Groz nodded at Rate's command. Rate apparently had some plan, which was a hell of a lot better than the non-existant ideas in his head. Besides, he owed his life to Rit and would do whatever he asked. He jumped halfway up the ladder before grabbing on and climbing, so that Rit could follow without delay. He reached the window and threw himself through, which was not an easy process for the oversized Wookiee. After collecting himself from hitting his head, he stood up brushed himself off and motioned towards the door.

<Are we going to wait here or go out that way?>

(OOC: We're not after you Elvis, nor was the shot that killed the imperial officer from your store. It was from a hunter somewhere across the street. The Imperial blowing a hole in your wall was just a case of plain stupidity on the part of the imp... And my character knows it.)

"Cease fire!!!" Saburo Akaga screamed as the two other tanks whirred their turrets to face the store. "Baka! Kriffen baka!" Saburo swore as he ran to the tank that had first fired and pulled the gunner from his seat, ignoring the danger of a second shot from the sniper still out there.

Pulling out his service pistol he clubbed the terrified Sergeant across the face spilling him off the tank and dropping him to the ground, "******** moron!"

The sergeant lay shocked on the ground with blood begining to filter out of his broken nose. Then Saburo took a deep breath as his Operations officer, Captain Mavied Riktofen, walked up behind him. Still tense Saburo yelled without turning, "Captain, I want this sergeant stripped of rank and transfered over to 1st Battalion, tell Major Tyrr that if he can't get the boy to wisen up, he has my permission to shoot him."

"Yes sir," The Captain as a blaster shot echoed from across the street. Saburo continued, "And pay for the damages to the store, we don't want to give the civies the wrong impression."

Turning to the opposite side Saburo watched as two stormtroopers dragged a battered man out of the house, his stomach scorched by a blaster graze. One of the stormtroopers carried out a slugthrowing rifle, it's bolt jammed by a casing that had failed to eject, he'd only been able to get off a single shot.

The man wore civilian clothes and as Saburo scanned over him his anger rose. No rank, no badge, no uniform... not even a commlink, and this man had killed one of his officers. It broke the rules of war, and if that was how locals were going to play it was time to drive this notion from their minds.

He glanced at the senior of the two stormtroopers, marked as a corporal by his grey pauldron, "Corporal."

"Sir," The trooper answered swiftly, saluting while carrying the wounded combatant.

"Are you familiar with the prescribed treatment of unlawful combatants in the rules of war?" The Colonel answered.

"Yes sir," The trooper answered immediately.

Saburo Akaga glanced at the thing which had killed the platoon leader, "Then execute them."

The two stormtroopers immediately let go of their prisoner dropping him to the ground and lifted their blaster rifles. Two more blaster shots thundered through the streets of New Karna, marking the end of one unlawful combatant.

Lener had been stocking shelves when he heard the initial shot. He had been walking towards the window to check the situation out when a high-energy shot, probably from a turret or something, came screaming through the window, melting a small section of the floor.

"Aw kriff!" He said, leaping to the side, huddling behind a shelf, watching as the other people did the same, and he waited for the imperials to come in, fully expecting to be arrested.

He heard the officer shouting mere moments later, although it seemed an eternity. The two succeeding blaster shots broke him out of his terror a little bit, but he stayed in his hiding place, just in case.

Rate propped himself against a wall and looked into the helmet. Throwing it to Groz he looked out through the space between two boards that covered a window overlooking the market."Invasions are disorienting to both sides, and before I take a step out any door, I want to figure out whats going on so we don't get our asses shot off. Find a way to disable the locater in that helm and also the transmitter, I want that to be my new radio without getting found out." He looked at the thermal detonator in his hand. and pondered why they would give one to such an idiot that would turn his back in a dark alley at a time like that. Clutching it some he peeked between the boards again and stuffed it deep into his bag."And quickly before they figure out this place is useless and make it into scrap."

Two Stormtroopers rushed through the door, and quickly scanned the room, they moved past the civilians without a glance and headed to the back of the store, the lead trooper stopped as he checked the last few places a PDF soldier could hide, "Clear!"

The two troopers visibly relaxed as Captain Riktofen stepped into the store through the large hole in the wall glancing at the damage to make a mental note of it, and what he guessed repairs would take. A thousand credits would be more then sufficient, perhaps a mere five hundred would be better.

He stepped up to the counter, "I'd like to speak with the proprietor.

* * *

The lock to the storage bay one block from the hanger burst open with a shower of sparks. Followed by two stormtroopers. Inside a mottley collection of aliens and humans grabbed for weapons scattered around the room, while three others in an airtight clean-room could only watch.

The two lead stormtroopers hurled plasma at their foes, taking two down before they could even grab their weapons. As slugs and blaster bolts began to leap toward the stormtroopers, two more leapt through the breach door, one armed with a T-21 repeating blaster. Both Stormtroopers leveled their weapons and systematically raked the room with blasterfire, nailing the eclectic mix of humans, twi'lek, and gran guards.

As the smoke cleared the three workers in the clean-room came out with their hands in the air, and an Imperial Lieutenant stepped into the room, he took one whiff of the contents of the container and knew what his troops had found: Spice!

A Glit distribution center holding three metric tons of the stuff was what he'd found and that was a little bit of information that would have to be passed up to the Colonel in charge of this dust ball. And where there was spice there was the slimely contrail of the Hutts.

Lenler stood up and walked over to his mother, helping her stand. Trying not to even think about the pistol he had concealed in his vest holster, lest he give it away, he watched his mother say to the Captain, "I'm Laurie Fafrin, and I'm the proprietor. Can we help you?"

<It's what I do best.>

Groz caught the helmet and went to work searching the inside. First went the padding, so he could see the wiring. He immediately found what seemed to be the commlink. After a few minutes of rushed mechanical moments, he had found what he believed was the transponder and carefully tried to remove it. This gambit was not quite successful so he instead he decided to just make sure it never worked again. With a careful twist of wires here, and some cutting there, a little good old fashioned ripping, and he had disabled- to the best of his ability- the locator and transponder for the helmet.

<One helmet without transponder, as ordered. So what's the plan, Rit?>

Rate took the helm and put the padding back in and pulled it over his head, should have kept the control bracer, he couldn't access other functions without it, but this was OK. He listened to the chatter back and forth and it seemed as most of the city had been whipped clean of defense forces, and there were a good few people holding up in an old church. But all where non-combatants it seemed. The planet hadn't lasted and hour, pathetic. But it wasn't like they had much, most shouldered these old looking slugthrowers, he maybe saw one or two blasters in the hands of DF soldiers.

"There are alot of civilians holding up in a church not far from here, seems the spot to go."
Pulling off the helm he tossed the E-11 to Groz he had looted from the stormie. He stuffed the helmet into his bag which made it bulge a bit."Lets go, their clearing out the market." He went over to the window and began to climb down, his Model 44 in hand.

Groz was no soldier, but he knew how to rumble. He cocked the gun to make sure it was loaded- full magazine. Perfect. He liked having a rifle, he had never really been able to afford one. He went to the window and waited until Rit was down. Then in one motion, he jumped from the window, hitting the ground with a pound, but landing on his feet. He grinned and waited to follow Rit.

"Quiet, Groz, quiet." Rate said and dashed from the alley and from cover to cover through the market until they found themselves moving down another alley toward the church. "The area around it is still heavy," Rate said as they came to a halt at the end of the alley and looked out, another plaza and they would be almost there. Looking around he found a few stormies stationed and cursed something in corillian. There was only three, and could be taken out easily.Takeing aim on one with his DL, he motioned to Groz to mark another, the last would die with two blaster blots to him."Ready?"

Groz nodded, knowing a verbal response would alert the guards. He raised his E-11 and lined the second Imperial in his sights. Then he let the Trooper have it. He unloaded fire that was bound to hit and kill him, if not him the two next to him.

Stepping into the lit rooms aboard the unregistered ship, Benton Ford raised his personal light up to where his soldiers stood. They were in the cargo hull of the ship captained by Alb Ob Thuh, and the captain wasn't in sight.

"Open the container."

Obeying, one of the three guards pulled out a vibrotorhc, and popped the lid off. Walking over, Benton peered down, laying eyes on the glittery substance that kept spacers and other riffraff going: spice.

"Good job, boys. Secure the vessel, and get it set aside," Benton barked out, stepping out of the hover-boat. The three guards that followed him were shortly behind him, but the fourth, whom didn't venutre in, stayed back to guard the boat. "I want the ship moved to the quarantine dock where we can chop it down and get to the route of this matter."

Proceding back to his post, Ford radioed in to his superior. "Got it, Captain. Ship's full of spice. Whoever Mr. Thuh is, he likes his Kessel Salt."

The officer acknowledged. "Good. I'll inform the Colonel, and see what he wants us to do with it. For there quarantine the vessel and see what else it's got."

"Roger"
