I have to say Paige, only because she's a little more light hearted and ALOT funnier than Prue. Though Prue was a good big sister, but she was a little too serious for me. Paige knows how to get out there and have some fun!

i found prue to be too bossy and she always seemed to prattle on about demons and s**t whereas paige does care about all that but i like her cause she took time out to have fun,whereas prue was all about demons and never seemed to take time out for herself and i never really liked prue anyways....so........yeah

Prue is my favorite witch out of any of the "3" (yea..I know there's four)
She is the more powerful one. Her magic as well as her personality or more dominant. Yet, she has the motive that makes her less of a, control freak. She wants to be the protective one and truly cares about her sisters even though at the beginning she seemed a little too protective of herself to let them into her heart. She never was trying to be mean. She understands the necessity of balance in life and tries to control her surroundings (perhaps her biggest flaw).
Its true, Piper and Phoebe were glued under her wings. After she died they had to face the world (both magical and mortal) without someone they had always had as a guide and shield (plus Leo...I guess). I think this adds to Prue's value as a witch because her death contrubuted to the growth of Piper and Pheobe.
Paige is the weaker witch. Her personality just didn't seem to fill the hole that Prue had left. Her strong spirit... Piper had to fill in the gaps...
Well, I just admire Prue much much more!

I like them both in different ways, Prue is more stronger than Paige but is more determined to be a witch than Prue was and Their powers were so very different but similar in their own ways. Prue was older had more of a stronger roll than Paige had. Although Paige wasn't so self involved as much as Prue was and less hateful she was just a little more careless than Prue was, You know I just can't decide they are both good in their own ways but if you told me to choose between Shannon or Rose's rolls and how they portrayed Prue and Paige then I would have to choose Paige.

As a fan who has watched episodes, and has studied about witches extensively, it is equal.
I love them both. Pru was more powerful and could handle more. She was the stronger person and had natural talent. AND she was more decisive, strong willed, and had better leadership.
Paige on the other hand was half and half. So she didnt have the pure blood of a witch nor was she always around it. She came up with better strategies and caught on faster. She was also able to orb. Because of her White lighter half, she is NATURALLY going to be more passive than Pru. Pru was the oldest sister and had to take command. Paige was the youngest sibling and was allowed to be care free.
One of the biggest reasons they killed of Prue was b/c the actress herself was a...for a lack of a perfect word...a b***h! She wanted more money and believed she was flawless in all she did. She isnt the best person to work with. A decent person otherwise though. smile

A decent person otherwise though. smile Don't believe everything you hear. wink I don't really like getting into debates about this, and this isn't what this thread is about, but I just feel the need to say it. The show's creator Constance Burge wanted the show to continue with Charmed being more about sisters who happened to be witches. Brad Kern wanted to change it to being about witches who happened to be sisters. Shannen (Prue) supported Constance. Constance ended up losing out to Kern, Shannen disagreed with the way Kern was taking the show. At the end of season three, Shannen was told that she'd be returning for next season and possibly directing some more episodes. While off shooting a movie, she got fired. That's according to Holly (Piper) by the way, who was outraged with how it happened. And yes her and Alyssa also had a few issues but it was not the main reason. Anyway I'm sorry for going on and it wasn't directed at you, it's just so many people believe the rumours that she's like that and it gets to me some times. smile I'm glad to get it off my chest. You're right that Paige was more balanced, but to me Prue will always be the better Charmed one. 3nodding

Prue had more control and leadership over piper and phoebe,whereas when paige came into the picture,she cared about the magic and evil stuff,but she still had a life...whereas Prue did sort've obsess over the whole Triad thing in s3 but she did well in her head witch role...
With all this i'm going to go with Paige,because she added something different into the show's plot line after Prue died.. 3nodding

Prue was wayyyyy better!
She was amazing and Paige was insubordinate all the time and she thought she was all that! I like Paige but I definitely liked Prue better. Prue was in control and she new what she was doing unlike Paige. I am sorry I just think Prue had a sense of togetherness and I she should have stayed on Charmed!
