Chapter 3
Bob’s POV.
s**t! Why now? Why not later? It can’t be happening now! Not in the middle of the ceremony!!
“G-g-get the c-car ready” I stuttered to Gerard. Why was I stuttering? I never stutter!
I slipped the ring into my pocket and carefully picked up Maria, carrying her to the car to drive her to the hospital. We may have to postpone the wedding but there is no way that my child is going to be born on the floor of a church!
I put her carefully in the back seat of the car. Heh, that’s where this little mess started. She grabbed my hand, pulling me into the car to sit beside her. I shut the car door as she rested her head on my legs, tears streaming down her face.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart” she said in between sobs.
I kissed her forhead as Gerard started driving.
“It’s okay, the wedding can wait. Right now I want you to keep the little one safely inside until we get to the hospital. Do you think you can do that, babe?”
She nodded, “I’ll try.”
I wiped the tears from her face as she smiled, before screaming in pain from a contraction.
“I’ll be glad when it’s out!” She laughed through the pain.
“So will I” I said smiling as I put my hand on her tummy.
She screamed in pain again. What was that, 5 minutes since the last one?
“Honey,” she said through gritted teeth. “I don’t think it’s going to wait until we get to the hospital.”
Maria's POV
There was no way in hell that I was going to keep this baby from coming out. It was coming, and it was coming now!
