Nyack let the leopardess do as she willed. He stalked off and laid down a few feet from the kill. It was hers after all and he had willingly given it up. He merely cleaned the blood off his muzzle and snarled at the single minded vultures. He had gotten the meal for her but still felt the need to protect it.

The leopardess ate until her stomach could hold no more. She checked the sun's position, and was displeased with what she had seen. She'd spent most of the day there, something she had not intended on doing.
"I must be off now, Nyack," she said. Once again, she didn't thank him for the meal. "Hopefully we shall meet again," She said, and these words were sincere. Anyone willing to bring down a zebra and then just give it to her was welcome back any time.
She dipped her head slightly and turned to head off.

The lion hesitated then nodded. "Yah! That would be great!" He called after her, watching the leopardess go. His tail flickered as his ears were lowered. So that was it, huh? Another new friend disappearing into the world beyond.
He smiled. At least he'd met someone new and she did want to see him again! That was something. He picked himself up, his tail flickering as he debated which way to go. With that he was back on his journey again.
