Saeraphena slowly pawed behind the male, keeping herself low to the ground, her eyes jerking all around looking and waiting for something, something she was so sure, would pop out and attack her. She followed close not noticing the male stopping to give her the next instruction and running into him.
"Ouch" she smarked. " I am so sorry" she mummered as she lowered her head.

"Itss alright." Turning around to face his student, Sinent blinked as he found that she to had grown into an adult. "My, I turn away for one moment and you grow into a beautiful young lady." Smiling slightly, the snake like male sat down facing Saeraphena and put a paw into the air. "First lessson. There iss more than one way to find ssomething... and we sshall use the animalss in the long grasss as practice."

She smiled and lowered her head, she didn't notice that she grew. "Whhhyyy thank you" she stammered as she looked away. Blinking she looked up through the grass. "Um.... so did you" she said blinking... "uh... um...yes animals!" as she straightened her stance waiting her lessons

Giving a polite nod as she spoke to him, Sinenet made a large arch with his paw as he moved it from left to right. "Now tell me what you can ssee from right here? Can you ssee through the long grasss or does it block your vission?" Letting his own eyes wonder around the small circlet that was created by their bodies, the male found small things but nothing else.

" I see.... I seee..." she lowered her head to the ground to get a better look.
" I see a rock...bugs.." she said cringing a little "and grass...lots of grass." she felt as though this wasn't the answer he was looking for. However, it was what she saw. She lowered herself to the ground trying hard to notice anything else.

"Alright. Now I want you to closse your eyess and tell me what you ssee... But I want you to usse your hearing. Hence the clossed eyess." Not expecting the female to hear much of anything on her first try, Sinent watched and waited silently for her to answer his question.

She closed her eyes and laid herself low in the grass, as she listened she could make out the sound of the crickets nearby, she also heard the sound of Sinent breathing. She strained her ears more, but was disrupted by a low rumble. Quickly opening her eyes she twirled around looking at Sin. " I..I heard...crickets...yes crickets..." she half smiled.

"Good job for the firsst try. Now let me tell you what I can ssee." Never opening his eyes as he spoke to Saeraphena, Sinent flicked an ear before continuing. "I hear a brussh bird, ssoftly cooing to her young while the cricketss ssound an alarm becausse of a hungery lizzard. The ssoft ssound of a far off sstream, a fox a few meterss to the easst, and Ssnake ssilently making her way over here." Smiling slightly, he began once again. "Your heartbeat, breathing and consstant sshifting." Slowly opening his eyes, the snake like teacher nodded his head as if to conferm his statement.

She eyes him oddly, his ears must have been extemely good when It came to hearing, "how did he hear all of that?" she thought to herself as she nodded silently hanging her head a little, showing that she knew to herself that she had failed.

Realizing that the female thought she had failed by the way she moved, Sinent spoke up trying to cheer her up. "Do not be disscoraged, you did very well for your firsst try." Scratching the side of his arm in an unexpected itch before continuing. "I heard the ssoundss becausse I knew what makess them. If you make yoursself part of nature, nature will talk to you. Ssuch asss Seris sspeakss to me..." Feeling the snake slide up his arm and drape herself around his neck, Sinent smiled pleasently.

She jumped back quickly, so quick she was on her backside before she knew it. The snake had caught her off guard. She started at her teacher and back at the snake. "Um...." she shook a little, " Are....you sure that is safe? I don't think snakes are..." She paused as she almost forgot, that sinent, reminded her of a snake.

"Trusst worthy?" Chuckling slightly as he completed the sentance, Sinent felt Seris move slightly as he continued. "You needn't worry Misss Ssaeraphena. Sshe lisstenss to me, and asss long asss you trusst me sshe won't hurt me or you." Smilling kindly at the female, the Snake like male was intent on making Saera as confident around Seris as she was with Sinent.

She eyed it wearly as it slithered along Sinent's body. "Iiiii gueesss, if you say its ok..." she paused, "So her name is Seris.... Where did you erm...find her. If you don't mind me asking" She was trying to calm her mind about the snake, she always saw them as dangerous, but here was one who was so close to someone she saw as a mentor. If this one was good, then she would try

"I ssaved her from a poacher'ss trap... Sshe'ss been with me ever ssince." Smiling, Sinent ran his paw over the part of Seris's body that had three small scars adorning her scales. "But let uss move on to the next lessson. We will practice lisstening when the ssun ssetss." Picking himself off the ground, the male turned to face the wall of long grass. "Sstay closse."
