the yelling man when she learned who it was. "Oh," she stated, and finally let go of the monkey bar. She flopped onto the ground with some grace - at least she landed on all four feet.
"Not as many as me!" She smirked and looked up at her friend, then let out a little laugh and gave something of a smile so it looked like she was just poking fun. Golden wings fluttered lightly behind her back for a moment and she turned her head away from Taki and looked over at Rann... who unfortunately was still there. Keres had hoped that she'd just go poof so that she wouldn't have to leave the playground. ever.
Too bad that wasn't going to happen.
"Keres, start saying Bye to your friend there."

Taki dropped to the ground, and frowned over at his papa. "Do we gotta go, too?" He looked up at Keres, and sighed. "I don't wanna leave."
"I'm afraid I have other business to attend to... Er... I'm Calder, Taki's caretaker. Obviously." He smiled and extended a hand towards Rann, looking her over curiously.
"Hey, Keres! Maybe you can come over and see all my papa's books sometime!" Taki said excitedly, eyes bright and tail swishing joyfully.

Grownups were always there to ruin the fun...
Keres sighed, at the thought of departure, but brightened almost immediately a second later. "Yeah!" she exclaimed enthusiastically and clapped her small tawny hands together. "That'd be cool!" Books and books on riddles? What could be better?! ... The sphinx-child put aside the fact that she couldn't read; it was no big deal, she could just make Taki do that.
"It's nice t'meet you, Calder," Rann stated as she took his hand and shook it. "I'm Rann... and er, sor'uh caretaykuh' of Keres? She's my sister's kid; I'm jus' the enslaved 'elp." She gave a light chuckle and then looked down at said kid.
"Time to go, brat."
"NOOOO!" Keres cried, her eyes narrowing and her serpent tail swaying dangerously. ...Her "scary"-ness was ignored, however.

"Well, it was nice meeting you. Good luck... with her..." Calder loked down at Keres, then caught Taki's hand before he could scamper off again. In an obligatory cat manner, Taki fought at the grip on his hand, but eventually gave up, letting Calder lead him off down the sidewalk.
"Byeee Keres!" Taki called out, twisting his head around to look at the sphinx girl one last time.
He didn't seem very unhappy, though, skipping along beside Calder as he rattled off the afternoon's adventure.

Rann gave a nod and a smile in silent reply before she too grabbed her own charge... who struggled far more than the other child had.
"I don't want to gooooooooo!" Keres wailed and snarled. She tried to wrench herself free to the point where she was up on her hind legs - which made her quite tall - and was using her tail as a balancer. "NOoooooo-BYE TAKI!" The child quickled chimed, all happy like, and looked over her shoulder to smile a good bye at her friend before going all devil-kid like when she turned back to Rann. "LEGGO!"
....Rann just stood there, her arm out to the side as a "good god" exasperated face plastered itself to her.
