Terasu obliged and rolled the bag to the chosen corner, snug safely near the heater. A glance to the door told him Atae had rushed to the kitchen, and he gave a faint smile. Then he turned to his moody mate. "Bloody, now?" He'd have to leave the room then for her to eat peacefully. She was progressing greatly in her pregnancy though. Tummy was swollen with who knew how many eggs. The father to be scooted back and out of her way, sitting on the edge of the blue rug. "Come in." Who else would it be but Atae, hopefully with the right meal.

Charity seemed satisfied as he settled the beanbag down. She was about to say something to Terasu when there was a knock on the door and she waddled quickly, or as quickly as she could... to allow Atae in with the meat. Snatching it ravenously, she sniffed at it and wrinkled her nose. "Its fresh..." she muttered, "but it'll do." It was something atleast. Without so much as a 'thank you' she waddled into a corner with it and started tearing into the hunk of flesh. Noisily consuming it... Rar rar rar. Approach and die.

Atae just sort of blinked and watched Charity walk off with the meat and start eating. Finally she just shook her head and looked over at Terasu, sweatdropping slightly. Then she shrugged and started trying to clean the blood off her muzzle. Well... at least Charity hadn't rejected it. It would have been a much longer wait if she'd had to go and try to catch something herself. She didn't exactly hunt often...
Muzzle as clean as she could get it without clean water and probably some soap Atae sat with her tails curled around her paws. "Ah... anything else I can help with?" She sincerely hoped she wasn't going to regret asking that question. >>;

Terasu just gave a soft grin to Atae, as a 'don't mind her' hint. Though he too keep a strong distance from the bloody meat, the smell already driving him mad. And he was forced to wait for Atae to clean her muzzle before approaching her. The purple male sat beside his 'sibling' making a hush motion with his paw. "Let's just let her eat in peace." He moved to the doorway, urging Atae along. Not the best idea for him to stay in the scent. "We'll be right outside, Charity." He paused to see if she needed anything else.

Charity just gave a brief nod as the two excused themselves. She was -starving- so she didn't care one way or the other. Having so many eggs in her belly drained her of so much energy and she had to replenish it wtih a lot of food. So she just ate.

Atae kept quiet and padded out after Terasu, making sure the door was closed behind her. "That stuff tastes weird..." Atae began her tell-tale fidget of rubbing one forepaw with the other and sighed. She felt rather at loose ends now. "Terasu... I don't mean to run off on you, but... eh... I have no idea what to do right now." She wanted to visit with him and all but she had a distinct third wheel feeling at the moment and... Charity was unnerving. She didn't know if she should stay or not.

The male chuckled at Atae. "Yeah, I don't care for it much either." Being under its influence though, that was a totally different story. Eyes blinked, noticing Atae's fidgets and Terasu smiled up to his friend. "You sure? I don't know how long the room will be off limits." x_x It was like a death zone, needing a 'stay out' sign on the door. "Thanks for the beanbag though Atae, it'll be put to good use."

Atae grinned a bit sheepishly. "I'll stay until she calls you back in... but I think I'll go then. Ah... I guess I can tell you about what we've heard from Ed?" At this point there hadn't been a lot to report, Ed had just been traveling. Atae also shared some of Bryna's antics so Terasu could know a bit more about his "attacker" earlier. Even talking about some of the things Bryna did made Atae laugh. Then she proceeded to prod at Terasu about what he'd been up to - that she actually wanted to know about. Some things were better left undisclosed, after all. x.X Still... idle chatter was a good way to pass the time.

Terasu listened on with the occasional nod and blink. So Ed had traveled with his mother? Last he knew, it was a sticky situation for him with their childhood friend, Lily. Well, she had been more a friend with Ed like Atae and himself. Strange how it sort of fell into groupings...
He did chuckle about his attacker though. "She sounds like a good kid. Just...has a different wavelength than other youngsters." But variety was definately good. "Heh, could you imagine the wavelength of the kits to come?" It made him grin and sweat drop at the same time. "As for myself, I haven't done much of anything lately. I do worry about things though." It felt like certain topics just would never leave his mind. "I...saw my dad the other day."

Atae paused at that, blinking slightly. "I've never met your dad... I don't think I've met your sister, either..." She didn't see her blood-family much these days but... at least she saw them once in a while. And she usually saw her parents together. However distant she was from them emotionally at least she had that small comfort. "So what happened when you saw him?"

No, she never had. Not anyone really had seen his father or sibling. "Heh, it was awkward. I couldn't help but think....I look nothing like him. While my sister holds the same red and such." He shook his head, a strained smile on his maw. "But, he seemed really timid. I tried to convince him to visit more often, especially with kits on the way."

Atae hmmed thoughtfully. "I look... mostly like my mom too. Heh. I don't guess you've ever met any of my family either, though, huh? They seem to stay up on the Mountain... and I seem to stay more down here. But... you and Endless are more like family to me than they are." She stretched out on the floor and plunked her head between her paws. "My grandda is awesome, though... I should see if I can get him to come down and meet you guys sometime. My dad... he's timid too, come to think of it. More when people get very close than anything... Endless says he wasn't always like that but nobody seems to have any idea what... changed." She huffed and her bangs fluttered in the air for a moment. "Oh well, whatever. Our real families suck for the most part so we just have to keep building on the ones we're making for ourselves. Blood family will either join in or... well, if they don't it's not like it's going to be any different than it has been already."
She sat up and mussed up Terasu's head-fur. "I hope your dad visits, but if he's really that timid, your kids and Charity will probably make him jump every five seconds." =P She was trying to make light of the situation and she didn't know if she should... but... meh... they couldn't make the decisions for their family members so they really would just have to make due. And it wasn't going to do the people they did have around that cared about them any good to get down in the dumps about things.

A shook was given when Atae asked him about her own family. He hadn't met any of her family either. No wonder, considering they lived in mountain. The mention of grandparents was a new topic to him. There was none on his mother's side, and he had never even heard the name's of those of his father. Green eyes followed as she slunk to the floor. "That's what I've been told to. My dad changed.....just not to timid." He didn't know the story, and honestly didn't want to be told of it. But, like Atae said, they had to move on. At least the boy had done his own part and forgiven his father for whatever the past mistake was. He wondered if his mother would ever get the chance too.
"Well geez, we've built quite a strange family then." A boyish laugh came from him, finding it amusing how titles of brother and sister seemed to just bloom out of nowhere. As to his kits.... "Oh boy, I hope they are tame little children." It was strange enough being a dad, let alone one with hyperactive kits.

Atae snickered. "Well, maybe you'll get lucky with the kits. If not... well, we've got a trio of perma-kit terrors at home, so if you need baby sitters just come grab someone. We've all gotten pretty used to dealing with hyper little mischief makers..." She sweatdropped and then stuck her tongue out. "I gotta admit... I wonder what they'll look like."

Terasu stuck his own tongue out. "Yeah? Well keep an ear open. I'll probably come running to ya to dump off some little ones." Dear goodness he prayed they were sweet-natured young ones. If not, he'd probably get a temper like his own mom and bop them one for manners. His white tails curled around his paws, his back leaning against the wall. "Hmm, who knows. I'm sure the ouroboros will get passed down. Perhaps some green feathers." He shrugged at all the strange possibilities.
