xD I used to have that problem all the time. I'd get so frustrated! One of my best friend's mothers describled me once as "Cute and innocent. Sort of like a 8 year old." and I wasn't in loli. It's not a bad thing, but it's still a pain. I think it has to do with my bangs and braces.

~neko neko kitty~ You do look young, but I don't know if I'd say as young as 14. When I was 13 many people would mistake me for being 18 or 19, but as I grew older I never really lost all my baby fat in my cheeks and am fairly short, 5'3" and I've been estimated to be anywhere between 12 and 16 sometimes 22 if I'm dressed very casual and have my hair up right, and I'm 20. I think the funniest incident was when I was riding the train to move across country, I was 19 at the time. The trip took a couple of days and since I couldn't afford a room and am horribly claustrophobic I opted to just wear the same comfy outfit, sweats and a baggy shirt for the ride. The first guy to sit by my demanded to know where my parents were and when I told him I was traveling alone he was shocked and said he couldn't believe that any parent would let a 12 year old travel across country alone so I had to explain that I was 19 and been living on my own for 2 years, I still don't know if he believed me but he soon go off and then the next guy to sit by me, with me looking exactly the same swore I was 22. Normally I get people who think I'm younger than I am though, the average is about 16. rofl isn't perception strange? dear god, how long is your hair?! <3333

^^;; Miss Sushii is a very small person, so she's used to be mistaken for a child no matter what she wears. Sushii's friends tend to dote on her as well... and pet her on the head... It's a bit downgrading... >.>

O.O I'm also 18, and when I'm at a con, some people have asked me where my mommy is....I asked one how old they thought I was, actually a few people, and I've gotten from 12 to 14. I'm 5'4" I'll blame it on that....

You totally don't look kid's menu-age. I would've guessed 16 at least. The youngest age I've ever gotten was 13. I'm turning 18 in 4 months. Lmao

Lady Adokenai This afternoon, my Mom and I went to a restaurant called Friendly's for ice cream. I used to go there all the time when I was little, they have these awesome ice cream things that look like clowns... anyway, I was wearing my Metamorphose sailor zip up (which I totally recommend- worth every cent! they were on sale when I bought mine, so hurry and get one!!) and I had jeans on and my hair pulled back. When we walked in, the host greeted us and asked how many like usual. We said two. I sort of thought I was dreaming when he grabbed a kid's menu. rofl My Mom was more offended than I was; being a Lolita I was amused that my youthfulness had deceived him, even when I wasn't dressed up. XD Now, I know I look young, but not so young as to warrant a kid's menu! the lowest age people have thought I was is 11, but I get 14 most often. I'm really 18. (taken today-I look weird with my hair pulled back!) so-- Do I look 14? When do they usually stop giving you kid's menus? Has this ever happened to you? In loli or not? you look 16

I've been told I look younger than I am. I'm a senior now and people still confuse me for being a freshman after 3 years. I don't think my height is a factor, since I'm not that short. I guess I just have a youthful face? I'm not complaining. I've never complained. I always thought it was funny- especially because people would forget all the time how old I really am.

I wish I looked younger. Wearing gothic lolita makes me seem a bit younger, but my short hair balances it out. Of course when I am not dressed in lolita, people think I am 16 when I am only 14. tsh.

I don't have to wear lolita to be mistaken as being younger. I'm 18 and people at work said I looked 13 or something. eek I don't even think I look that young... Wonder how young I would look in lolita. -thinks to self-

Out of Lolita, my percieved age changes according with where I am
Anywhere near a bar or other drinking spot, most men swear I'm 21
Othertimes, I'm usually 19 to them
Once I was asked if I was married Dx
In Lolita, I was mistaken for a college student
I'm actually 16
