Yuki was walking slowly through the trees, taking careful steps over the roots. She stumbled over a small rock."Ow!" she had stubbed her toe. "Thie soul will be......" she noticed it was a rock. "Whatever." she got up and kept walking. She eventually made it to a small clearing. "It'll have to do." she said. She walked into the middle of the clearing and started playing her small harp.

With a polite nod, Skye accepted the girl's invitation and sat down. Her gut told her this could just be the opportunity she had been waiting for. Even though she enjoyed to travel alone, and she could almoust picture the face of her Elvish mother if she had found her in such a company, Skue was forced to admit she was making no real progress on her own, and so she swallowed all her prejudices and acted as polite as she could be, remembering the old etiquette rules she had once known.

heart <(''<) <( '' )> (>'')> heart Dancing... Luxia paused a moment, then began telling Skye of her journey. "I am looking for the man they call Dra'an. The man from the stories. But I would rather not tell you the nature for which I am searching. I hope that once I find out what I need, I can kill him, so that our lands may be at peace again." She watched Skye, then continued. "But I know that finding him is no easy task. I have discovered that I would need others to travel with in order to get to my destination. I have had leads, and was hoping to start in the Elven Lands, they know the most about Dra'an and may even know his whereabouts." Luxia waited to see what Skye would say. ...Kirby! heart <(''<) <( '' )> (>'')> heart

A small figure sat up in a tree near the clearing where Yuki had entered. A gentle breeze swished her silver blue strands lightly against her face as she slept, a single sandaled foot rocking slightly as her leg dangled from the branch. "Delfa", a soft voice spoke. "Delfa, wake up. Its already past morning." After a moment, the girl's eyes slowly opened and she stretched out over the wood, letting out a yawn. "Mmmmm....Sorry." The girl scratched her head lightly. "I guess I was really tired." "Well you've had nothing to eat since leaving the last town", the voice seemed to scold. "You're probably low on energy." "But we're almost to Al'Diku now, right?" "Yes, but there's still some distance left. You should find something to eat and regain your strength." "Okay. I'm sure there's probably something around here. Not all of the trees can be fruitless." It was then that Delfa's ears twitched at the sound of Yuki beginning to play. "What's that?" "Sounds like a Harp, I think." She quickly gathered her satchel onto her shoulders and swung down off the brunch, somersaulting in the air a few times before landing in the bushes. She then walked through them toward the direction of the music, soon reaching the clearing.

Skye listened to the girl silently, barely restraining a laugh. It was so strange the way Fate actedact! "It seems like destiny we have crossed paths, then" She said finally "For I also seek to find and destroy Dra'an." - "And to find the artifact", she thought, but didn't say it out loud - "and I have been looking for someone who can accompany me into the Elven lands..."

There are no such things as coincidence.Zayu's ears perked up in an instant. Dra'an. The name was too familiar for her comfort. She debated whether or not she should join their 'quest,' but if she had a cover, Zayu would feel better. She paid for her breakfast, and ordered a jug of water. 'To join or not to join, that is the question.' There is only hitsuzen

((YES!!! I finally found this thread! I was really getting anxious when it just disappeared from the main threads of the guild.))
Kid blushed deep red as the man talked about him openly in such ways, "N-no! You got it all wrong! I was always taught to be polite, so..." his voice died down as William began on another toppic, then yet another. It was starting to estrange him, but nevertheless, he liked the man's attitude, and happily listened to what the man talked about.
"They sure have a nice diet!" Kid laughed a bit before getting solemn himself, paying respect, "I really admire the way they fast," he spoke as if he personally knew them, and looked out the window in deep thought.
"I am looking for a man they call Dra'an" Those words caught Kid's attention, and he immediately turned his head the other way, striving to listen to the conversation going along in the other table. Dra'an... Could it be?... He saw two Elvish-looking women talking to each other, as seen by their obvious pointy ears.
"It seems like destiny we have crossed paths, then. For I also seek to find and destroy Dra'an and I have been looking for someone who can accompany me into the Elven lands..." One of them spoke, and that only affirmed his suspicions. He looked back towards William, and smiled nervously at his odd actions, though he kept a stern ear towards the women's conversation.

heart Luxia smiled. Yes, destiny and fate are funny that way. "Well, I am glad fate is on our side. It really has not been of late." Her tale twitched at the thougt. She hated to think of her brother and would rather not have to tell this woman of him. "But, tell me, will you join me in the journey? Since we seem to be traveling the same way." As she said this, she could sense that others were either watching or listening to them. She crossed her arms and shifted her weight in her chair, and her ears pinned against her head. heart

There are no such things as coincidence.((Oh, you found it.))
Seeing how the one called 'Luxia' already knew that she was listening, Zayu got up and walked over. "I couldn't help but over hearing your conversation." She stayed standing up, since she wasn't invited to sit down. "It caught my attention, quite rapidly, and seeing how this place isn't so crowded with hu- other people, it was easy to over hear." Zayu smiled. "I'm not too sure if your invitation extends to me as well, but if it does, I'd except." She bit her tongue, hoping she wasn't being too rash. But on the other hand, if she was allowed to join these people on their quest, it would make her job that much easier. There is only hitsuzen

{{okay skimmed the pages since I figured I shouldn't know everything since my character wasn't there but I just wanted to be clear. Everyone is in the forests outside the city of Al'Diku right?}}
Moving lightly through the deep brush and foliage he crept up to the edge of the clearing. His hand was tight on the hilt of a small throwing knife, weary of the pair he saw in the open area. The harp he had heard playing had his mind spinning about the thoughts of a trap. He took a moment and breathed deep, these two were to young to have anything to do with him. Stepping out he pulled the hood of his cowl from his head and offered a friendly nod to the pair and held his hands wide to show he was no threat.
"Greetings to the pair of you, I couldn't help but hear the kind music you played into this silent forest." He spoke, sweeping into a low bow, eyes watching them but with no threat or caution.

((Actually, a majority are conversing and consuming at the tavern. xD ))
"Say true, laddy," Will said, noting with a certain satisfaction of the disappearing colors. "Ya got somethin' on yer mind, don't'cha now?" He thumbed the stray grains of rice from his face and stubble and became all ears. He propped his elbows on the table, shaking the tails of the bandana so they molded themselves over his shoulder. "You can tell yer new pal, can'tcha?"

Skye was aware of the sudden stress that filled the room at the mention of the name Dra'an. Looking around, she saw people stirr in their places, paying attention to their conversation. "I would very much like to join you." She said with a smile "It would be foolish to dismiss any help Fate is willing to give..." And Fate did seem to be rather generous that morning, as another woman walked to them and offered to join the journey...

((Just to let you all know that I shall be leaving for an extended period of time. This being from this Sunday to Next Saturday, unfortunately. I can make no promises of if I can check on this roleplay in betwixt now and then, but I shall make an effort to do so.))

Yuki's eyes shot open. She was so cought up in the sound of her harp that she hadn't noticed the people who had entered the clearing. She stood up and tried to run, but tripped over an unknown object, landing her head on a rock. She tried to speak as her head began to leed. "My soul shan't... be... in thie.....grasp." she was out cold.

heart Luxia could tell that speaking of Dra'an a loud was a bad idea around here. She looked to the woman who had just appeared. Luxia smiled and her ears pirked up again. "I will welcome any help that is offered. Since I am not skilled much in the ways of fighting, it would be nice to have help." She looked around at the people who were staring. "But I feel that there are more who may wish to join us." She said. heart
