Faust wasn't really sure how to order food in a Japanese restaurant. He placed himself near the girl (without seeming too creepy), waiting hopefully for someone to notice him. He wasn't really hungry--that was an effect of the drugs he seemed to be taking more and more often-- but something about the humanity of ordering food was very attractive at the moment.

*Netsubo glanced at the menu and looked up as a waitress came to take her order*
"Pork soba and a pepsi please...."*That was all. The waitress moved away to get her order. Netsubo fiddled with her chopsticks while she waited...maybe she and her band would get together and perform in the street today...They sang Evanescence and Linkin Park and any other rock or Visual Kei songs they liked. Netsubo was the lead female singer and lead guitarist*

"Just coffee, please," Faust said when the waitress appeared next to him. She looked incredibly confused. He realized that it was because, in Japanese, there was no straight "F" sound. The Japanese pronunciation should be more along the lines of "Kohii." He stammered his revised order, adding that he would just take it black when asked if he wanted cream or sugar.

*Netsubo kept her eyes on the strange forigner....Something about him seemed strange....She wouldn't take any chances. Her food arrived and she picked at it, stirring her soup with her chopsticks.*

Faust sipped his coffee, secretly watching the girl watch him. His stomach cramped and spasmed when he swallowed; it had been ages since he'd eaten anything. He hid his grimace; he was Faust VIII, after all! Parents in Leipzig warned their children about him. He would not be defeated by a cup of coffee, especially not in front of another Shaman.

*Netsubo sighed and stood up.. Her appitite was gone...She left her money on the table and walked out..She took out her cell phone and gave Hige a call...She made an arrangement for them to give a bit of a performance in the park in an hour. She might not like people, but she'd entertain them if they were willing to pay*

Faust stood and followed her. At this point, he didn't care if he was being obvious. He just wanted to know that he wasn't alone in the world, even if everyone like him was his enemy.

*Netsubo knew he was following her, but she ignored him. When she got to the park, the others were there waiting for her with her guitar. She set up her amp and tuned the strings. They were ready to play. Their first song would be Going Under. They started their countdown*

Faust watched from the center of the small crowd that was gathering. One thing that was nice about his formidable height was the fact that, no matter how much he became like a ghost in other ways, he couldn't be ignored by the living. They skirted away from him uneasily, unable to pinpoint what exactly it was that made being around him so frightening.

*Netsubo started to sing. What she liked about all of Evanescence's songs was that they were dark and gothicy*
"Now I will tell you what I've done for you...50,000 tears I've cried. Screaming, decieveing and bleeding for you. and you still won't hear me. Don't wnat your hand this time I'll save myself. Maybe I'll wake up for once. Not tormented daily defeated by you. Just when I thought I'd reached the bottom. I'm dying again, I'm going under. Drowning in you. I'm falling forever. I've got to break through. I'm...going under...."*along with this she played the lead guitar part. This was what she loved..Music*

Faust was impressed. He'd been a musician a long time ago, back when he still had a song in his heart, and he had to admit that Shizuka had talent. But the nature of the song was so depressing... that was something Faust couldn't understand about goth music. How could they take something so real, so painful, so close to home, and turn it into entertainment?

*Netsubo finished the song and moved on to the next one...this one was not widely known. It was called 'Forever Gone, Forever You.' The last time she had checked, it was unrealeased. (ITS AN AWESOME SONG!)
"I wanted you to be with me For so long I don't even know why now But now that I've given up on you Defiantly you see me
Walking away I see the pain You put me through Lost in your game to change the same Forever gone, forever you"

Netsubo put so much feeling into the song... if Faust's body hadn't been so screwed up with the drugs he was taking, he probably would have cried.

"There's something very wrong about this I think you knew all along somehow You'll only take me to change my mind And leave me broken and defeated
So far away I see the truth I see through you Now that I know the way you play I don't want to
Walking away I see the pain You put me through Lost in your game to change the same Forever gone, forever you"
*After this song, she went through Bring Me To Life, Everybody's Fool, Taking Over Me, Whisper, and Call Me When You're Sober. People in the audience threw money to them after all the songs were over. Netsubo smiled. She felt a bit better now, even if there was some strange guy tailing her..The gang divided the money and went their separet ways..Netsubo wasn't sure what to do now..She still saw that guy...Should she talk to him?*

((funny you should write about performing for tips, I'm a street musician! biggrin I just finished playing a little while ago.))
Faust didn't have much money. He'd spent it all in the name of science, and then he'd sold his possessions, and then his home. Even though he was probably the world's poorest doctor, he found a few hundred yen and tossed it in Netsubo's guitar case.
