He stuck out his lip, making it inflate until he resembled a sorrow stuck teenage who had just got done crying, then it transformed to a violent wave of anger and his arms crossed in front of his chest and he glared at her (the lip retreating back to its normal pose), next he was as happy as someone who had just had every dream completed (even those from your dizziest, ditsiest, daydream), and finally he settled back into the couch of sorrow. It was rather amusing to watch, and most people would probably have started laughing if they saw it. This was normal for Ki though, he did this every time Shinia ditched him.
"Ya- You ditched me again," he whined; amusement was sprayed into the worlds from his joy on how well his act was going (well it wasn't all an act, he was happy he found her and mad at her for ditching him, but the sorrow that was being over emphasized was just to push her buttons and see what she would do. Oh, and not to mention he was reading a rather sappy love story where people were crying and having affairs every few seconds).

The corner of Shania's mouth twitched into what might have been a smile. Sometimes it was hard not to fall over with laughter. Ki had yet to realize that his act had the opposite impact that he wanted. And she had no desire to point it out to him. "I didn't see you." she said with an honest apology. "Waiting there all of that time could not have been interesting." Shania lifted a hand to her head, tracing a finger across a braid.

Well, yeah. That was true. Ki had slipped out right when the meeting started; going off to explore and by the time he got back, the meeting was over. But he wasn't going to tell her that.
"You just didn't want to hang out with me! Instead you go off with these people!" Ki said in his obnoxious voice, which was a smidgen too high for his age; his arms also crossed over his chest again, his knee popping so he was sort of slanted, and finally his foot began tapping, "You know you didn't want to hang out with me, so you go off and have some fun without me!"
Ki was acting childish now and was lost in "The Act." He brought his hand to his forehead and overacted a headache; he pretended his knees were giving way; finally, he fell into her softly, his head going into her stomach and his hands wrapping around her waist. He then started to fake cry and whine about every little thing that he could think of.
Sister, was the perfect word to describe Shania. Ki didn't like her any other way and thought of her as a big sister (who he loved to annoy to no end, by following her where ever she went and making a big scene there). Secretly he loved her, but he would never tell her that. Let it be repeated that the love was a brother/sister kind, nothing more (not to mention the age gap). Like a dog he followed her and she was his most prized possession and he wouldn't let anyone have her. Again, this was something he would keep to himself (his heart had been hurt too many times before).
((Sorry it is taking me forever to respond. My computer is being slow. >.<))

Shania sat there considering the situation for a moment. She could pretend that this act was real and make some sort of attempt to comfort him. Or, she could give him a speech about behaving this way. Decisions Decisions she pondered. Reaching a decision she quickly stepped back as she tried to pry him from her. An image suddenly came to her of her older brothers. When she was little and tried to charge them they would hold out a hand. She had always came barreling for them and never saw the palm until she smacked her forehead into it. A grin slipped across her face at this. She may have to try that sometime, she thought affectionately. ((Haha. No worries. I love Ki by the way. Every post has made me giggle))

After a bit, when he realized that there were a few more planets revolving around him, he changed the subject (though he was still clinging to her harder then before). His face was tilted up and it look as if his eyes were two big bruised cherries.
"Shan-Shan," Ki called up to her, speaking louder then actually needed, "who are these... (he wasn't slow enough not to realize that the persons he was talking about were just behind him, so before he called them mongrels he blurted out) MONG-POLES?"
He still didn't bother looking back at the people behind him. If they didn't bother cooing and fussing over him like every other person, then they didn't deserve any more attention, what were they really? Nothing more then simple, mundane mung-poles.

"Mong...Poles." Shania repeated slowly, under her breath. He was making it increasingly difficult not to burst out in laughter. Shania turned and glanced back at the other two. "This is Aoi and Inanise." She explained to him. She paused for a moment before adding. "And this is my other appendage." Shania gestured to Ki, allowing laughter to finally escape her lips.

Ki slowly rose his face to see her laughing countenance. While his face was rising, his jaw was dropping. Sinking down to the most eel covered area in the sea. Dumbstruck, completely dumbstruck. She had finally corked his perpetual noise box. She hadn't turned it off, only stopped it until he could regain his barring. He completely forgot about the mong-poles behind him and continued to concentrate on her.
"Yo- wh-ho-I-n... What?" finally the pipe of words busted and out came a bunched up jumble of meshed up noises. "What" had finally ended the endless supply of random sounds. It was a very iridescent sight to so Ki silent. ((I really need to start going faster. Why the WHE (don't ask. I was at the pool with friends and instead of spelling Hell, I spelled WHE) is it taking me so long.))

Shania felt a moment of guilt. She had really meant that affectionately and wasn't entirely sure how to read this new behavior. "Of course. I can't go any where with out you." she flashed him a smile. "But no worries. You're an appendage I couldn't do without." That much was true.
((Yay. I have food and again, no worries. xd ))

Ki blushed deeply. He hugged her even tighter (it was a rather shocking surprise her upper and lower half weren't severed apart) and then let go and dropped to the ground, wrapping his body around her leg so she was stuck in one spot. He nuzzled her leg.
The hair atop his head was even worse then before. Now it look as if that one dude who parted the sea decided to come along and part the ocean of hair. It look as if someone's mustache was removed and plopped upside down on his head (well, only if the mustache was blue).
"So, so, so," Ki hooted up at her inquisitively, "whatcha doin'?" ((Oh yeah. I know that "the dude who parted the sea" was Joseph [right... I'm pretty sure]. I just wanted to make is sound more Ki. lol))

Shania stared as he wrapped himself around her leg. She knew it was a hopeless case but slowly started to move. There was no luck. He had planted himself squarely on her foot and there was no way she could move. "Ki." she protested. "Really. I'm not going to run off." she made a second attempt to move. "And I was trying to have dinner with these two." she added. Not that Ki was an unwelcome distraction. Actually, he always managed to take her mind off of all the problems happening in Laista right now. And that was very soothing.
((Wow. Tired. Walking around with the boyfriend for five hours will do that to you. Think I'm gonna go crash. biggrin Ki's awesome though. Oh. Just saw your question...Might have been Moses. Tho Joseph came after him. Not sure. Not that it actually matters for your post. Hehe))

A stranger with a sharp look in his eyes was walking around with his hands in his pockets. He ended up in a park and sat down on the bench and breathed for a while, looking up at the sky.

Aoi, once the whole scenario was done, could no longer hold himself. He laughed out loudly, so hard that he was able to shake of even Inanise's frim hold of his arm. It took him a few minutes before he could finally calm himself, then, upon excusing his behavior, bowed politely. "Aoi Umizu, and this is my friend, Inanise." With his right arm he gently pushed Inanise forward and closer to the two. He intended for her to make as many aquaintances as possible, and to get used to life outside of the forests outside of the city.
Inanise took cafeul steps forward not liking to be put under the spotlight. "Inaise Nox Noctis." she said with a small voice, just like before, barely audible. Inanise gave them both a small bow before retreating further into the background.
The one-armed Elemental chuckled soflty at his shy friend. He had his work cut out for him. Aoi then turned back to the 'appendage' and smiled. "Ki, if I may call you by that, would you like to join us for dinner? Lunch is past and my mom cooks really well. What say you?"
"Don't worry you will be most welcome." a voice from behind Aoi speaks, causing the tall man to turn.
Aoi looked at the face of his mother, Ellryna Umizu. The woman was at least 5'2" in height, with a kind face and a slim body. Wrinkles line her face like waves and she does nothing to hide them. "It's been a while, Aoi, and you haven't changed one bit." the woman laughed, her voice soft and motherly. Her white hair was done into a neat braid behind her that reached her shoulder.
Inanise looked at the woman. Her gentle face soothed her immediately and only Inanise's wall of caution kept her as shy and quiet as she was. So this...this is Aoi's mother. The one he kept talking about, she thought, seeing as Aoi went closer to hug his mother.
"You might know her," Aoi began to speak, placing his right arm around her as the mother and son faced their guests, "she's the lady that founded the cookie shop by the old fountain." he told them, mentioning an old shop near the center of town, a well-known sweets and bakery shop. "If you don't know her, then now you do." he laughed.
Mrs. Umizu slapped her son gently on his arm. "You never change." she told him, smiling. Then, facing her guests, "Please, come in. Any friend of my son is welcome in my home." With that, Ellryna stepped into the house, motioning for everyone to come in.
Inanise, who was still covered in her cloak all this time, shuffled to Aoi, who was holding the door open. "Please come in." he told them, allowing them to enter first. He knew well enough that Inanise would never step in first and so just let her stand beside him, out of the door's way. (( wow! definately done smoothly xD I don't think Aoi would have said anything except chuckle loudly, and Inanise would have just be silent in her confusion xDDD I do have one request though, the font color is just too harsh for the eyes and (I don't know if you do) I wear glasses so this makes it extremely difficult for my eyes ^^; I don't mind higlighting your posts each and every time, but if it's alright could you switch it to a darker color? No offense meant, it's just difficult ^^;;;; Thanks. Also, I hope it's okay for me to add that cookie shop. The shop's name is "Cookie Shop" so xD yeah.))

Patchwork Emotions ((Taking into consideration how the temp thing should work. Also, Zell, I started a profile thread. If you want to post yours go for it, otherwise I will for you.))
Elwen rolled her eyes. "You missed out on very little." she said. "No one understands what was going on. It was all nonsense coming out of everyone's mouth. They're frightened. Can't show it. Pretend they know something." she pointed down the street. "The gurus are now going for a private meeting where they can fight about the right answer." She flicked her blue eyes back to him. "Personally, that seems foolish to me." she stated. "They'll find more answers on the streets-talking to other elementals. I suppose that's what I'm doing. I can see I found a useful source" the last line dripped with sarcasm. "Hey thats mean. It's not my fault that I fell asleep. Blame my health. Since my powers have gone out of control I'm usually always sick and tired." He turned to look at the blue sky. "I haven't used my powers in months. I used to use them for common everydays thigs like cleaning but now I don't know if I will cause a tornado or huricanne." Asiago turned back towards her and said, "I ahven't got your name yet."

After the salutations and the wave of "Hi" to each of them from Ki, he got off of Shania's leg and stood. An arms slithered around hers and then he pulled as hards as he could and forced her inside. Once the world outside evaporated and they were inside, Ki rushed to a chair, plopped down and began reading in reverse. (He had a messenger back on and in here were a bunch of things, though he will never take it off until he is at his own house.) The books title was Love and Sins, (which is the book mentioned above somewhere). He wasn't actually reading upside down. You see, he does a lot of exploring (most of the time in none of the nicer stores) and one day he came across a Second-Hand store (though it probably should have been a 12th or 13th Hand Store). There was only one book in there that wasn't so old you couldn't read what was written, and it was the one in his hands. The problem inside wasn't even that severe, the pages were all put in upside down, which really isn't that bad. Rich people just don't like to appear stupid.
A chapter passed through his fingers and hands in lightening speed (well, about five minutes) when he finally got up. It was time to explore. First he bound around the room, hugged Shania when he got to her, then hugged Ellryna, next it was Aoi's turn, and final- there wasn't a finally. As soon as Ki touched Aoi, everything felt all funny. He was experiencing something he hadn't felt sense the night of his parents death. This time however, the same two powers were recognizing each other. The built up energy that hadn't been used in so long, now was trying to overload Aoi with it. ((Is gray O.K. for now?))
