"You um, need to hang it around your neck and strap it around your waist," the kid says, looking hesitant. But he was just a kid, too, right?
Meanwhile Kitsu is creeping through the room full of giant plastic covered shapes, her gun in her hands like the person in the movie had held it. She doesn't expect him to have given up easily, and jumps at the smallest sound.
But it's better than leaving him in the movie to ruin things for everyone else.

Ink scowls deeply. "Dun help me, I know how t' do it!" he growls impatiently. Of course he knew that. He rushes forward into the room without another thought.
The gun feels a little bulky in his hands, as his own, not too far away in his inner jacket pocket, is much smaller and sleeker. Still, as with almost any weapon, it feels as natural to him as another limb.. one to be utilized to annihilate someone else. Or, in this case, just zap them with a laser.
.. Right?

She's scared, but at the same time she feels a little thrill of excitement. It's just a game, after all. She hugs the gun to her chest, waiting patiently behind one of the larger plastic thing, listening to his heavy footsteps as he enters the room.
She can almost pinpoint exactly where he is, but she waits for him to get closer, sure she'll blow her cover before she's ready to shoot.

Humming the tune to Mission Impossible, Ink makes a point to let her know where he is. He's tired of hiding, quite frankly, and seems to think that by providing her the upper hand, he'll have her where he wants her. Somehow.
"Beastie, beastie, hidin' in her cave, beastie, beastie, poor thing's never shaved.." he sings off-tune, making it up when he goes along. He crouches and presses against the plastic walls over dramatically, taking this thing with a pinch of humour.

Never shaved?! She twists, aiming directly at him with her gun and firing, only to flush in shock and hide once again as soon as she does. She had just SHOT him!

The gun vibrates, signaling that he's just been hit. But.. not by her! As it appears, they aren't the only ones playing, to his disappointment. Still, Ink shrugs, a game's a game. And a bigger audience.. creates an even bigger splash in the end.
Ink locks onto a blue flash of light and shoots it without a second thought.

She jumps as the gun in her hand vibrates. Someone had shot her! She turns, shooting at where the shot had come from and forgetting entirely that she had lured Ink in here to save the movie watchers.
Lazer tag is fun!

Ink leads himself deeper and deeper into the maze, which seems to span a great deal of floorspace. He successfully hits every target he aims for, and allows himself to get struck numerous times. The sound effects blare loudly overhead, and he is quickly lost in the fun of the game, one that, for once, doesn't have real casualties.
However, on the same token, he loses sight of Kitsu, but not entirely forgetting her.

She, though, forgets about him completely until she finds herself face to face with him a few minutes later. Without a thought she raises her gun, aiming at his badge.

Stopping in his place, Ink turns slowly, meeting her with his gun out. A smile stretches across his face as his eyes, now a startling amber in colour, lock onto hers.
"We meet again, pretty," he croons, once again invading her personal space, keeping only the guns between them.

She takes a hesitant step back, her hind legs prancing as the hands holding her gun start to waiver. Her smile falls from her lips as she gets a flashback from the movie.
Then something buzzes and she remembers what they're doing.
She pulls the trigger with a little smile, aiming straight at his heart.

Ink sprawls backwards, horror washing over his face. He holds his hand to his chest where the laser would have hit, had it been real. At first, he seems to be making a big deal out of nothing, but it soon appears otherwise.
Coincidentally, at the time of the shot, an obscenely loud gorilla cry masked any other sound, to Ink's utter convenience. Crimson liquid seeps through the chest plate and drenches the hand he clutches to his chest. He lets out a terrible cough, blood drizzling out the corner of his mouth.

A look of shock crosses her face, then horror, and she lunges forward to try and grab him before he falls down. How had that happened? She iss close to tears at the idea that she has actually killed someone, no matter how horrid they might be.

Ink chokes on his own blood, falling limp into Kitsu's arms. Someone else screams, which sets off a chain of panic throughout the game's players. He claws weakly at her arm, sucking in air as he brings his other hand, mysteriously lost inside his jacket before this, back through its sleeve and works loose the chest plate.
"Don't move him!" a man shouts, presumably a manager or a man of authority, charging toward them. The lights flicker on, and the maze looks very different and less glamorous with them on.

Kitsu stays completely still, still holding him and wondering how on earth such a thing had happend. She would ask him, but she doesn't speak, so she turns her head to look for the authority that had told her not to move him.
