Hey, I'm new to Gaia and to the guild, but I've played in both PlayByWeb and RolePlay-OnLine, which are both play-by-post sites. I'm experienced with d20 rules (D&D 3.5 in particular) and and most familiar with Forgotten Realms, but I also have the Dragonlance book, and access to Eberron. If someone hasn't already, I'd like to refer the beginners here: http://www.d20srd.org/The core rules can be found there free of charge with no need to register, and they also have some of the expanded material.

Hey, ill join the beginners game, i haven't played in years so i would like the refresher. Also if anyone knows where i can get some 3.5 edition pdf files for character sheets and maybe the handbooks i'd love them.

I'm new to playing actual tabletop games online, am I going to have to buy a rule book or are there some basic websites I will need to use?

I've looked at those, most of them are at least $30 a pop, so... I think a bank robbery would barely cover it.

Wolven_Darkness I might be able to Dm a FR, but I doubt it... if no one apply's I could try.... would be a crappy campaign though... nvm dont pick me for that eek : razz oints at Wolven_Darkness and shouts-:: You're it! heh just kidding, we could do another campaign, I have a bunch of Forgotten Realm books in my house, my brother loved those things. quite basically theres always some diety up to no good and an evil plot. Or you could just play Baulder's Gate and get an idea from that. hey wait... haha I JUST realized I could have used the BGII character creator for this :smacks his head: dammit.

I mean this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/data/919881.htmlShadows of Amn + Throne of Baal, I bought the game several years ago and kinda stopped playing, it obviously uses some of the rules and abilities, I thought it would have been a cool idea to play it online as a group (only six players I think) as long as someone was hosting.

I'm going to be away for a couple days, but when I come back, we should be ready to start with the learner's game -- hopefully eneryone who wants in will have signed up by then! If not, they might have to wait until the next time I run one. We'll learn how to make characters for those that don't know how first, then the adventure proper should begin by midweek.

hey....iv been wanting to start a dice based game but im not sure how to do it within a forum.....so could who evers running this please PM me with how your doing this.........and also.....if you need any help with DMs i have the D&D monster guide, players guide and DM guide books.....so i could help out if you need me to
